Hey,

I'm looking for a shortcut/hotkey to focus the page.

The best I found is "Move to Next Frame", which is F6. When having the URL bar as focus, and no bookmark bar open, this will focus the page.

I have two questions here: - Is there a better way to focus the page? - If not, how can I remap F6 to a more usable hotkey?

I have found some threads with workaround like tabbing 2-3 times until the page is in focus. I'm looking for a single shortcut, having to press a key multiple times kinda defeats the purpose of a shortcut.

I have found information on how to remap hotkeys with either extensions or autoconfig, but I can't find which key I have to change. Extensions don't seem to include this key.

For autoconfig, I looked through view-source:chrome://browser/content/browser.xhtml and the Browser Toolbox to find this shortcut, but with no success. Maybe I looked at the wrong spot, maybe not all shortcuts are listed there?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would like to be able to highlight texts in one container and search for them in another container (or no container) from the right click menu. Is there a way to add this functionality?

Some additional points: i) Currently, if I highlight a text and right click and search Google for it, the new tab opens in the same container (or no container). I don't want to remove this option, I just want to add the option to be able to do this search in any container I have available. ii) Functionality I want is very similar to how it works when you highlight links, where you have option to open in new tab or open in new container tab you choose. iii) I don't want to assign all my searches to a specific container by forcing "always open [domain] in [container]". For example, I already have a Google container, I do not want searches to go to that container by default, I want to be able to choose where they go. Assigning all Google links to a container makes it hard for me to segregate searches from containers where I use other Google services. iv) The way I do this currently is by highlighting text and then opening a new tab in a container and then searching separately, which is inconvenient. v) If this feature doesn't exist, is it possible to request this feature? How would one go about doing that?

the read status of a conversation thread does not translate through the top level message, this makes int hard to find unread messages when the conversation thread is folded in.

Almost every Firefox update for the last year has deleted my container tabs.

More recently, while reconstructing my containers for several Google accounts, I pin them as I create each tab. Next time I restart Firefox the pinned containers are there but blank when opened and new unpinned tabs appear for the same containers.

I've been using a third party window manager on iOS and have shortcuts assigned to resize and reposition windows. Recently I've noticed that the behavior for Firefox is significantly different and my initial guess is that something in Firefox is intercepting my shortcuts and resizing my windows instead allowing my window manager to handle it. For reference, the shortcuts I have for my third party window manager are listed below and result in different behavior when focused on Firefox compared to other applications:

• Position window left: `Cmd + Ctrl + H`
• Position window right: `Cmd + Ctrl + L`
• Position window center: `Cmd + Ctrl + M`

Is there a way to disable this?

I'm noticing some inconsistent (and irritating) behavior when tapping the urlbar in Firefox for Android. I have noticed 3 distinct options, either it will highlight the entire url as expected, will only highlight the tail end of the url (after the initial /), or it will not highlight anything.

Is there a setting to configure this behavior?

This concerns the "about:config" setting, namely "browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground", which was available for configuration in earlier versions of Firefox Mobile for Android.

Export is a mouse driven exercise and I now know I must export the calendar separately.

How can I script or batch thunderbird export of mail and calendar in a unix shell.

So i make page smaller at 60% size, and when i scroll it move on the same amount of space as its on 100% size, basically decrease scroll speed. Is there a way to make it not happen and make scroll speed the same at any page size.

On my mac I have the f14 key mapped to start a screen saver, but whenever I'm using firefox it appears to take control of the f14 key and prevents the use of my screen saver shortcut. Whenever I select another program that isn't firefox, my shortcut immediately works again, so I know firefox is the problem. Is there anyway to prevent firefox from using the f14 key?

I blamed on Facebook last release when it started to interrupt comments and edits, either attempting to reload the page, or simply hitting "back" one or 2 pages, even when I am thinking and do not touch the keyboard. Then I discovered the same feature while edited a post in X. Different sites, the same behavior. So, I removed all Firefox related controls from the touch bar, and the problem disappeared. I am not sure, was it the result of upgrade to MacOS 14.3, or upgrade of Firefox to 122, or is something wrong with Macbook Pro hardware?

I would like to know how to customize "autoconfig.js" or "firefox.cfg" so that the home page is focused instead of the address bar when I open Firefox.

I the linked question, the following solutions works fine for focus content on New Tab:

It works fine, but I can't make it work for the Homage page when it's configured to open a local file.

I tried to bind the "window.gBrowser.selectedBrowser.focus();" action on the "browser-open-homepage-start" event but it has not effect.

How do I stop the following message from popping up?:

Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading

In Find and install Add-ons on Firefox for Android, the author described the method to update addons: update Firefox and the addons will be auto-updated. That, however, didn't take place when I update. The addons haven't ever been updated since the first installation! And I believe my network is always stable. Could you please tell me how to update my addons manually? Uninstalling them and then reinstalling surely solve the issue, but bother and cause the loss of my settings.
