Hello. Yesterday when I started my PC, the Firefox browser wouldn't restore my previous session. This has of course happened before, so I restarted, but that didn't help. So then I have to restore all the pages myself, boring. BUT, when firefox doesn't remember any of my usual pages, I'm starting to worry. Then I think I want to update Firefox, and that's when I discover my main problem.....I can't access the menu in the three symbols at the top right (shown in the picture/attachment). I can't open my profile, can't open extensions, can't download anything or open the downloads icon, and most importantly, CAN NOT open the "Open application menu" (the icon with three horizontal lines), so THEN I have a big problem. The menu bar and everything there is available, but without access to "Open application menu" I can't reinstall Firefox. I can't save bookmarks either, or see if the bookmarks are in a backup or something. So, I don't dare delete firefox, then reinstall it, without knowing if I'll find my bookmarks again. I've tried saving them to a file, but I've never heard of a JSON file, and I don't know how to process it. I should also add that I deleted all my AVAST anti virus programs and files two days ago. And I have found out that I do have the latest firefox update. Hope someone can help me or give me some tips. I'm not particularly computer savvy either, just so you know. Copied Firefox profile in W10

Pasting into Profiles folder in W11 but it won't let me do it. See attached.

I have enabled LongPaths in the registry but that hasn't solved the problem.

I would be interested in modifying the behavior of Firefox's urlbar / omnibox such that domain names are displayed in “reverse notation”, e.g. org.mozilla.support instead of support.mozilla.org.

From a cursory look at Firefox's setting, I couldn't find any browser.urlbar.* setting that relates to reverse domain name notation.

I also spent some time looking at add-on development documentation. Albeit being unfamiliar with the technology, it seems to me that the omnibox permission in the manifest.json file will only grant the add-on APIs to extend the functionalities of the bar, rather than allow the add-on to modify how the bar's contents are displayed.

I would be interested to know if there might be a way to achieve reverse domain name notation that I might have missed, or whether this is impossible to do.

If this is the wrong place to ask, I'd be glad if you could suggest what forum/mailing list may be appropriate for this kind of questions.

This is a new cheap Chinese laptop from Amazon called ANPCOWER. It seemed to be set up to only use Microsoft. I have used Firefox for decades. It changed all my documents to Microsoft and I can't access them anymore..

i have been using firefox for years without issues. just now i booted up on my laptop and a reset firefox question came up so i thought oh okay why not? I LOST MY FB PAGE/400+ FRIENDS... I LOST LEVEL 700+ IN A GAME APP.... all acting like this was day one!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF???????????????? HELP!!!!!!!!!

lately I am unable to connect to some websites - I am getting a lot of "Hmm we're having trouble finding that site." I have to get to them using Safari or Chrome.

I am a long time user of firefox, but over at least the last six months I find that I have to use another browser to log into or use various websites - and I find it very difficult to contact you to try to find remedy. Started out several months ago. Could not verify - captcha - had to use Brave to complete login to complete purchase of subscription. Happening more often as time passes. I can complete logins only when I switch to Brave or Vivaldi. Do not want to switch browsers, but becoming more and more likely.

I logged in a few minutes ago and all my bookmarks are gone. It says my bookmarks are empty. I've used Firefox for years and never had this happen. How can this be fixed?
