I am hoping that a permanent fix can be made to the bookmarks toolbar issue where another program may be using a file that allows it to show at the top of my screen. It keeps disappearing and I complete a fix and it disappears later in the week. Thanks Brian

how do i get rid of this folder (recent bookmarks) and who thought this [edited] was needed?

I recently updated Firefox on my computer. After that, I can't find my old Bookmarks.

Also I find that I am UNABLE to add any new Bookmark. When I click on the 'Star' in the browser toolbar, there is nothing. Before I used to Get the Add Bookmark tab and a place to SAVE, now there is nothing.

Even after I type in the URL in the address bar, and open up the required page, I am unable to Add it to my Bookmarks.

Mein Thema betrifft die Änderung der Lesezeichen Verwaltung. Die Lesezeichen bleiben nicht mehr sichtbar sobald man auf eine andere Stelle mit dem Mauszeiger klickt z. B. um einen Tab durch das ziehen mit der Maus in die Lesezeichen ein zu sortieren. Dann funktioniert das scrollen mit der Maus nicht mehr, man muss zwangsweise mit dem Mauszeiger auf einen der Pfeile gehen um das scrollen zu ermöglichen. Wenn man neue Lesezeichen hinzufügen will, oder Lesezeichen in Unterordner öffnen möchte, dann muss mann sämtliche Unterordner umständlich mit dem Mauszeiger aufklappen, wenn man nicht richtig trifft fängt man wieder von vorne an. Wie bekomme ich die vorige Einstellung, und meines erachtens bessere Lesezeichenverwaltung, wieder hin?

Recently i added some bookmarks in a dedicated folder. Afterwards i don't see the bookmark in that folder. Hoever if i click on "Search bookmarks" and enter its name the bookmark is listed. If i then rightclick on it and select "Show in folder", the bookmark is shown in the correct folder. What is wrong ? Thanks

I wish to save my bookmarks in alphabetical order, first the folders and then any bookmarks that have not yet been allocated to a specific folder. This used to be possible as I gave reorganised the older bookmark folders are in alphabeical order previously. This seems to be no longer posible. I can reorganise them in View but cannot save them. When backing up bookmarks to HTML - HTML Back-Up does not include the TOOLBAR Bookmarks. Please advise how to include the toolbar bookmarks in HTML format. Thank you.

Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message. I fixed it 2 days ago thanks to your method and today I find myself in the same situation once more... And I confess I"m fed up. Not the only issue with Firefox (like denied access to many webpages) although I share its values and then I'll be giving up !

All my bookmarks and toolbar have disappeared. Even new url(s) that I bookmark do not show up. I have followed many recommendations from Mozilla to no avail. Need help from a very frustrated user.

Hi, I would like to export all my bookmarks once a day. This needs to happen automatically because it will be part of a bigger idea where I will be working with this file etc.

Is there any way to do this? For example: - do it using API directly in the Firefox Sync service? - do it via command line in Windows?

Any other idea?

I've imported my boockmarks as an HTML file from my windows10 PC to my new Windows11 PC. they are in a folder marked bookmarks Toolbar, but they aren't on it. How do I get them onto the toobar?
