Firefox reloading the tab issue

To reproduce the issue:

1. Open Firefox on Android Device.
2. Open any web-page on a new tab.
3. Open another Tab and switch to it.
4. Switch back to the first tab you opened in Step 2.

The web-page opened in Step 2 gets reloaded. Also

1. Open Firefox on Android Device.
2. Open any web-page on a new tab.
3. Switch to any other App (two seconds is enough)
4. Switch back to Firefox.

The web-page which opened in Step 2 gets reloaded.

Desktop Site Issue On turning-on the 'Desktop site' on a particular Tab and switching to other Tabs or to another App, coming back to the original Tab reloads the page as I mentioned above and turns-off the 'Desktop site' i.e. the Mobile site is shown while the Firefox Options Menu shows the 'Desktop site' still turned-on (via toggle button).

Use-case Logging into my bank website via Firefox, I enter my details and wait for One-Time-Password to arrive as SMS or Email. I now switch from Firefox to the SMS App or Email App to read that One-Time-Password. I switch back to the website on Firefox to enter that One-Time-Password. Now, as soon as I switch back to Firefox, instead of retaining the web-page, it reloads it.

I have to once again go through the procedure of entering my details and switching the app to read the One-Time-Password and then coming back to Firefox to see the web-page is reloading again and this continues on loop because Firefox is unable to retain its web-pages and reloads them as soon as one switches to another Tab or another App.

I have Samsung Galaxy S8 with 1.1GB RAM available all the time and all Battery Optimisations such as not allowing to run Firefox in the background or putting it to sleep is Off.

Firefox defaults to English (US) as input language with Swedish available to switch to.

I live in Sweden but i prefer to keep my phone in english, but my selected input language is Swedish qwerty, that works for everything except for firefox, even though the only input language in both the phone and in the browser is Swedish qwerty it still defaults to English (US).

Minor inconvenience but its getting quite frustrating, appreciate any help!

I have a question regarding auto-update.The firefox-version I like to use is 68.x. Since my latest Lineage ROM update to android 11 that version keeps auto-updating to the latest firefox after which I have to uninstall and install the apk again.

How do I prevent this from happening? Things I tried: - disabled auto-updates in google play - changed app.update.channel in about:config to a non existing value - disabled every callback possible in about:config

Note: I understand the risks of using an older version. I'm using my phone to browse 5 larger sites that I trust every day and accept the risks involved by not updating.

One reason I have always used Firefox on my phone is that I HATE tabs staying open. It worked great for me to swipe away Firefox, and opening it again I could click my Shopping List, my Canvas for school, my image backup...everything I wanted. Now I can't and it's really frustrating.

Can Firefox PLEASE make all tabs close every time you close or swipe away from Firefox? I do NOT want to use the stupid Quit button every time.

There have been so many complaints and one star reviews about version 79, would it really be so hard to reintroduce version 68 back onto the play store under a new name like "Firefox legacy" or "Firefox classic", so we could run that side by side with 79 until the dismal failure that is version 79 has at least been fixed to the extent that people can decide it's worth changing over, i.e., when the things that are most important to them have been fixed? For me that is a customisable home page because I've set up my own site to be my home page on all browsers on all platforms because (so I thought) nobody would be stupid enough to release a browser that doesn't allow that to be customised, and more access to important addons like adblock plus and the home page button, and, of course, a back button.

You could add a big disclaimer that there would be no security or other updates in the description.

When I use the firefox app on my phone, and go to the website pixiv to download images, it would say failed download, then when i cancel the download it says null downloaded fail. I have tried uninstall and reinstalling firefox app, I have try to downloading the image again. This problem only occurs on firefox app, when i use chrome app its all right. This issue only occurred this week

How can I access about:config on Firefox Android? I've updated it to latest version (17 August 2020) but every time I try to open about:config in address bar, it can't complete request.

I also need to configure DNS over HTTPS on Firefox Android. How to do this?

Looking through https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Forms/Form_validation Firefox supports native HTML5 form validation.

In Windows 10 desktop Firefox, trying to submit the form under https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Forms/Form_validation#the_required_attribute without entering anything in the input field would show the message "Please fill out this field" as expected.

But testing on Android Firefox mobile 85.1.2 it does not show the error message. Is this a bug? Or known issue or just not a feature for Android Firefox?

However, testing on iPhone Firefox, it does show the error message.
