Hello Thunderbird team,

First of all, thank you for the great work on Thunderbird for Android. I've been following the community discussions and noticed that many users are reporting recurring issues related to email syncing, notifications, account setup, search functionality, and overall app performance.

As a suggestion, it might be worthwhile to collaborate with experienced mobile app development companies such as AppVerticals. Their expertise in Android application development and user experience could help enhance performance, improve stability, and address some of the common issues users are facing.

I'm not affiliated with AppVerticals—I simply believe that bringing in additional expertise or consulting with companies that specialise in mobile app development could benefit the Thunderbird Android project and improve the experience for the growing user base.

What do other community members think? Would collaboration with external mobile development experts be something worth considering?

am experiencing the 'fresh new look' error pages, and am rather annoyed that the raw response code isn't displayed on the initial error page, and must click 'learn more...' to reveal the underlying response code. how can i return the error code to the initial error page and avoid the unnecessary extra click to get at that info?

(ps. i can assure you that by obscuring this basic piece of info, it definitely isn't 'making it clearer what went wrong', despite what the 149.0 patch notes claim)

All recommended settings by the internet provider are correct but e-mails can not be sent using Thunderbird. I contacted the internet provider and they say that from their side everything is o.k. and that I must seek assistance from Mozilla as chosen e-mail client. Can you help please. Thank you, Zoran

MacOS 26.6, Latest Firefox. 153.0.3. Tabs are not restoring, since update to latest FF. Tab History shows old stale tabs, not the tabs that were present at time of exiting Firefox. I had closed those tabs. Is this an artifact of caching?

The active tabs should be stored at FF shutdown, not the old closed tabs prior to that. This Firefox quirk is both on my Mac Mini M4, and on my MacBook Pro M3. Kind of a pain in the neck to restore where I was. It's enough to make me reconsider this browser - which I have used for decades, using Windows, Linux and now MacOS.

I researched how to restore a session. It told me to go to History and click Restore Session. There is no line with that name, in my Firefox, on a Mac.

Under History the docs show 4 items before "Clear recent history...", I only have 1. Recently closed tabs 2. Recently closed windows 3. Search history. There is no Restore session.

The tabs that were open last session are in the start up window, and the check box is set to restore tabs and windows. But my tabs were not restored. (I only had a single window open.)

What can be done to "restore" previous behavior of Restore Tabs and Windows? Thanks for any and all assistance.

i keep getting firefox is runing and have to close it all the time how do i stop it from saying that

When I create an event, I choose No Reminder. When the event comes dur, I get a reminder. When I edit the event it ha a 'Custom Reminder'. I can't find where to turn this off.

Yesterday when I used the Firefox VPN I could select United Kingdom, but today it does not appear in the list of countries available. I need the United Kingdom to access a streaming service.

Everytime I switch app and come back to the browser, my tab reloads. So like if I am watching a youtube video and I've watched it almost half, after the reload it starts over.

I've uBlock origin and Hide Shorts extension installed.

This has been in the last month or so. It will freeze up and I can't break out of it. Last time it froze the whole computer and I had to power down and restart. There must be something that changed. And there must be some way for me to be able to quit when this happens. Last time it was on a video call with my 104 year old mother and it is very annoying. The whole thing froze and I had to restart the computer and when I got it back up, she was off. I need some way to break out so I don't have to do a complete restart. t.

My email provider is Thunderbird for my professional email address and I use Gmail everyday for receiving and sending my professional messages. However, Gmail will no longer support checking emails from third-party accounts through POP from my PC.

The option to 'Check emails from other accounts' will no longer be available in Gmail on computer. The solution that Google proposes is to set up automatic forwarding (web): To get new emails to appear automatically in my main Gmail inbox (like with POP fetching), set up automatic forwarding with your other email provider (Thunderbird). 

Can you help me with the different steps  in both Thunderbird and Gmail settings to make it work? Alternatively, is there another way to still have access to my professional emails through Gmail? Maybe through Gmail app for computer that uses IMAP instead?

For your information: My Thunderbird server settings shows:  Server type: POP Mail Server Server name: pop3.mycompany.com Username: xxx@mycompany.com (my professional email address) Port 995 Thunderbird has been updated and is currently running on version 153.0.3. My computer is running on Windows 10
