The URL bar will stop working about once an hour, it still makes the touch animation but I can't type in an address or open new tab unless i long press and click new tab that way, the ellipsis menu will open but only add-on buttons work everything else doesn't do anything besides the animation, it has crashed after doing this multiple times but not anymore, currently in nightly 2011130 17:01. The webpage seems to work just fine and even the readerview toggle works.

It seems to happen randomly but every time today it happened when i clicked on the search widget, I don't know how to reproduce it other than make searches using the widget for a couple hours. It makes the browser pretty annoying to use. To fix it i have to open a new tab or open a add-on or start a new search with the widget or remove app from memory i think.

This wonderful browser has been preventing WIN 10 PC to go to standy or shut down manually or automatically, regardless of: add ons, active websites, all other apps closed, offline, WIN update off, Bitdefender off etc. Only closing Firefox in taskmanager allows the PC to be shut down! Firefox 83/64bit Dec 2020.

Hi every one , sometime ago i was not receiving mail any longer , I did something(can't remember what) and managed to create a second identical account(!) and started receiving mail again . But now even the second one has stopped receiving mail on my computer. Also a friend has mentioned that recently his mails to me were rejected on account of being blacklisted!

I have an Ipad, and the mail comes through without problems.

by using vesion Firefox 83.0 on this device Laptop Lenovo V510-15IKB // Windows 10 Pro

We cleared the cache, restarted the machine and Zoho CRM customer service ran all the tests on their side and told me I should contact you.

It works on other devices.

Can you advise how to resolve?

Здравствуйте. Пожалуйста помогите. Нахожусь на Украине. Пользуюсь браузером более 10 лет. До вчерашнего дня всё было хорошо. После того как раз в месяц запрашивает подтверждение входа через логин и пароль не могу войти в аккаунт сайта OLX. С другими аккаунтами проблем нет. Только OLX. При введении электронной почты и пароля для входа после нажатия кнопки ,,Войти" появляется надпись - ,,Не удалось подтвердить пользователя" - скриншот 1. Через несколько минут меняется окно - скриншот 2. Уже неоднократно испробовал все способы - вводил пароль вручную, удалял историю кэш и куки, перезапускал браузер и компьютер, делал сброс пароля и другое. Хотя в смартфоне и других браузерах на компьютере входит без проблем. Подскажите пожалуйста в чём проблема. С ув. asdf47.

Firefox is my default browser on my desktop Windows 10. Until a few days ago all was great. But now when I turn my computer on and Firefox opens, things go very slowly. Opening a new window (tab) can take up to a minute. If I get 3/4 windows open, moving from one to another can take ages. Eventually, after about five minutes, everything is as it should be, and I can do everything at the usual great speed. But if I am away from the computer for an hour or so and then return to it, everything is ridiculously slow again. After about five minutes, it's flying again! Once it gets going again, things are so good and fast I can't believe there is a major problem. I have done a Refresh of Firefox, but no joy. I have turned the computer on/off/on at the mains, but no joy. I don't want to do an Uninstall/Install unless really necessary. I have 8GB of Ram, and loads of space on the C drive. But I am NOT tech savvy at all. When I go to Task Manager, it can show up to a dozen processes for Firefox. Is that normal? If I have only Firefox open, Memory shows at 50%. Is that normal? I would be grateful for any ideas. But I repeat, I am tech useless, so I need everything spelled out in the most basic English. I look forward to hearing from somebody! Thanks.

Let me explain our situation.

We have the following setup, we use RES in Citrix and on the Citrix servers is Firefox ESR installed; version 82.03 Now after months of use, our Citrix servers are filling up. After investigation, it turned out that the RES FireFox Application cache file was more than 1GB for some users. They had several, some over 100 profile (default-release) folders. Each with approximately 20MB of data. How can we solve this? Throwing away the RES cache file is an idea, but that also removes all settings, favorites and the like. Not the nicest solution.

Please help!

Only very recently (last 1-2 weeks?) I've noticed that Google Maps refuses to open the full version in Firefox. I have FF 83.0 in Ubuntu 20.04.1.

You can (try to) force the full version to load with this URL: https://www.google.com/maps?force=webgl

But if I go to that address, a known message pops up at the bottom: "We’re sorry, only the lite mode of the new Google Maps is available at this time."

Same happens in a private window.

If I open it in Chrome browser in Linux, it loads fine.


I suspect this is a Google issue or choice to limit the functionality, but just want to check if other Linux Firefox users are seeing this??

If not, any suggestions for something to try? Like I said, it only became a thing very recently.

hallo like the tile say "after update to version 78.5.0 (32-Bit) nearly all my contacts are deleted." please help me, how do I get them back, a step back before update is not more possible saw it to late. there was to much updates last week.

also funny is that there is a list with no named folder in the adressbook list you see left on the screenshot.

my last saving of the adressbook is also to old, forgot to save them last year :(

I have been using Thunderbird for many years (a decade). Just recently, I have contacts that tell me that when I forward an email to them, they can see my reply, but they cannot see the previous quotes (previous exchanges) in the thread. I never had such problem in the past. Has something changed regarding the way Thunderbird encodes messages? If I remove completely the formatting of the email (only simple text remaining), then the problem dissapears. But this is not an adequate solution. Thanks

I'm running into multiple problems with Thunderbird (version 78.5.0, on Windows 10); here's the description:

For several years now, I've had three email accounts (two Gmail, one Hotmail) attached to Thunderbird. One of the Gmail accounts is generally dormant, but I use the other Gmail address and the Hotmail address frequently.

Two days ago, I clicked on the frequently-used Gmail account name (the bold name down the list, not the subfolder under Inbox), and then explored that account's various subfolders (junk, etc.). When I returned to the unified Inbox, all the emails from that Gmail account had disappeared. The emails were still visible if I clicked through to the individual account as described above.

Today, I realized that none of the three email accounts were loading new messages. The "Get Messages" function did nothing.

I tried various fixes I found online. Nothing worked. I then removed both Gmail accounts from Thunderbird and tried re-adding them, but the re-add procedure always failed. My name, email addresses, and passwords were all entered correctly, and I used the correct IMAP settings (I used Thunderbird's configuration wizard, and when I doublechecked using the "Configure manually" button, everything matched Google's recommendations). However, every time I clicked "Done," I received the yellow-box error message reading, "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password."

Then, after each time I abandoned the re-adding attempt, the script at the bottom of Thunderbird's main window still read, "Mail for my.alias@gmail.com@imap.gmail.com: Connected to imap.gmail.com..."

In short, I'm stuck. Help, please.

Running Firefox 83.0 on Ubuntu (20.04). After upgrading Ubuntu to current version, Firefox will not load Yahoo e-mail in regular mode. Just thrashes and does nothing. All other websites working fine.

Tried safe mode, and Yahoo mail loads just fine in safe mode. As such, I turned off hardware acceleration. Did not help. Then disabled the only extension I had on Firefox. Then outright removed extension. Cleared cache. Nothing.

Yahoo mail still loads just fine in safe mode, but simply will not load in regular mode. I can access the yahoo main page, but if I click into yahoo mail from there it doesn't load that way either.
