I need to change some config settings to prevent some problems that corrupt the screen or crash Firefox on android almost every day. I found that using a Bluetooth reduces the frequency of these problems, but it still happens and is very frustrating.

Our mall window has vanished - the only one that appears is one saying " conversations will appear here". No way to exit or open any other window. None of the remedies we've found on the internet work as the options they list don't appear on the window and the menu that is there, doesn't open to anywhere useful. Luckily we also have Apple mail , otherwise we couldn't access any answers.

Prefer not to download new version as we want to keep our archives etc.

I am trying to move my profiles to another drive since I am out of room on my C: drive. I followed directions in a reply to a similar question and when I create the new profile using the thunderbird.exe -p command I get a totally blank window for thunderbird. There are not even menus displayed. If I click in the window it says thunderbird not responding. I tried the process several times and get the same results every time. Any ideas?

I tried to purchase something on Amazon. When trying to log into my Amazon account it asks to perform 2Fa on my mobile or use a pass key. But neither option responds and Firefox is completely locked up - cannot tab, select menu options etc. I have to use the Apple Mac Force Quit screen to kill it. But when I open Firefox again, the same tabs appear and it's still locked up on the Amazon screen. Cannot use Firefox at all now, forced to use Chrome. How can you reset FF. so that it just opens a new screen?

somewhere along the line I have screwed up Thunderbird on my Desktop computer. I am stuck with a spinning wheel and no recovery in any of my 5 accounts for the past year. I can receive all message on my Kindle Fire 10 so I am not out of business I need to know what steps I can use to halt the messages coming in on my Desktop Computer and not lose any of my messages. My action that seemed to cause my problem was try to do a mass marking of some 60,00 unread messages as read in my wife's primary account. Any ideas will be welcome. Thanks, Bo Edwards

Hi, Been a Thunderbird user for many years - decades. Suddenly, this morning it won't load or open. Tried repeatedly, always same error message. Running Mac Sequoia 15..1.1 Get a crash report, then attempt to reopen but always same result. Screengrab of how it looks attached, this is just before it crashes. All current e-mails inaccessible, and most of the archive stretching back a long time.I've been able to set up MacMail on the active accounts so I can now receive and send, I have managed to import some old archive but everything for some years, particularly recent archived is inaccessible. There have been a couple of instances over the past week where loading was slow, opened to a blank window but a quick restart always worked. Not this morning. How can I continue? Or at least open to access archives. For some reason tre archive folder structure changed some years back and I can't access those more recent folders.

Please advise.......

When I filled out a ticket for support last week, I was told that Thunderbird is some minor entity hardly even connected with Mozilla. Therefore, I assume they don't have any independent support system -- yet they beg for donations! Problem is, on the set-up page for using an existing account, once the name, e-mail address (in my case denwilalt@gmail.com) and password for that account are entered and the popup activates to connect to the account, the screen goes blank -- time after time! -- and the only follow-up is a dialog box stating something to the effect, "sorry -- Thunderbird crashed, try again some other time." After three weeks I'm sick of it and have concluded the ones asking for donations have no intention of checking or maintaining the Website. But isn't that part of their job? I am using Windows 7 have installed the correct program for my 32-bit OS and have never had difficulty using Thunderbird in the past. Who in the entire organization looks after a solution to a problem like this?!

Hello, I have been using Thunderbird for a long time and have a lot of saved messages because I use it to document projects and conversations, etc. About 6 years ago, Thunderbird deleted all my emails and I never recovered them. Sometime last year, I realized that in the older emails, the body of the emails and their subject lines were all mixed up, that is, the email was intact but the subject line was from a different email. I tried to re-index (?) the files and this helped, but didn't completely resolve the issue. Now, my problem is that, when I am reviewing my inbox and delete an unwanted message, the inbox goes blank. I have to close Thunderbird and reopen it, and then the inbox reappears. I get hundreds of emails per day and I need to be able to delete them as I go. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I moved my work email (sub)folders within Thunderbird after adding a new work email account (Pop3). After that I found that some of the subfolders are missing alltogether and some of them are empty, the emails that were in that folder are not there anymore, and nor in the original folder where it was first located. When showing the size of the folder it shows e.g. 14.7 MB even though it sais "0" messages. It looks like the messages are still there but they are not showing.

And now every time I try to move a message into a subfolder, or delete a message, I am getting an error message about some error writing to some specific folder failing when compacting, and whether there is sufficient disc space.

But there is still 150 GB of free space on the C drive

The I have to shut down Thunderbird and restart it because non of the folders show any messages anymore.

Any idea what is happening here ?

There is a common error documented in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-already-running-not-responding but none of the solutions fix my problem.

I have signed out of my PC and mobile devices Done a complete uninstall of firefox on the Windows 11 machine Searched and removed ALL files on the drive associated with Firefox or Mozilla, including cache and temp Searched and removed ALL Firefox or Mozilla keys in the registry Checkdisk Used update to refresh the windows install Multiple reboots

and a fresh download and install of Firefox. And still get the "already running" error. If I wait long enough - several minutes - I will get the "crash report" screen as the background process finally ends.

Any suggestions?
