I have downloaded and deleted Firefox a dozen times and history and cache and still it is not allowing me to have the Chose User Profile to pop up

I have been trying for the last 2 days to get the Firefox -Choose User Profile to come up and each time I add the below in the terminal

/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin -P

I get

Alans-MacBook-Pro:~ alanbmillard$ /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin -P -bash: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin: No such file or directory Alans-MacBook-Pro:~ alanbmillard$

So it states no such file or directory when Firefox is definately in the Applications folder

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you in advance

hi fellas i just bought macbook air 2012 in which OS is high seara and with no updates i want to ask that firefox works on older version like high seara ? anyone with personal experience?

I went to Ugsound.com accidently while using Firefox on my Imac. The Firefox warning came up immediately and I left the site. Did Firefox protect me from malicious virus or was it too late? I was on the site for maybe 7-8 seconds.

Hi, When i want a new tab on Firefox i have 'Freshy' which appears while with Safari this does not happen .I heard that Freshy is an Hacker site .Pls lest me know how can I Remove it or avoid it Thanks for your feedback Regards

When I clear History and cache, either using the menu or quitting the browser (which has the preference set to clear upon closing), then go back to the same Web site I was on, it uses an old version of the page not one that I revised and uploaded on the server. How do I force it to go look in the server anew, or stop using files that I thought I could clear.

I am using Firefox 115.150 esr or MAC 10.15.7.  Thank you.

I have an Imac desktop. I can't send my vacation pictures to my relatives because they don't have smart phones.

Yesterday I have updated tp macOS 15. Sine then I have trupuble displaying any webpages in Firefox 130. Th econnection just times out. Any other browser such as Brave, Safari, Home, Edge are still working as before teh update. How to fix this please?

I have not noticed this before upgrading my Mac to Sequoia 15.0, using latest Firefox browser update, but "printing to PDF" which I used in the past extensively, makes a PDF file that causes the letters to be one ASCII number off. So if I type into the "search" field "p", then all the "o's" are highlighted. I can only enter a search term if I usean "ASCII number +1" technique, so I can search for "get" by typing in "fds". Numbers are searched for as in the past. This is not happening if I make a PDF using my Safari browser, all the PDF words are correct and searchable as in the past. Anyone have insights as to why this might be occurring? I will try restarting in "safe" mode and re-downloading Firefox as is suggested in some of the articles here. Thanks!

I just downloaded Thunderbird to gain access to my existing Outlook and Apple email accounts. However, Thunderbird does not work with Mac 10.13.6 OS. Do you have any suggestions to implement the "Modern Authentication Methods" with my older 10.13.6 OS? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

After recent update bookmarks disappeared. When I restore them and then close firefox developer edition the bookmarks toolbar is gone again. It seems like a bug in that recent update. Please advise.

I contacted Apple and they couldn't fix Firefox not working on my MacBook Pro (error: page can’t be displayed, server error). This started after I upgraded to iOS Sequoia 15.0. I disabled my VPN and also reinstalled the Firefox app and it is still not working. Apple says Mozilla may need to release a new update. Please advise what you or I can do to fix the issue. Note: I can access the Firefox page using Safari and Edge so it’s not an internet connection issue.

After the most recent update of FF on Mac OS Sequoia, suddenly I am no longer able to login to either of my routers, because they require http and FF keeps forcing https.

This results in no login gui but instead an ‘unable to connect’ error message.

I have researched and tried every conceivable fix and nothing works (settings, about:config, cookies, cache, all of it.

I would have expected that simply adding exceptions in settings would work, but it simply doesn’t.

I can login via Safari, so this is clearly a FF issue. It even happens in Safe Mode.

Kind of at my wits end. Anyone have a fix.

Latest update (10/2/24) is impossible to use. How can I get back the prior version for Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 on my Macbook Air?

I have a TBI that really limits my ability to process information. The tabs now have a dropdown that is very confusing and gets in the way of my working. I have to shut Firefox and leave the computer, but of course when I am recovered from the confusion, I come back to the same situation.

I was able to find a way to stop the even-more-frustrating dropdown video preview, but it's not enough.

I have relied on FF for years, but it seem that putting more bells & whistles is more important than providing a functional browser interface. Please explain to me in plain English how to remove the overloaded browser and revert to a version I can utlize without a breakdown.

I have a new iMac (sonoma): I've migrated previous data to this machine and updated Firefox, but saved passwords are having problems. Some of my paid subscriptions are not letting me sign in, either through saved pws, or doing it manually. A few others seem to work okay. I've tried a few on Safari, where they work, so I suspect I have to change a setting in Firefox. But what? Any advice gratefully received.
