I'm trying to install Mozilla VPN but it won't install. The error message is as follows: the installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

No, there's no such option in settings. No, removing updater physically does not stop pop-ups. No, there's nothing in about:config to shut up the updates.

For Firefox team:

No, your updates ruin the browser, more and more, I think I'm about to switch to Pale Moon instead.

I'am unable to add new contact to address book. I enter all the details but there is no "SAVE" button to apply. I have uninstalled and re- installed several times but the panel to add a new contact still has no SAVE button. I've istalled from Thunderbird official site and Microsoft. I have run in Trouble Shooting Mode, but still same problem. What's going on ????????????? Brian

I lost all my personal data on Firefox as soon as I changed the password and I did not know that you can lose everything that I had registered in the download box and the previous archive. Now I am very, very mentally disturbed and I do not feel safe and I am very sad about what happened to me. I am crying now. What should I do? My psyche is really broken due to the lack of information....

Just installed TBird on new laptop, had an awful time. On the main mail page, across the top, there is a search bar (ctrl k). Should there be a 2nd one below it in the middle? Trying to configure it exactly like my older one, but can't find the right selections. Had remote help from BestBuy Geek, she only got half of it. The 2nd search bar is there, and tried to take a snap of it but can't get it. It has the threads symbol, the attached symbol, and one other on the left, and at the end of that line is the symbol to select them. She missed that completely. Can anyone tell me what that part is called, and where to make the selections from? (easier if I could show it to you, sorry) As always, Thank you! Stacy

I have successfully posted a question, and I figured out how to view my post (GilDawson -> View Profile -> My Questions). However, I notice that my screensnatch does not appear with my posting! It is important to illustrate my problem, and I was careful in uploading it, yet I cannot find it and I cannot figure out how to update my post.

I cannot change the background image when my Firefox app opens on my MS Windows laptop. During set-up, the system had me select an image, but I want to change it as I find it distracting. Thanks!

I really like using the "Shortcuts" (Top Sites) feature on the Firefox new tab page. However, there is one problem: Firefox automatically adds new shortcuts from recently visited sites.

I would like to keep only the shortcuts I manually pinned, without Firefox suggesting or adding new ones automatically. Currently, if I disable browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.topsites, all shortcuts disappear, and if I leave it enabled, Firefox keeps adding unwanted sites.

Could you please add an option to disable automatic shortcut suggestions while keeping only pinned shortcuts? This would make the feature much more convenient for users who prefer to manage their shortcuts manually.

I use Thunderbird on a Mac, where Gmail is my default email. When I try to send an email, it often takes 10 tries before it goes through, due to timeouts. How can I fix this?

I recently booted up a new installation of Thunderbird on a new laptop running Fedora Linux after my old Laptop running Ubuntu died. Fortunately, I had been regularly backing up the old machine with Deja Dup. I restored all my files from a recent backup. All my files seem to have been successfully recovered except that many locally-stored Thunderbird messages are missing, and some local folder names have been corrupted.

Since I see problems only with Thunderbird, I suspect the problem lies there rather than with Deja Dup.

Has anyone else had problems with restoring Thunderbird from backups? Is there something I might try to recover the missing messages and corrupted folders? Should I be using a different backup in the future?

When I open my Thunderbird I obtain information: "free link provider, Account is not properly configured".. The problem is I am not able to find a mistake, I have not changed anything in my configuration in recent months. What to do?

Hello:

When I signed into my computer this morning, a pop-up asked me if I wanted Firefox to update. I let it do that, and then a pop-up came up letting choose among some photos and art for a desktop background. It even let me upload a photo of mine. I chose one of yours, now I can't change to any other photo I have on my computer. Please help.

I am getting the following error message when using Firefox. The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem. I cannot see my bookmarks or add new ones. I followed the directions in articles about this problem and they did not. help. I decided to uninstall Firefox and l re-installed it from scratch and i still get the same error message.

My problem with Thunderbird downloading my Yahoo.com e-mails continue.

I've changed Yahoo.com passwords in the past with no problems. Thunderbird seems to have changed & become more complicated. I can't find the app password Generator for Thunderbird, but I'm able to see my Yahoo Password & the Oauth2 security protocol etc

So how in the heck can I get Thunderbird to work properly? And download my my messages into TB as it has done for years.

Hello, I tried following the steps on [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/.../moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer]. However, I currently have a flatpak installation where I land in a folder which also has executable among other files (?). I do not see the usually named profile folder and therefore cannot copy it to my new computer. Do you know how I can move in this case? Thanks
