I have a number of pinned tabs, which occupy a lot of space.

I'm looking for something like a drop down menu to the left of the tab bar for only pinned tabs, which would then eliminate there display on the tab bar. Kinda like a pinned tab bookmark button.

I'd prefer it on the tab bar, but I guess a toolbar button would do.

When setting Windows to "Require DoH", firefox will not resolve DNS addresses, regardless of which "Enable secure DNS" setting is picked in FireFox security settings tab.

I expected at least "Off -- Use your default DNS resolver" to work.

If Windows is configured to just "Allow DoH", Firefox has no issues resolving DNS addresses, for any of the Firefox policy settings.

For reference, you can find the DoH policy setting in windows group policy editor, here:

gpedit.msc

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> DNS Client -> Configure DNS over HTTPS

(Have to enable it, then select Configure DoH options: Require DoH.)

you may need to issue a gpupdate /force for the setting to be picked up quickly.

I have noticed few problems using history with Back and Forward Button.

Firstly whenver we use back button my website to the hiistorical visited website in that same tab. However i have noticed that it keeps forgetting the count or number of historical sites visited in the same tab.

For Eg: if i navigate to several pages on the same site. Firefox will only remember few clicks upto 2-3 back.

Surprisingly when i click back button i am not able to come back to the last visited page by clicking forward button. Once i click back button then i wont be able to come to forward sites as the forward pages are fully lost.

I dont know why is this happening

Every time I login using my smart card I get this alert message

"Please authenticate to the token “ActivID ActivClient 0”. How to do so depends on the token (for example, using a fingerprint reader or entering a code with a keypad)."

I don't need to see this message every time I log in using a smart card. Is there away way to turn of the annoying unnecessary alert?

when playing a video on youtube a mute button should appear when hovering over the tab when language is hebrew, this sign appears always, being on top of the website icon

The browser now and again fails to connect to all my sites randomly. I have tried a firefox refresh which worked for a while however now it has gone back to the same problem. All of my sites load on other browers. The bookmarks, history and pocket tab has disappeared from the browser. Can you please help with this problem?

Something in the last few Firefox updates is now preventing me from logging into the admin interface of my home router (Sonicwall TZ570) and wifi access point controller (Unify Cloud Key). I have had these devices for several years and Firefox has always allowed me to make an exception and connect to the "unsecure device. Microsoft Edge is giving me the same problem which started about the same time a couple of weeks ago. I am on the latest version of Windows 10 64bit and Firefox is up to date. The Brave browser still works as it should (see first screenshot), but Firefox gives me the "we could not verify the certificate: reason = untrusted" error with no way around it (see second screenshot). I do not have HTTPS Only Mode enabled (see last screenshot) and I don't see any other security setting that should affect this.

This is my home, not a business and I do not have a domain nor a SSL certificate and I should not need one.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SYNC DELETED MY MAIN COMPUTER NEW TAB SITE PINS BY SYNCING FROM NEW LAPTOP LOG IN. IT ALSO CHANGED ALL RECENT BOOKMARKS TO OLD BOOKMARKS FROM THE NEW LAPTOP LOG IN.

HOW TO VIEW OR RECOVER OLD NEW TAB PINNED SITES?

I like to keep my bookmarks neat & tidy. That's why it's irritating to find duplicate "Other Bookmarks" in my Bookmarks Folder. I now have 3 of these folders. They all have exactly the same info in each of them. There are actually 2 "Other Bookmarks" folders in my main Bookmark Folder in addition to the original one under Bookmarks Menu.

I'd like to have just the original one that's filed under Bookmarks Menu. I'm afraid if I try to delete the extra ones that I'll somehow delete all of them. I've attached images of what I'm seeing.

Hi I am running latest firefox on windows 10. After a google search I have to put the view to full screen or move the window to see all the options on the right like 'tools' which I use a lot to limit to UK and the last year. is there any way to notice the window isn;t full size and the optios display should be made smaller or put into 2 lines?

1. Drop down to select the question. In search engines, when entering text, there is usually a text prompt to choose from, but I cannot select it 2. Verification code issue. The verification code usually swipes to the right after input, but cannot be moved at all! 3. Video acceleration issues. On video websites, it used to be possible to right-click to indicate video fast forward, but now there is no response after operation

My English is not good. Could you please write something simple and easy to operate so that I can translate correctly? Thank you

Every time I switch in to my browser, it reduces my entire max volume on my laptop to only 31-I'm not sure why, as I've followed all other suggestions-disabling all addons, disabling all enhancements in sounds tab, ensuring it's on the 'do nothing' option, trying to manually turn it up when on the browser-but every time i click into it it resets my entire volume down to 31, and only restores it once i click out of the browser. It's getting ridiculous by this point and I'm frustrated, it's not doing this in other browsers so I don't know why firefox is doing this, and why it's going specifically for 31, but it makes listening to videos and music extremely hard. I've attached the shared data via the button if it helps, I just really wish it would stop resetting my volume to barely audible for me whenever i try to check something.

When printing emails, the content in the preview pane comes up with empty spaces and won't show the actual content of the email to be printed. A simple one page turns into three pages. I have tried other browsers to narrow it down to a Firefox issue. I have tried all the "fixes" in the community that I have found and still nothing works. I have cleared my printer default about:support page as well. Please help! Attached is are three pictures. The first is a Fedex page I am trying to print. The second is the print preview that comes up with the first two pages showing how the content separates.

Using Firefox 117.0.1 on Windows 10, whenever I try to download a file (eg right-clicking an image, 'Save image as...') or upload a file (eg a photo to Facebook or a PDF to Cloudconvert), Firefox completely freezes (greys out) and no matter how long I wait this doesn't resolve. In the end I have to click the red X icon at top right, completely shut down the programme, then re-open it. And it continues to be impossible to upload or download.

I had to reinstall Firefox and restore my bookmarks from an HTML file. After the restore, I found I could only copy a few of my Bookmarks Toolbar and Other Bookmark links to the corresponding files in the new installation. I was only able to move the Toolbar bookmarks to the proper file because the old Toolbar file appeared on my toolbar, and I could move the bookmarks one by one to the toolbar until all were entered.

I'm faced with a similar problem with the Other Bookmarks (OB) file. I only have five or six bookmarks in the file, and I need to add about a dozen more. I tried copying and pasting them into the new file in the Bookmarks Manager; the bookmarks copied but would not paste into the file. (I know they copied because I successfully pasted them to a LibreOffice document.) I tried opening one of the copied links; it said it was in the OB file, but it wasn't listed. Why can't I just bulk-copy the bookmarks into the file in the Bookmarks Manager? If that isn't possible

mozilla firefox sound keep getting turned off. I go into Sounds Mixers & find the Mozilla Foxfire Sound has been disabled & I turn it back on, then a week or two later I can't hear any Sound on Youtube or any other platform.

In going through and deleting my browser history, I find that they are labelled:

C:\User\Marita Quality\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\History: ...

Nothing is labelled as been Firefox, but I consider that I am using Firfox as my browser. Has Misrcosoft Edge hijacked my computer?

Restore previous tabs stopped working after updating to 117.0.1, browser launches the home page instead. Settings unchanged since previous install (see screenshot). OS Win10.

Hi, Recently updated Firefox, and also migrated to a new machine. FF seems to be working fine on new machine, but absolutely unresponsive in loading on old machine, despite problem solving in safe mode, cache clearance, and refresh, as well as re-install.
