I'm having major problems with Firefox and was able to use it for a long time and I love the software to death. But it has given this problem that I have run into before which the only way I was able to fix it was a full wipe of my computer to factory settings. So with this I started to troubleshoot on what I could do and reinstall was the first and send commands to refresh the dns but I found to what seems to be a startup incomplete file in the Firefox software and it seems to create itself even when deleted. It could be this which is causing problems but all I know for certain that when I click on Firefox it won't open at all or startup. With the only evidence that it responded from task manager or a popup talking about wanting to refresh Firefox for 0.1 milliseconds

Tnx, Larry Yesterday I got a full page notice that told me my access to Firefox will be shut down because my Defender detected that I had stepped in some SHXT while visiting something in Firefox. They gave me a phone number of Microsoft something to call to fix it. I did not call because it seemed like malware, I guess it wasn't because soon after Firefox would not load. I will get this when I try: Says: cannot find server v3lpea6ndyxwl4.azureedge.net , I have run Malwarebytes and Defender and rebooted. Any ideas?

Firefox is already running old Firefox must be closed. I have tried everything in the help menu. delete parent.lock , restarting etc. nothing is working. I can create new profile but i cant find any toolbar, bookmarks etc please help

I can not open my firefox browser. I never had this problem before. When I click on the icon I have on my bottom of my computer it says I can not get on it says many different error messages being sent. I am not a computer whiz so what should I do? should I uninstall it and re-stall it? would I loose everything I have book marked. HELP

When I approved the installation of the latest Foxfire update this morning, I got the message "Couldn't load XPCOM." Another popup message included "error status 0xc000012f." Firefox does not work. Thanks, Joan Karrie

The Firefox I was using was crushed entirely and lost all my passwords, bookmarks, etc. The app's folder is not accessible. Then I downloaded a new version, and when I tried to open the app, a dialogue box said Firefox was trying to install a helper. Cancel does not work, and the "OK" stops the opening. I have a Mac with an OS Sequoia 15.

I tried to transfer the json, place.., key4, etc by copying from the old information i have, but the system does not work.

Firefox did an update and "couldn't find XPCOM" and crashed. Uninstalled and re-installed but now my Firefox icon opens a website "nine.com.au". I WANT MY FIREFOX BACK!!!!!

I download Firefox with the intention to use it as my Primary Browser 7 times. ((vs Google) I did input the 6 digit number that you sent me. But it keeps disapearing & preventing me from opening it. I suspect that Google is doing something to impede me to finalize this process. Please help me get Free from the Tirny of Unethical Google!

No matter what I did(and I did go through all the steps suggested on line) the program locks up my computer when I would try to start it. I'm on a Windows 10 lap top ver. 19045 with a fresh reinstall of windows.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, both under user and admin rights, getting fresh install files with and without having the security and firewall on, running it under admin rights without security or firewall. I tried repairing the program before uninstalling it.

Nothing worked. The program would lock up my computer every time I tried to start it. my only choice would be to power down the computer and start over. I was looking for a browser less resource hungry than Google and not quite as intrusive. Maybe you can suggest one that works.

I got a random pop up on Firefox that I clicked without fully reading it, which closed Firefox and then prompted me for the administrator password (aka the password of that account on my laptop) so Firefox can install a helper tool. I did, and it did nothing. Every time I try to open Firefox I get the same pop up prompt and no matter how many times I give the password nothing happens, and I can't open the application. Clicking cancel on the prompt also does nothing.

I logged onto a different account on my laptop and can use Firefox like normal, but none of my settings/bookmarks/passwords from my other Mac account are saved here.

I would just delete and reinstall Firefox on the administrator account that is having this issue, but I don't know if I have anything properly backed up on Firefox, and I have a ton of things saved on there that I really don't want to lose. What do I do? Please help :(

Lately every time I open Firefox on my PC (Win 10) it says that it is already running and that I need to close it first. How can that be if I just started the computer session?

I am trying to sign in , Firefox is my browser. message come on that firefox is running but it does not open. I close it once and again as the same sign comes uo telling me it is running and close the attempts.

Do I really NEED to swithc to another browser to avoid this?

Restarted W10 pc. Firefox is set to open on restart open previous tabs. Firefox did not open. Cannot open Firefox application manually. Running Ironscales and Sentinel One on PC. Running Privacy Badger on Firefox. Firefox was slow opening pages yesterday. I thought it was my INET connection.
