Hi

I have installed Thunderbird on a new computer, and successfully set up my email accounts on the new PC by using the Add Mail Account feature in Settings. This has successfully given me access to my In Boxes, Sent items etc. But has not included my Local Folders. I have tried to move these by copying the Local Folders from the old to the new PC and pasting the files into the Mail Folder under the new profile. However when I open Thunderbird there is nothing showing in the Local Folders. Can anyone help? Thank you

I [stupidly] installed an optional update KB5017383 overnight and when clicked on Thunderbird in the morning I had 'lost' all my account. I know they're still there but can't get to them.

I tried to import from the Profiles directory on the affected machine which resulted in an error. I updated Thunderbird to the latest release (102.3.2) with the same result.

All my emails were imported from an older computer (Windows 10; Thunderbird 91.10.0 32 bit; last email - June 26, 2022) which I still have (and can access). It is NOT connected to the internet at this point. I copied the profiles directory from that machine to a USB drive. When I tried the Import - same issue. I uninstalled the KB5017383 update but I still get the same error.

I can't use the zip file option due to the size of accounts/messages. Since the older profile accounts/messages from the Windows 10 PC (and still works), I suspect there is something wrong with the Import function or conflict with a Windows 11 update or a McAfee update.

How do I rectify the import function? I've used the import capability without issue.

How can I do a new install on a new computer so it will be exact same as my old computer. I don't want to have to try and get the same interface one setting at a time. Can I just copy the existing profile on my original computer to the new computers so everything is the same?

I just downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird. The pop-up appears every time I start Thunderbird. The new version of Thunderbird HAS LOST ALL, ALL, ALL OF MY FOLDERS!!!!! As the subject. For two weeks or more, we have had trouble downloading PDF files instead of opening them. My environment opens a lot of documents in FF every day. The "Ask to download or open files" option is enabled, the pdf files in the list are set to always open in FF. We are not making any changes to the settings. We have over 100 stations with almost the default firefox settings and one day something just changed. Restoring the opening of pdf files in FF is important to us, because downloading them slows down our work.

I can't setup my email account on a new machine. I have Windows 11 pro

I tried a few times uninstalling Thunderbird and reinstalling. Deleting the Profile in between and restarting. It still gets stuck during set up on checking password.

If i try manual setup and Re-test, i get the message "incoming server already exists" HELP

Firefox 105 update corrupts places.sqlite

Auto-updated to v105 today (105.0.2 64-bit Windows 10) and all bookmarks were gone. Not just gone but the bookmark manager seems not to be rendering properly (see attached image where there should be at least some elements drawn). Additionally, neither the bookmarks nor history left pane show anything (second attachment).

The 105 update was applied this morning when first opening the browser. Profile folder -> bookmarkbackups shows a backup from just before the update. Bookmark library -> Restore gives that backup as an option, but restoring that backup has no effect (does nothing).

Exiting Firefox and manually moving places.sqlite to a backup location and then restarting also has no effect. places.sqlite is rebuilt but library -> restore still has no effect.

'They were supposed to transfer everything over and after considerable number of interactions i now have 1 of my 5 emails working . I can send and receive emails on email #1. I can receive emails on email#2,3,4,5 the problem is I can only send messages on email #1 When I go to accounts. - edit smtp server all the 5 user names default to the same user name ( last line) . Which ever user name I put in is the email that I can send emails out. for ex. if the user name is email1@xxx.com I can only send emails out on email 1. if the user name is email3@xxx.com I can only send emails out on email 3 . On the SMTP server edit page ----- Description : office 365 Server name: outlook.office365.com Port: 587 Connection security: STARTTLS AUTHENTICATION: normal password User name: email1@xxx.com I s there a way to separate the user names of the 5 emails

First, my current equipment New Win10/11 PC runing an Intel i5 CPU. Thunderbird v68.12.1 (32-bit) installed and working, able to receive and send mail.

Situation:-

My original WinXP "C" drive has been copied to a new WD 2GB HD and installed as an "F" drive in my new PC.

My problem:-

I would like to import all the files, folders and emails from my "F" drive into my current installation (v.68.12.1) of Thunderbird. However, I have run into two additional problems.

1) I cannot find any Thunderbird files or folders on my "F" drive, they're probably saved under another name or hidden. 2) The "Import Tool" facility. on my current copy of Thunderbird, does not have any features that will allow anything other than an automatic search or no search at all.

As you can see from "Import Screen 01", I am given a limited number of choices - I leave it as "Import Everything"". But then I get to "Import Screen 02", which says "No application to Import data from found", and here I find myself stuck.

Please let me know if there is a solution to my problem or if my situation requires further clarification, simply because I'd thought I had taken the necessary precautions to avoid the situation I know find myself in. Therefore, any advice or suggestions given will be gratefully recieved.

Hello, Looks like my Thunderbird update Saturday Oct 7th, Version 102.3.2 Build ID 20221005130639 and since then I can send outbound messages but no new inbound ones are being retrieved from my NSI mail server. I can login through NSI and read new ones so the issue seems to be in Thunderbird. Any way to delete the update and restore to previous pre 10/7/22 version or fix this issue? Have 6 different email accounts that download into different computers, all not working since the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
