I am using Firefox on Mac - I usually minimize instead of closing - It has started making a TAPPING NOISE I thought it was my computer - but It now has happened to 3 different computers and one is brand new - T T T T TTT , I have narrowed it down to Firefox, when I minimize it will do it, then opened and it stopped and min. then start, repeeat - now it does the TTTTT all the time with it open or minimized. What is going on?

I'd been using 115.9.0 for a couple of weeks, and found it cantankerous, but manageable. Finally had the screen looking something like my old faithful 109. Today I started up Tbird, and NONE of the windows came up, except the main menu bar. I found that messages were downloaded (but I couldn't see them), and I could Write an email -- it's screen looked normal, as did the Address Book screen. I clicked on View/Folders and found that only the top "Folders" was checked. When I checked "All Folders", nothing happened, and if I left that menu and came back, the "All Folders" was not checked. Then I clicked something at the bottom of the Folders menu, and the Menu Bar disappeared. I've been unable to get it back. I enclose a screen shot of the current condition. Anything you can suggest is appreciated.

The provided solution isn't enough (in my case, the certificate was already there, although there were intermediate certificates without websites allowed - I added that trust, as well as imported more corporate root certificates but I'm not sure any of this was necessary).

Anyway, many web pages didn't work, as all http requests beyond the original one were redirected through zscaler proxy 2-factor auth. All js, css, images came back with a 307 and the corporate authentication page, immediately followed by a call to the redirection, coming back as 200 ... but with the same auth page. I saw that the original request (the base html) was always sent with "ssm_au_c" cookie but page resource requests were not.

I did solve the issue. I had to change the tracking protection options from "Standard" to "Custom" and uncheck "Cookies". Now everything works.

I don't really need an answer but, as others may have the issue and I can't post in the original thread (which is archived), I figured that I should post it somewhere. However, if there is a way to keep tracking protection in place and only add an exception for ZScaler, that'd be great. Adding "zscalerthree.net" in the exceptions didn't do the trick.

I tried to login to firefox sync on a different system due to repair. My entire data is gone and all passwords are also gone. What to do.

I even tried login with username and password apart from google sync. It still didn't worked.

I am experiencing more and more pages suddenly not working on numerous websites. I am working with an Imac running OS 10.9.5. I am experiencing problems with Firefox, Chrome and Safari and am having to revert to my Microsoft Lap top for a working browser.

Any ideas on this???

Just installed thunderbird on a new to me computer When I enter my shawmail account it does the auto install and sets up but can t access imap server. My wife s shawmail works as does my ymail and gmail. called shaw but since it works when I log in through webmail, they can't help and suggested I try this site, I've deleted it and put it back and all the numbers are correct, Any ideas? thanks

I am trying to use OBS Virtual camera, I am resetting permissions of camera access, removing cache and data to be sure, and selecting it but it still doesn't let me use OBS Virtual Cam and selects Built in cam automatically does anyone has any solutions ?

when I enter for first time I can select and i select OBS Virtual Cam and I click on Allow and then next window pops up and it doesnt let me select anything else...

After last update, Missing "TRASH" folder and only have Junk Folder that everything is put in and marked as "Junk". Then those messages are all marked as "junk" automatically that may not be Junk. Tried to create subfolder named "Trash" and will not allow. Windows 10, 64 bit Dell laptop I-5 Inspiron 5759.

Account setup: Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password. TB gmail was working fine, then all of a sudden a TB pop-up window was asking me to sign into thunderbird with my gmail account and then shows a 400 error. Totally confused at what is happening. I have been getting gmail via TB for years.

Left Mac Mail for TB (on Fedora). I am trying to replicate my signature from Mac Mail but I can't seem to format it nicely. I had some legal disclaimer text which was small font (8) and gray rather than black. I tried pasting the text into the signature box in account settings but it's just plain text. is there some way to activate a rich text/html editor to make it look a bit nicer? thanks

Hi, I have a nextcloud setup at home on my internal network. Whenever I am away from that network, Thunderbird bombards me with error messages because it cannot sync a specific calendar (An error occurred when writing to the calendar Contact birthdays! Please see below for more information.) This is the first calendar on the list of calendars so I think it just happens to be that one that causes the error. What I would like to do is have Thunderbird detect that it isn't on my home wifi and not sync the calendars. Is this possible? Thanks!

Just updated Firefox, now it doesn't respond to clicks, not can I select text, websites don't load, all the tabs are at half -resolution. Unusable. Need to use it.

Hi everyone,

I am trying to setup Thunderbird to work with my company Exchange account (have installed TBsync and provider for exchange tbsync). It works well but Thunderbird has created on the server sent/trash/archive/drafts folders instead of using the ones that exists, and thus I can't access my history when I am in Thunderbird.

Is there anyway to parameter this? I couldn't find any, there are only options to store in local or on the folder created by Thunderbird (see picture). Thanks in advance for your answers!

when i write a new mail i have this kind of letters , by sent or received mail, the letters are different, see my two screenshots. how can i install that the letters in a written mail are the same in each group?

'Vanishing Menu BarBar' Mac OS system is set to NEVER hide menu Bar, yet both Thunderbird and Firefox hide the menu bar, they are the only applications I have that do this. the posted solutions DO NOT EXIST in Mac OS 14.4.1. The posted solution says to customize and then go to a menubar drop down, but in both apps there is NO such menu item. There is a menu item for the tool bar, which I have ON, but not for the menubar. So what gives?
