Looking for a bookmark editor that has a search and replace function. Or, is it possible to export bookmarks to a text file to edit, then import text file back to Firefox?

Every time I try to import either json file or html file firefox crashes. I tried a refresh and same thing. This file is coming from another computer. I have tried synching but that fails too even though I am logged into same account. I get no error on synchs, it just does nothing.

When using private browsing window, bookmarks toolbar keeps disappearing every time I open a new tab or anything else. My setting for show bookmarks is "always show" and it works normally in a regular window. It also used to work normally in private browsing until a few days ago. Clicking "show bookmarks toolbar" works until I open any of the bookmarks, then the toolbar disappears again. How do I make the toolbar permanently visible in a private browsing window?

I'm trying Firefox again after many years in the Edgy wilderness. In Firefox in Windows, you used to be able to specify where your bookmarks were located. I store all my files (documents, spreadsheets, etc) in a complex structure on my C drive and, ideally, I should be able to store my Firefox bookmarks in the same structure. It just doesn't make sense to store the bookmarks in a separate location. I'm pretty sure you used to be able to do this by specifying the root of the bookmarks structure as c:/Documents, but I can't see how to do it in the current version.

Since the last update of Firefox, I now have to right-click and select "alway Show" the Bookmarks Toolbar. Then it disappears when I go to a site!!! Please tell me this is a glitch and you'll fix it soon because the toolbar always shiowes uder the search bar and this right-click-select is really anoying. For years, I have had the Bookmark Toolbar always show on my initial page and all tabs at the top of page. Something happened and now it does not. I have tried resetting per instructions and it will show on my current page but then not show up my new tab and will disappear from the initial page. I tried a refresh to correct and that did not work either. I was able to get them to show on the left side of the screen but I much prefer them at the top and want to get back to that layout.

I received a virus message alert that popped up on my screen. I then hit control alt delete and shut down Firefox, when I reopening it, my bookmarks were gone and not even able to add new bookmarks. An error message stating something like, another program is using the file keeps appearing. I'm able to log into a different computer and my bookmarks are there.

For years had bookmarks in folders showing on Bookmark Toolbar. Today they are all gone. Still in my Bookmarks on the drop down Menu, but not appearing on the Toolbar. Please help. Can't seem to drop and drag them there. Also, the Bookmarks Toolbar keeps disappearing every time I go to look at a new tab.

I know how to set the Bookmarks Toolbar to Always show/Only show on new tab/Never show. I always want the Bookmarks Toolbar, and until recently the "Always Show" setting worked. But it doesn't any more. (Firefox 123.0 64 bit)

I signed into my Firefox account on my android device expecting to be able to access the bookmarks in my bookmarks bar. I cannot find those bookmarks in the android app. All I see are Desktop bookmarks Anyone know how to access bookmarks in bookmark bar?

I'm just wondering why I can no longer change book mark size on FF. Even more strange I can't find anyone on the internet who has anything to say about it. Their are some fixes but they are like from three to five years ago. And it's not for the current version of FF. What is going on? Why can I no longer change the book mark size? I have a desktop.

A couple of weeks ago I migrated from Edge to Firefox. I exported and imported my bookmarks. All was good. Suddenly this morning, my bookmarks are inoperative. The folder structure is there, containing entries that appear to be my bookmarks. If I left-click on one, nothing happens. If I right-click on one and choose Edit Bookmark, the fields in the dialogue are all empty.

Hi, I just downloaded a Firefox browser, but on the left of bookmarks toolbar there is an "Import bookmarks" that I can't get rid of. I've seen a couple other things that say it's like removing a bookmark, but that doesn't work for me. I've looked and can't find how to remove it. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I have synced my android tablet to my linux pc, but when i try to open the desktop bookmarks folder, I get a message saying I can't edit default folders. I know it's synced, because when I search bookmarks for a bookmark that I know to be on my pc, it comes up. The problem is that the folder will not open.

I have tried reinstalling. I don't know what else to try.

Hello, after I installed Firefox ESR, all my bookmarks disappeared. Is there any chance to get them back, as well as my browser extensions? I would like to go back to the state before the installation of ESR.

Good Afternoon, I was looking at some images on Wednesday 28th Feb on Pinterest which I booked marked but when I tried to find them the following day they weren't there. I checked history and Library and restore. And the 27th and 28th Feb are missing. So I am thinking do I have two Firefox accounts and that's the reason the dates are missing ?. Is their anyway to find the two days I was browsing ?.

Hello. I have 2 Other Bookmarks Folders. One near the top under the Bookmarks Toolbar & one at the bottom. They seem to have the same folders & bookmarks. I'd like to delete one, but I'm apprehensive about that because I think I would end up deleting both of them.
