Running Firefox on MacOS. Browser will occasionally delete previous session when re-opening the browser. I do NOT have the browser set to clear history on closing. I have noticed that two of the incidents occurred when I accidentally closed the default window that opened when restarting the browser but I still had Firefox open.

Really frustrating when I lose all my open tabs with research I was conducting for work.

So I have the latest version of macOS Ventura, the latest version of Firefox, and the latest version of Roblox. Whenever I try to open a Roblox game from their website (yes, I know. Roblox now has the desktop app so you don't need the website to open a game), it opens the app, but not the link, which means it doesn't open the game :( Does anybody know how to get Firefox to open the link and not just the app? (Btw no hate on firefox)

I log into my bank (in Australia) NAB almost every day. For about several weeks now when I successfully log in to the site it says "Service Temporarily Unavailable. Please try Later". However, if I use Chrome and log in (immediately after trying it wit Firefox) it logs in every time.

Can you please help me understand what might be stopping me from using Firefox on NAB website?

Some websites display the letters "fi" as "Y". This seems to be a problem in translating the ASCII code to English text. This doesn't happen on all websites but Wikipedia seems to be the main culprit.

Any suggestions how I can fix it?

Incidentally, this only happens on my MacBook; not on my desktop Mac. And both are using the latest version of Firefox.

I am trying to set up a container and add some sites that I want to browse using my Mozilla VPN subscription. I am following the directions below but it is not clearly written. I have the VPN app installed and updated. Then in step 2 it shows a dropdown window that I can not find... Please help...

It seems my firefox browser will not play my video pins anymore! Is there a setting or something? I cleared cache, cookies, my firefox is up to date, I disabled all of my extensions and still can't get my video pins to work. This has been going on for 6 months. Pinterest just tells me to use another browser, I would but I really like the firefox platform.

I've just downloaded the latest Firefox version and it won't load my Cornell email - adfs.ad.cornell.edu. I'm using a Macbook Pro. I can download the website on my iPhone.How do I get my email back?

this site monkey.app which is sort of like omegle does not work at all or load in but it works fine on other browser i really enjoy using firefox more so i was wondering if there is a workaround

Why on many sites do I need to enter the back request twice before it goes back to the previous page? I am using Mac OS 13.4. This happens on both my M1 Mac Mini and my 14" M1 Pro Mac Book Pro. Surfing the web has become time consuming with FireFox. I have no problem with Brave, Safari, Edge and Duck Duck Go browsers.

Hi, I have tested everthing in Firefox 114 to pin add ons in the toolbar. I do not get the possebility in the "puzzle" piece, nor in the Add-Ons-Section, nor somewhere else... There is no combinate "Add-On" and "Pin to..." Please help. I need the Add-On now.

Hi! I previously used Google Chrome, and would typically have multiple windows in fullscreen (different YouTube pages, for example). On Chrome, if I fullscreen multiple windows, and then escape the fullscreen for only one of them, the rest remain in fullscreen.

In Firefox, I enable the macOS fullscreen API, as I prefer my windows to enter the Mission Control space after fullscreening. When I then open multiple fullscreen windows, and escape only one of them, then ALL fullscreen windows also escape and return to normal size at the same time, whereas Chrome allows the rest of the windows to stay in fullscreen.

Is there any way around this such that it has the same behavior as Chrome? This is the only real issue that's holding me back from making the change to Firefox, so if there's any way to fix this, that'd be amazing! Thanks so much!

Hello. I'm a MAC user, I've been using Firefox on desktop + the app for years, but I don't understand why this happens.

When using other browsers I have to click somewhere to close all active sessions but Firefox just does it automatically for me, and it's... very annoying, only I use this computer so I don't need such thing. It's there a way to turn that off? Because I couldn't find it.

And to be clear, it doesn't close my sessions when I "close" the Firefox tab, it's when I exit the application as a whole.

And yes, when there IS an issue and Firefox closes itself, Firefox does open my old tabs again, which is great, but the logging out thing? not so much, since I use authentication apps too.

1) Firefox advertised free apps when you signed up for vpn. However, when I signed up for vpn, I didn't get any apps. Did I do something wrong? Why didn't I get the free apps? 2) I don't seem to be able to add the VPN two other computers. It seems to want to sell me (Again) the VPN. I don't want to buy it again, just add my existing VPN to other computers. 3) I have some Macs that run Parallel's. Do I need to add Firefox VPN do the Windows that is running on Mac. Or, does my Mac Firefox VPN somehow protect the windows without adding a separate VPN on windows?

Switching to a new Mac computer and trying to get the bookmarks back, especially the tool bar. I did the export and import steps. Both export to HTML and as a backup file. Next I airdrop it to the new computer and try and import it there. Seems to work (no errors), but no bookmarks. I have looked at google videos and tried searching you help area.

Chrome i just log in and it comes over, I remember losing everything in firefox last time I got a new computer and had to rebuild from scratch. I can't afford that again, please help.

I'm new to Firefox, usually in other browser, like Chrome and Edge, when I use the selector to choose element and click on it, it will bring back the console but it doesn't seems to happen in Firefox. ( I'm using separate window for the console )

I recently got set up to use Firefox instead of Chrome. I use a computer at work and at home. I have sync settings set up the way I want but it doesn't seem to work. For instance, when I deleted an add-on at work, I would expect that add-on to be gone from my browser at home, but that isn't the case. I also have changed settings to allow a pop-up from my company's internal website. But at home that change in the settings isn't reflected. Basically I have two versions of Firefox, one at home and one at work. Anytime I want them to match up I have to do it manually. The only exception is bookmarks, they seem to sync properly.

Since the update a few days ago, Firefox is crashing and some sites such as Trust Pilot, do not work at all on Firefox. I know it is Firefox because it works fine with Chrome. Even Google Search does not work right.

What is the problem?

I made a theme on Firefox Colour and the image that I put under the 'custom backgrounds' tab isn't appearing as the background. Instead it uses the Background Colour from the Custom Colours menu. How would I fix it, so that the image is displayed behind the tabs? (My settings are in the images below.)
