everything was working fine but now im finding certain email recipients arent recieving my emails, some do but some dont. i dont recieve a bounceback reply either

Recently Thunderbird is not displaying new mail in inbox. It shows in my webmail service. It shows if I make a selctive search. It shows in notifications. All new mail does not show nut one or two may. It's just inconsistenct. I have tried the suggestion of re-indexing from the Thunderbord option to do that.

When I went to use the email account today i got a message saying the account is blocked due to abuse. I have no idea what this means.
It is now also asking for my password but I don't know my password. How do I fix this issue.

I used to be able to use any of my logins for my email domain/provider for sending outgoing emails.
Now the account email used to authenticate the smtp client has to match the "from" for the emails. For the six email accounts that I currently am managing in Thunderbird, that means I have to go in to my account settings and change/verify a different outgoing email account every time I try to send an email message.
You need to change it so in each account setting, you can specify which smtp setting is used for that email account, instead of having smtp set up as a single, separate entity.

As of now I need to click on the email and it comes up on another page and there is a lot of back and forth. Basic UI: my wife had three message windows showing but not the main inbox. This is running on a Mac. Cmd-1 in any of the windows did NOT display the Inbox. AND THERE AREN'T ANY MENU OPTIONS THAT ARE APPARENT TO BRING UP THE MAIN WINDOW! What?! Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to bring up the main window with my message list if it isn't already showing? (And please don't tell me to go to Settings. That worked, indirectly, but it's the least intuitive approach I think I've ever seen.)

Hi, I recently switched from Pop3 to IMAP. There have been problems repeatedly to sign in with pop3.
A few days later, the problem started. Since then I have not been able to send out mails. I checked browser, Windows and Bitdefender settings. But no change. Since I can send out mails on my iphone and via my provider's vodafonemail, I would guess the problem is thunderbird. I went thru the whole recommended thunderbird prodedures but no success.
So I need your help or I will have to change my email programme.

I have two email accounts on Thunderbird and have for many years. Recently Microsoft365 or something similar has taken over Thunderbird and since then I am unable to sign in and get messages to say there was an authentification issue. I create new passwords constantly which is what they ask for and it works for a day or two and then it happens again. It's like Groundhog Day and is doing my head in. It happens with both emails. One of these is my work email and so important to me. I also think I pay Microsoft 365 $3 monthly so that I can access emails at all. I am not computer smart at all and so if this is replied to can it be dumbed down for me please.

A neighbour and I both use Thunderbird and are both members of a small residents' committee. I have been sending items out using the Thunderbird account linked to my website. Some have received them (not thunderbird users) but others have not. I can write to everyone using a different (gmail) account which also uses Thunderbird, and everyone gets them. The neighbour likewise can write to me direct from her gmail account (ie not using Thunderbird) but not from her main account using Thunderbird.
I checked on recent updates and restarted the laptop but that made no difference.
That all sounds very confusing and yes I am confused and would welcome some simple advice (I am not an expert!)on where we start to track this down. I suspect we're missing something simple. I hope so! Many thanks Paul

I have set up a new laptops a few month back and since then, I am having issues with some emails from my contacts going into the junk folder. Last night one of my client who I have been emailing all week ended up into the junk folder and I can't understand how. My provider is 123 Reg and I have checked with them and there are no issues on their side. I tried to unistall Thunderbird from my PC and download it again thinking that would delete and setting but when I reinstall it, it's already all set up. Any help/tip would be greatly appreciated. While deleting emails from trash, I mistakenly checked the box that says, "Don't ask me this again." How do I undo that? Thanks for your help.
