Windows 10 updated. When I started Thunderbird I get the following two messages. I clicked on message 1 and then message 2 pops up. I uninstalled Thunderbird and re-installed. Same messages.

Yesterday, Amazon disappeared from the Firefox search drop down menu and it had disappeared as an option from the list of possible search tools. Later on in the day, it reappeared. This morning it had disappeared. Amazon is still there, but Firefox seems disinclined to admit that. How can Firefox make Amazon stick?

I was deleting large quantities of e-mails to free up space. I'd highlighted over 600. Thunderbird asked if I was sure I wanted to select them all, I said yes. I'd intended to then hit delete.

Unfortunately, Thunderbird decided to try to open all the e-mails, in separate tabs. Of course, it can't.

Big problem is I can't stop it from trying. I have let it crash and selected "re-open", let it crash and selected "quit", tried to x-out the e-mail tabs while it is working (it won't let me), I have x'd out of Thunderbird myself, and restarted my PC.

And, still, when I try to start Thunderbird, it opens and immediately starts trying to open all those tabs again.

Please tell me how to make it stop! I made one bad click ...

Videos (with the exception of those on YouTube) have no sound, and in some cases such as Amazon or Plex, fail to play at all. Amazon directs me to plugins, and to select 'Always Activate' on Widevine Content Decryption, and to update plugins. This was already the case and had no effect. Plex, in some cases, simply gives the error: 's4032 (Manifest)', though this could be a different issue. Other videos on Plex have the same problem of no sound. This problem doesn't occur on other browsers like Chrome or Edge.

On my S24 when I use Firefox the screen starts flickering and it's impossible to navigate. Only fix is to restart the phone. Online there are lot of users of the S24 series that complaints about this issue. Can you please provide a fix? Or I will have to find an alternative for Firefox

I am using Firefox 122.0.1, Windows 11 with all latest updates. Recently my HP Laptop has been slow to respond. I rebooted and opened task manager. I started Firefox and it was using about 1500 MB of memory. I closed some tabs to try to recover some memory. However, Firefox kept taking more, more and more. After 15 minutes, it was at 10,000 MB and climbing, and my system was using 99% of memory. I don't believe Firefox did this in the past and this is clearly not working properly. Any ideas?

I have 6 email accounts and only 1 is a live.com email. That is the only account that keeps popping up a password error when I open Thunderbird. All settings are same same, full username with @live.com, SSL/TLS,norm pass and so on. Some days no issue grabbing emails ( no password prob ) then starts having issues, and I never changed anything. Any recommendations to resolve?

We have 5 devices and have always been able to log in to any or all of them. Now, we can only log in from our laptop. I have entered the login data manually and with Norton 365. The only device we can get logged in on is the laptop. All of the devices are running the latest version of Firefox. I have cleared the cache re-booted all of them with no change.

I posted a question on the Firefox support page, and a support volunteer responded but his posting was not helpful and so I tried to post a reply. However, I tried several times over a period of many hours, and was not successful because I kept getting a message that said "Oh, no! It looks like an unexpected error occurred. We've already notified the site administrators. Please try again now, or in a few minutes." Some of the times that this occurred were at approximately 3:30 AM, 10:35 AM, 11:01 AM and 11:10 AM (Central Standard Time). I also tried using a different browser and still got the same message.

  What can be done to correct this problem?

Hi SInce upgrading my Thunderbird to the latest version, I cannot show the full body of search results which are in the local folders. When I select a specific email on a date shown tries to display the body but the screen is completely empty. If I browse the same local folders I can view bodies perfectly. The workaround I am using is to note the date of the emails I've found from the search and then find them individually by browsing the folder contents.

i troubleshooted everything , I did a refresh , things got worse Amazon just isnt loading Other quirks after the refresh like opening a window instead of a tab ( yes my settings show tab) It causes other websites to run slow i turned off my ghostery , ran in trouble shoot mode, amazon works fine in chrome ( which i downloaded just to check , please don't make me go to chrome )

I'm still using windows professional 7, it works for the most part. Unfortunately often the browser won't load or it will load and runs very slowly, then it shows a box saying close previous firefox. When it is running slowly I often have to hit the browser many times until the box shows up saying close previous firefox. Is this something to do with windows 7 or another completely different issue.

I am a huge Tbird fan, using it forever, donating to it, recommending it to others BUT... GEEZ, ever since this new total rebuild, it's become so inconsistent and unstable as to be almost unusable.

In fact, now I can't use it at all because a single keystroke causes it to crash. Even the crash reporter crashes! I am on the latest version 115.7.0 I have gone into troubleshooting mode, disabling all add-ons

Nothing helps. The problems began with the mouse double-clicking with a single click. Fixed that with removing and reinstalling mouse device driver.

Now, as mentioned, when I reply, place a cursor and type a single keystroke, Tbird crashes. As mentioned it pops up a crash reporter. I can't type in that...as soon as I try, it crashes! (Yes, the crash reporter crashes!)

Sadly, I am really dependent on Thunderbird. Is there anyway I can go back to a stable version before this giant rebuild was created. Seems the problems all began then.

115.4.1 is terribly slow. When stuff is going on in background like downloading or filtering, I cannot use the interface to select messages or folders. It is very annoying. I can only imagine that when I archive 1000 or more messages every 6 months, that the system is going to choke.

Last night, when I got home from work, my Firefox browser wouldn't let me make any Google searches or log into my Google account. It just keeps coming up with the end of file error. I've refreshed Firefox, created a new profile, turned off Proxy, uninstalled NordVPN, and even tried to uninstall/reinstall Firefox. After refreshing, I can sometimes search with Google for a little bit until I try to log into my Google account or navigate to Gmail while not logged in. It also won't let me access Yahoo.com, it seems. It will do random websites, though. For example, I entered the url for a video game forum I've browsed in the past and it loads that okay. Any suggestions? Do I have a virus or something? I honestly can't figure this out.

I can receive emails but unable to send them.

(This has happened more than once!) When Windows did a 'forced' software upgrade on my desktop PC, 3 days ago, my g-mail/email link will not load, therefore I am unable to access my emails. If I close Firefox and open the Chrome browser, I get access to my g-mail. I have tried clearing cache and cookies but my g-mail still will not open using Firefox. Do I have to ditch my Firefox and start using Chrome as my default browser just so I can get my email? Do you have any suggestions? FYI, I am not a 'computer tech'. I am retired. Hopefully your suggestion/recommendation will not be too complex for the typical/basic PC user.

"Verification of this link failed due to an error" when selecting a hyperlink. I then select "Skip verification" and the link is made.

This happens on all hyperlinks. Has been happening for at least 6 months.

How can I fix or prevent this message? Thank you.
