Hey.

I don't know if it's a "problem" or it's really right.

What you need to do for see an example of what I'm saying: 1. Open Telegram Web (web.telegram.org/k/) 2. Right click on any link 3. Right click again, over the link

You'll see a normal options menu, FF is not recognizing as a link So, because of that we can't open links using private window

I don't think anyone has noticed that yet.

Hi,

I have been using Firefox sync for many years now. I just got a new computer and when I tried to connect with my account, I received a message saying Firefox has locked my account.

Would you please fix this asap? I use your browser to work and not having my account back would force me to switch to Chromium, which I don't want to. Please note my account and my email address are both legit. Thanks

Hello everyone,

I have been running into a display issue for a while now : the SMIME information regarding either signature or encryption is not displayed anywhere when reading a message (either in its own window, own tab or within the default view).

The weirdest parts are (cf images):

  • for PGP, no issues, either when receiving or sending
  • when creating the email, the SMIME signature / encryption logo is displayed as expected (at the bottom of the composition window)

I didn't find anything within the Error window (besides some issue happening with basically every email when switching from one to another in the main window) :

18:30:07.548 WebExtensions: suspend not available protocolhandler.js:350 18:30:07.582 WebExtensions: resume not available protocolhandler.js:353

Technical details :

  • System : Archlinux
  • TB version : 91.3.2
  • Installed add-on : Owl Owl (tried to contact them but no answer yet)

Does anyone have an idea why this would happen / a way to fix it ?

Why does FF make you search all over again for logins/passwords? If I search for a login and get multiple hits and after I look at one and click the back button I have to search all over again to get back to the same results. Is this a feature or a bug? Is there a setting I need to change? If it's a feature can you add a feature that lets us go back to the same results if we click the back button?

Thank you, Matt

Using Aladdin USB Etoken on Windows through etpkcs11.dll. Certificate is configured in the account. When I try to sign an email, password prompt shows but It throws an error about the certificate and the email is not signed nor sent. The ONLY way I find to get it to work is: 1. Open Thunderbird 2. Go to account settings 3. Open certificate list 4. It will prompt for Etoken password, enter it 5. From now you can sign any email (without further password prompt) I thought the workaround was to enter the Etoken password once and try to send again, no matter wherever, compose window or account settings, but It only works from account settings.

Hi all!

To test this I did a complete fresh install of Firefox on Android. After installation I paired Firefox with my account via firefox.com/pair. On my PC the main password is activated and supposed to protect my passwords via encryption. After pairing and enabling the password sync option all my stored passwords are available on the Android phone. And I even can have a look at them in clear text.

This is a huge problem since it never asked me for my main password. This password is supposed to be required to decrypt this data. Which means this data is not encrypted on the Firefox servers. Which in turn means even my passwords I use on the PC are not secure.

According to all documentation I read until now I was assuming my data is only stored encrypted and can only be restored with the main password. Right now I don't really know what to do. I require a secure password store.

Many Greetings! Remo

When I receive a calendar invite, Thunderbird presents a new toolbar above the message giving the options of "Accept", "Reject" etc. How do I disable this? There have been a number of occasions now where people have claimed that I have accepted their calendar invites and I was totally unaware of this. It seems that it's possible to accidentally click these buttons and send an e-mail reply and not notice I have done so. While disabling these buttons would be the best option, at least having to confirm the sending of the acceptance (or otherwise) e-mail would be a second-best solution as that way at least I could cancel the unwanted action. Thank you.

I have been attempting to use Firefox Private browsing default installation out of the box on netflix, and messages.google.com/web and in netflix's case videos do not play, and google messages page is a blank white page, and also any website that uses facebook comments, that section is not loaded. What is this setting that is causing these behaviors in the private browsing mode, is there a article somewhere that explains in detail how firefox's private browsing mode works?

After receiving an email about lockwise absorption, I thought I would try changing my firefox account password. Mainly that was because I do not see any other way to log into another mac system without it. I can sync an ios device with the qr code scan but not another mac system.

So from the account profile I went to Change Password and changed the password to some new securely generated password.

Now in my saved passwords, I see that the new password is saved for "(no username)" account and the old password is still there for my user name.

But when I try to log into FF browser on another mac system with my user name, neither password works. They are both "incorrect".

Firefox Daylight (94.1.2) > Secret Settings > Use third party CA certificates (Allows the use of third party certificates from the Android CA store)

1. There are devices with Android Operating System that DO NOT have the possibility of installing certificates in the User's Storage.

2. It seems that Firefox does NOT recognize and accept those certificates that have been installed in the System Storage.

I say "it seems not" because I do not know the root of the problem. However, this has been the case since the "Secret Settings" appeared: Firefox does NOT serve the certificates installed in the System Storage.

And this causes a big problem for all Firefox users whose Android devices only allow to install certificates in the System Storage.

In that situation, Firefox does not work properly when it must interact with another magnificent application such as AdGuard AdBlocker.

Please, note that I do not speak of AdGuard as a Firefox "add-on"...

And, for what you want more, I beg you that, although the approach to this problem may be somewhat difficult to understand, put all your attention on the fact that Firefox seems to fail to use any certificate that has been stored in the System.

I'm just trying to warn everyone about this big bug in the hope that you, guys at Mozilla, can and will fix it.

I had a motherboard go and had to replace it.. ..logging into firefox I get the email verification notice, the most basic crap you have to deal with, normally, except when it comes to Mozilla!!!

I started before noon, so far I've gotten five numbers and everyone was expired when I got it!!! One of those five came in while I was writing this. It's so frustrating to have to deal with this type of incompetence, the most basic, everybody uses it and why companies like Mozilla have it and ignore it, obviously they aren't maintaining it.. ..and this company markets and sells security components like the VPN...and they can't even handle the most basic login verification!!! WTF!!!

I use Firefox (94.0.2) on a Macbook Pro (using MacOS 11.6.1) and went to log in to Twitter this evening and had a strange result. I only occasionally view Twitter using my laptop and I use my email address and a password to log in. When I clicked in the field that reads "Phone, user name or email" I expected to see the Firefox autofill to show my email address, but instead it shows the name "Farha Hussain" (see screenshot image).

I checked my Firefox preferences for Saved Logins and I have my email address and password for Twitter saved there, but no mention of Farha Hussain (my name is Keith). I tried other websites to see if I could recreate the issue and couldn't. I visited the Twitter login form using Chrome and Safari and neither suggested Farha Hussain as a user name, so I think that this is something specific to Firefox on the Twitter website.

To make this an even more unusual situation, the only "Farha Hussain" that I know is a doctor in my city who I have been meaning to contact to see if she is accepting patients, but haven't yet done so. Her name is in my Mac Calendar and that's the only place I can think of on my computer (not in contacts or anywhere else). How this would be connected to a Twitter login is beyond my understanding.

Let me know if you would like additional information or screenshots.
