Why in this world firefox for android doesn't have speed dial and speed dials folders like literally rest of browsers ?!? why this is such a problem to do it ?!?!?

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this, but it’s regarding something you should know. When I first started working on a computer full time I choose Firefox as my browser. The reason being that I thought working on a computer shouldn’t be just entry work. I thought it should be somewhat fun as well.

Now I think my first version of Firefox was around ver. 15. With that one I could change the whole look of the browser to make it more fun, it offered many very useful add ons, and it was a very fast and reliable browser. Because of this when I had to choose an email client I chose Thunderbird, because it had many of the same fun options.

So I worked on a computer for 10 years and I think by that time Firefox was somewhere North of ver. 60. I think due to all of the improvements in speed and security I couldn’t dress it up like the earlier models, but you could change the banner at the top which was neat, and almost all of the add ons had been constantly updated my the developers so I never had to delete a single one. Plus things were continually being added to the browser itself, so all in all I was never dissatisfied with it and recommended it to anyone looking for a browser to use on their computer.

Unfortunately I no longer work or have a computer and I am forced to do everything on an iPad. Naturally my first choice for a browser was Firefox. Of course I can’t do the fun things with this mobile browser, which I accepted because it did pretty much everything else just as it should. Until it started going downhill. Now, your mobile browser is, in a word, awful. Here are just a few of the problems it now has:

1. Web pages. When I first started using it a web page would be there until I closed it. No matter how many pages were open. Now, even if I have only two or three pages open, I close Firefox down and launch it again, the tabs are there showing what pages were open, but no URLs, and thus no pages. Everything is blank. 2. Speed. Our wi-fi has speeds ranging from 100Mpbs to 300Mpbs for downloads. But lately, some of those very same pages, well, let’s just say I could go and get a cup of coffee and they’d still be loading. 3. Logins. This is the worst issue. I must have logged into at least two dozen sites in Firefox and you know how many logins it saved? Two. Totally unacceptable! I don’t have the time or patience to continually look up login info that Firefox should have saved. It doesn’t even ask if I want to save that info.

So, I have kept Firefox on my iPad, and I will check every once in a while to see if there have been any improvements. But, until then, Google has become my default browser. It’s rather sad when the people who make the basic engine for the TOR browser, the world’s most private browser, can’t make a mobile browser that works properly.

When I download a file, a notification pops up when the download is complete. I find this quite annoying, especially when downloading file in a bit of rapid succession.

Is there some way to turn this off on FF mobile?

I tried... about:config > browser.download.alwaysOpenPanel on the nightly build, but after having created the option, it doesn't seem to work.

I would be forever indebted to any suggestions y'all can provide.

I want to turn off full screen warning but every time I enter 'about : config' it serves the term and I get a page of articles related to the topic. How do I get to the advance preferences page?

Hi, is there a way to change the user agent on iOS? The FxiOS part makes the browser way more fingerprint-able than standard safari, even with all the anti-fingerprint settings to the max.

Hi there, Firefox on Android is unable to show a progress on files that is currently being downloaded. It does, show notification, and I can pause and cancel it from there, but the details are unknown, the progress bar doesn't tell how much bytes has been downloaded and when i press pause and resume, the state is horribly unknown, the progress becomes 0%, etc. What I want is that Downloads menu in three-dots menu must show this too, not only the files that has been downloaded.

In profile on Desktop, my phone doesn't even show up as one of my devices with Firefox browser, tho it's been on there for years. So long, I'd forgotten I'd chosen Focus. Is it so private even Firefox doesn't know about it?

Does syncing require that I ALSO download Firefox ADHD in order to sync with my desktop?

Been two years or more since this was aked it seems.... How to get bookmarks to save and display (and bookmarks bar to show) in Android version (i.e. had there been updates such to make it work)?

I noticed that on Brave or any chromium based browser (Android), I would be able to just simple highlight part of an URL and then the whole url would be automatically selected. This behaviour is not possible on Firefox (Android) and I would have to manually select the whole URL myself. Please see here for a clearer picture: demonstration Is there a setting that I can possibly turn on to have the same function as in Brave or chromium browsers?

Sometimes I want to close tabs to free up memory but I don't want to close the tab I'm currently using so I have to close all other tabs manually which is tedious.

Perhaps tapping and holding could bring up a menu that says "Close all other tabs" and/or "Close tabs before/after" like on desktop.

Hello Please add option in credit card section to add year of card manually. Because in some countries as iran, cards data is shamsi calendar. For example card expire in 1405 year.

firefox for android beta version 114.0b7 I have chosen never open link in app in settings. But when I open some pages, firefox still pop up to let me choose, even in private browsing. It seems that the website use another way and try to open apps once the web page is opened. Though Firefox prevent it from opening app automatically. But the popup is really annoying. If user choose "never", It should no longer be opened in the app in any case. I notice that edge and duckduckgo can block it completely. Is it possible for firefox by using extensions or about:config? Thanks！

This recent update in how PDFs are handled is really poor. The responses to the effects of the update seem really arrogant.

No, your PDF viewer is not better than Adobe reader. Even if it was, I want the choice to download directly to my preferred app, even if you think it sucks. I thought Mozilla was all about choice? That's why I thought I donated monthly. I want control over the software I use. It's been a pattern with Mozilla, for example, removing about:config for people who don't want dev builds.

Just like desktop Firefox, I want to choose how to handle files and choose how my software works:

It's seems odd that I'm even explaining this. Please revert this change, it's bad for so many reasons. Please also consider why the culture at Mozilla is giving users less control, not more.

Why does Firefox automatically save tabs? It is annoying to have to delete them every day... I want the option to NEVER save the tab and close them all when exiting

Hi It seems the latest ff update for iOS now shows a dialogue (not sure what the correct name is) every time I close a tab. The dialogue is “Tab Closed Undo”. It appears for a few seconds and then disappears. Much in the same fashion as every time take a photo on my iPhone there is a thumbnail of the pic I just took.

I absolutely hate these things. I either have to wait until they go away on their own or I have to waste time swiping them away. I know Mozilla is only responsible for the Tab Closed Undo dialogue.

Is there someway I can disable this new “feature”?
