I've exported my bookmarks as an HTML file on my old computer (Win 11 Firefox ver 149.0.2) using a USB drive and tried to upload the file to my new computer (Win 11 Firefox Ver 149.0.2.). Only a few dozen of hundreds of bookmarks transferred. Repeated tries simply add the same bookmarks to the menu.

I've tried sync. Both computers are signed in and are correctly listed in the connected services box. Syncing is ON and when I select the Sync Now button on either computer screen, the Sync Now switches very briefly to Syncing and then back to Sync Now. Sync has transferred no data from my old computer to my new computer.

I've been a Firefox user for ~15 years or so and specifically a Nightly user for about 10 of those. On my Samsung Galaxy S24+ I recently had to reinstall the Nightly app; However, when I logged in and confirmed my identity to Mozilla™ it appears to have synced everything EXCEPT my bookmarks. Luckily I had the standard Firefox Browser for Android app also installed on the same device so not all is lost.

My Question: What could cause Nightly to sync other things but exclude bookmarks? Is there a way to export the ones from the other Firefox version to a file, then import them to Nightly?

Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated! Thanks In Advance :-)

Dear All, I recently reinstalled Windows and updated to the latest Firefox. When I tried to sign in to sync/restore my bookmarks, Firefox could not recognize my password. I reset it and used the new password, but the bookmarks that appeared were outdated, and not all information synced to my current account.Could you please advise on the steps (or a quick solution) to fix this?Many thanks for your support in advance.Kind regards, Tareq Zeyad

i have synced everything and 3 days ago when i restarted my pc and launched firefox everything was deleted and i had to login to my account and firefox saw it as a new pc today it hapenned again after pc restart and i have like 4 same pc with open cards and i cant back them back i have to launch everything by hand and i dont want it to happen again had no problem for 4 years of using

Recently, for some reason, my Send to Device on mobile doesn't send the tab to Desktop. I'm running the latest Firefox on PC and mobile (Galaxy S25+ latest Android version).

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling mobile, logging out/reconnecting my Firefox account on PC and rebooting but nothing seems to work. I CAN send from PC to mobile device; just not the other way around. Started maybe a month or so ago without warning.

I'm signed in on both the mobile and desktop app with the same account, sync is on for both of these, but the sync is not actually happening. None of my passwords or history is accessible in the mobile app. It also seems to not save any history at all because I keep having to type in whole web addresses instead of the app filling in the rest itself, even though I've visited these websites many times. There's no error in the settings or anything, it's just not working properly.

My desktop history is no longer synching with my phone. I have the proper desktop device synced.

I have sync turned on.

I haven’t checked, but I’ll venture to guess my bookmarks and open tabs aren’t syncing either.

Why?

After the latest Firefox update (ref d58ebe), my bookmarks and saved passwords are not syncing. Tried signing out and back in.

On IOS, for the last few days, the syncing of my profile has been failing, because of a timeout.

I have gone so far as to delete my many year-old Firefox Sync profile and rebuild it from scratch, reconnecting various machines. I have also carefully examined said profile, bookmarks, etc. I am unsure of what the timeout issue is, and whether it can be addressed, or of whether my particular use-case is no longer suitable (over the last few days) from Firefox Sync, which is one key reason I've been using Firefox more or less since inception.

Any advice, or is there a bug in the Sync back or front-end?

After the latest Firefox update (ref faf23d), my bookmarks and saved passwords are not syncing. Tried signing out and back in.

Description: Bookmarks saved in the Bookmarks Toolbar on Firefox Desktop are not being synced to Firefox for iOS. Bookmarks saved in other folders (e.g. Bookmarks Menu) sync correctly and appear on iOS as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add a bookmark to the Bookmarks Toolbar on Firefox Desktop.
2. Wait for sync or trigger sync manually.
3. Open Firefox on iOS and check bookmarks.

Expected behavior: The bookmark appears in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder on iOS.

Actual behavior: The Bookmarks Toolbar folder on iOS still shows outdated content. Bookmarks in other folders sync without issues.

Troubleshooting already performed:

• Disconnected and reconnected Sync on iOS
• Reinstalled Firefox on iOS
• Enabled background app refresh for Firefox on iOS
• Verified that both devices are connected to the same Mozilla account (last sync timestamp confirmed on accounts.firefox.com)

Environment:

• Desktop: Firefox 149.0 (64-Bit)
• iOS: Firefox for iOS 149.1
