I uninstalled Thunderbird on my Windows 10 computer, however when I downloaded and installed it again, I was able to recover most of what I needed from my previous profile, except my task list and tasks.

Having searched every article I was able, I could not find the file extension for tasks and/or task list nor when I do find it how to properly import into my new settings/profile which I am using.

Whenever I use Firefox the UI image elements will become oversized making everything squished. I have provided pictures of the incorrect display and what it looks like on my default browser fir reference.

I'm with BT and recently changed my password with them. Presumably as a direct result I can still receive emails through Thunderbird but can't send them (though both work fine if I use BT's own web service).

Initially I was getting 'timed out' responses but I've been running through some of the previously suggested fixes and am now at the point where I'm trying to enter the password (to login to BT server) and it's not being recognised.

All of the primary account settings seem okay, so I'm running out of ideas that aren't beyond my limited level! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering if anyone can shed light on this.... I'm using the very latest version of Firefox 124.0.2 (64bit) And recently having a problem when video chatting on facebook when chatting I can't see the "Cam" Icon to call up. Yet on Crome all is good.

Any help?

I've recently started migrating to Thunderbird after relying on Gmail's web client for a long time, and an issue I'm running into is that it's missing a bunch of contacts after syncing, including all contacts with my own name. This is a practical issue as I send email to myself a lot, both between my accounts and to the same account as a form of task management.

I have a primary contact entry representing my @gmail.com address itself, which also has a couple other personal non-gmail addresses merged into it, as well as about half a dozen contacts created for my addresses at former employers, university accounts, etc. Not a single one of them has synced, and they don't seem to have anything in common other than bearing my name. Contacts for other people sharing my forename also don't seem to have synced, and neither has as a contact representing another former work email that wasn't named, but included my name in the address itself.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why these would all be skipped. They don't seem to have any other special characteristic. I haven't, thus far, found other contacts not synced, but with over 200 entries on the list, I might well have missed them.

Thunderbird Version 115.9.0 I have been using Message filters for many years without a problem. Recently my email provider, Cox, switched all email to Yahoo. The emails remained the same but had to change to Yahoo servers. All of this works fine receiving and sending emails. The only thing I notice is the emails download slower. The Filters now do not work all the time, I run them manually and some still don't work. If I go to the filter and click edit, don't change anything and exit and then run it manually it's works but doesn't work the next time. I wait until all email is downloaded and then manually run the filters, some work and some don't all the time. Thanks for any help. Ray Mulkey, Ray.Mulkey@cox.net.

I have 8 employees but one central email address. All 8 of my employees have their own computer but when I tag a specific email with a name (and colour) of one of them, some of the ther computers can see the tags others can't. What I am doing wrong?

I'm coming over from Apple Mail where I'm used to seeing a two-line preview of the message in the Message List of the Inbox. Is this feature not available in Mac Supernova ver. 115?

For a few weeks I have had a new problem on my new Windows 11 Lenovo laptop, and also on my wife's older Dell laptop. We have been using Thunderbird for years without major problems. I loaded the latest version of Thunderbird on my new laptop and it seemed to work ok at first. Now I have a problem with intermittent failure to send normal emails on Thunderbird. My wife has noticed the same problem on her laptop Windows 11. I asked iPrimus support (who are supposed to support Hotkey) but they say it is not their problem but Thunderbird's. We RECEIVE emails ok, and sometimes pressing SEND will work immediately, sometimes on the second press, and sometimes not at all. This generates a message "-- Unable to authenticate Outgoing Server (SMTP), smtp.hotkey.net.au -- Check password and verify authentification method in Account settings/Outgoing server SMTP" We both use Trend virus protection.

Cannot send email. Has there been a Thunderbird virus since last update? I conferred with Charter Communications and they were unable locate any problems. However, I did note early on that in settings Charter Communications was spelt incorrectly. (Commuications).

When I'm writing a new email, I receive several copies of it in my inbox without explanation. It's a recent situation and I can't find a solution. Can you help? Thank you. freiroma@sapo.pt

The latest version of firefox for MacOS 14.4.1 has broken the picture in picture function. When enabling PiP, the video window takes up almost the entire screen and doesn't remember the size i set it to, like it did in older versions of Firefox. Another issue is when im in fullscreen mode and enable PiP, the PiP window takes me to another 'desktop', whereas before it would simply overlay on top of my screen.

When I have the Firefox browser open, every time I click away from it to another open window I get this stupid graphic that pops up near the bottom right corner of my screen that says "Intelligent Work" and rotates through three different images. It is really irritating and I can't figure out how to make it go away. This is a new computer and I only installed the Firefox browser this week. It only happens when I click off of the browser to any other window.
