I need to exempt a site from the pop up blocker process. When I go to Privacy & Settings/Manage Exceptions, there is no text box or other way for me to enter the site. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to change some other setting to allow exceptions?

archive.mozilla.org VS ftp.mozilla.org

A while back i asked how to avoid the unique identifier / download token that every firefox installation now has when downloading from https://www.mozilla.org/eu/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release As a response you told me to use either of these: What's the difference between archive.mozilla.org and ftp.mozilla.org?

Both sites look exactly the same from what i can tell. Also you warned me that downloading from these sites can be insecure because the sites might be vulnerable to "hackers" or might have been "infiltrated" by third partys. What's better getting a unique identifier or downloading from the archive and accepting potential risk? None of this would be necessary if mozilla didn't push a unique identifier.

When downloading from the archive the sha512 and sha256 always match the installer, doesn't mean anything if the site itself has been compromised i guess? Then again why would it be compromised? Seriously? I could download the fire installer from the official site and from the archive and compare if both sha512 and sha256 match each other, if so i guess no compromise and no token, right?

Network Solutions upgraded their email, and I multiply-checked all my settings in Thunderbird (102.3.2) and can retrieve mail but the outgoing mail hangs and time out with an error. I just discovered it's not my settings, but there's no password listed for the default outgoing SMTP server (my own domain). (I have 2 email accounts, and listed in the "Saved Passwords" are 2 passwords for incoming IMAP plus one the other account outgoing SMTP, 3 total.)

Is there any way to add a password without deleting the default server and then adding it back in, or some other solution?

Thanks

I recently deleted some email from my Yahoo.mail account and asked for it to be restored by Yahoo yesterday. Today the time stamp on all of my incoming mail is wrong. I contacted Yahoo and they said that I needed to enable my location to Yahoo from within Firefox. Yahoo is not listed as requesting permission so I am not able to enable the location for them. I switched to Chrome and the time stamp in Yahoo was correct. I exited Firefox and tried reloading yahoo.mail, but it did not fix the time stamp problem. They suggested I contact Firefox. How can I fix this?

I install the latest firefox version and discovered that firefox connected to tracking-protection.cdn.mozilla.net This adress (server) appears to be owned by Google LLC [United States of America] AS396982

See images attached below, or try for yourself https://dnschecker.org/all-dns-records-of-domain.php

I asume Mozilla rent's those servers from Google or just has a contract with Google to allow them and use their servers? Anyways i see this as a big issue, who can guarantee that Google doesn't see the traffic of these servers???

I notice firefox will sighn off on its own after I sighn in. Also notice site "Privacy Protection" button is off. I slide this button on, only to notice later that again this is off? HTTPSEVERYWHERE also has a slider button I continue to turn on , yet it turns itself off. Can you let us understand the "reasoning" for this?

I find myself locked out of my Office365 account on Thunderbird, despite putting in the correct password. I also have a gmail account, and I can send and receive as normal from that account.

At present I am having to manage my Office365 emails in Outlook, which is less user-friendly than Thunderbird. Any advice on how to persuade Thunderbird that I am genuine?

I just downloaded the latest firefox installer and ran it, after the installation was completed i was asked by my firewall programm if setup.exe should be allowed or denied network acess. I found it's located here: C:\users\user\appdata\local\temp\7zsc6e8770c\setup.exe Now what is this and what does it do? What happens if i grant it network access, what data does it send to Mozilla and why?

I want to use this opportunity to also ask about defaultuseragent.exe, why does it even exist? What data does it send to mozilla, what does it do exactly?

I'm hoping you can assist me with the following issue. Unable to access NCAA Football or CBS Sports websites even when the website is bookmarked and/or listed as an exception in my Firefox settings (CBS Sports). Please explain why the exception list and bookmarking websites no longer allows me to access these sites. This is a recent issue.

This issue has become a nuisance and unfortunately as much as I trust Firefox (I actually donate monthly) I may have to start using a different web browser such as Microsoft Edge if this issue cannot be resolved.

Thank you in advance for you help.

Sincerely, Mary

I have recently tried to set up my thunderbird account on a new laptop. At first it worked and recognized the account and password, but now it's saying the password is incorrect? and I cannot log into my account at all.

I checked the saved passwords through my old laptop and it's definitely the correct password so I don't understand why it doesn't work. I then decided to see if changing the password through the old laptop would reset everything, but now none of my laptops are recogonizing the password, and I now can't access my work emails through either laptop!

Can someone please help me with this? Why won't it recogonize the password that i've just set up for the account?

Thanks Heather

What are the correct settings for email accounts in Thunderbird? On my new computer my accounts were setup in imap with SSL - but then changed to TLS, but I continually get this message " Non-overridable TLS error occurred. Handshake error or probably the TLS version or certificate used by server imap.actrix.co.nz is incompatible." I have a Dell Vostro 5620 laptop with Windows 11Pro. For my email accounts which settings should be correct for incoming and outgoing? Thanks - Graeme
