Hi I need to run multiple firefox instances, each with a dedicated profile The following used to work before version 121 on MacOS: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -no-remote -p &

The above method is not perfect, but it works. Since Firefox upgraded to 121, the above method stopped working.

Any way to launch multiple instances as before? Hate to switch to Chrome, but Chrome allow you to switch easily.

Running firefox 121 with Gnome I was hoping a problem that existed with earlier versions would be resolved. When the window protocol is wayland and the window is fullscreen (F11), playing video fullscreen causes the image to be "oversize" and only the upper-left quarter is shown.

Doing the same thing with window protocol of xwayland results in fullscreen video displaying properly.

I believe this is due to an issue with the way my 4k screen with 2x UI scaling is being reported to Firefox:

Under xwayland, I get the following information for my display (Display0) 3840x2160@120Hz scales:1.000000|2.000000

When running wayland, I get 7680x4320@120Hz scales:2.000000|2.000000

Thanks in advance

Sometime recently the History > Recently Closed Tabs function is slightly broken, and it appears due to the loading of website icons.

See Screenshot 1, where "Recently Closed Tabs" has loaded the list of sites but has not loaded the website icons. If you now move the mouse pointer into the sub-window containing the list of sites, that list will disappear and you have to click "Recently Closed Tabs" again.

If however you wait for Firefox to load all the website icons, as shown in Screenshot 2, you can move the mouse pointer into the website list window without the list window disappearing.

This is an annoyance in slower connections, e.g. public hotspots or while tethering in poor coverage locations, as the icons may take some time to load.

TB 115.6.0

I have a POP account (not Local Mail) with thousands of archived e-mails already in yearly folders. At some point, I updated the "Archive Options" to use monthly folders (Keep existing folder structure of archived messages: UNchecked). Some newer archived e-mails have now been correctly archived to Archives/YYYY/YYYY-MM folders.

I'm now trying to get them all archived to monthly folders. I selected all the e-mails in Archives/YYYY and executed the Archive operation. Many were correctly moved into designated Archives/YYYY/YYYY-MM folders but many also remain in the Archives/YYYY folder still. "Archive" operation has no effect.

I have tried moving the e-mails from Archives/YYYY to a newly Archives/foo folder. When I run the Archive operation, they are all put back to Archives/YYYY whyyy 🤬 I've tried repairing all the folders and it doesn't help. Everything else seems ok, nothing appears corrupted... these e-mails seem to have some sort of hardcoding to put them back into Archives/YYYY instead of Archives/YYYY/YYYY-MM. It's not just Archives/YYYY either but Archives/YYYY-1 (2023 and 2022). I haven't checked any others, but I have Archives back to 2000 yeah boy 😅

In the mean time, instead of running the Archive operation, I'll just have to move them manually...

Hello there, Im having issues loading some sites and logging into those sites. Peacocktv.com for instance. Even after disabling all my add ons and split tunneling the site from my surfshark vpn. Must be noted that I am not have any difficulties the the sames sites on other browsers like duckduckgo, Chrome, Carbon and internet explorer even with my vpn fulling running with all functions enabled. See pictures below one is the error message I'm getting where I must click try again several times for the next page to load. Then once it loads it's my sign in page in which once I fill in my info I must click log in 2 or 3 times then finally it gets the the next page which is the site's first page where you choose your account and when I try to enter my account I have to enter my pin but once I do that it just jumps back to that same account page and no matter how many times I go and enter the pin it doesn't go past that page. Also when I delete all the history and cache one I fillable get logged in after fussing with the login for quite a bit I get the next page I sent a picture of which asks me to allow DRM-Controled content? I give permission it then goes to the forth picture of the kitty cat face. Also worth mentioning besides routing the split tunneling and disabling all add ons, I also tried turning off HTTPS ONLY and enhanced tracking protection and I still git no changes. Please help? Only tithing I haven't tried to Uninstalling and reinstalling the app which is actually not a bad idea I will br trying next

Hi,

For some time now, Thunderbird seems to open my web browser once in a while to show me a donation page. How do I stop this behaviour?

For more context, this behaviour leads to a reset of all my web browser sessions. Thunderbird manages to launch the web browser before unlocking my key chain, which leads to a browser that is unable to decrypt its own session files. Resetting all my web browser sessions is a bit infuriating.

Precursor to this was a couple of Firefox crashes, likely(?) related to insufficient disk space. With this now remediated, am seeing the same CODESIGNING error. Then reinstalled Firefox afresh; same findings.

Have also tried to boot directly into Profile manager, with the same error.

Then disabled all extensions (an experiment?) in the Mozilla/Extensions folder by renaming it. No Joy.

Given above, I cannot now log into Firefox now to examine any aspect of configuration which I might change/disable.

Of great concern would be salvage of the password store and a very large bookmarks collection.

Thunderbird 115: I have the message pane below the email list (Classic layout). If I hover the mouse over a link in the message pane, the actual link is shown at the bottom of the window. The problem is that for long urls which don't fit on the status line, a line is added above the status line to display the url which causes the message pane to move up one line. This causes bad jitter on the message pane as I can just leave the mouse on the link and the jitter persists until I move the mouse again.

Also occurs in Wide layout, but not in Vertical layout.

Preference would be to either show as much of the url as possible int he existing status bar, or add the line but leave the position of the message pane alone. Moving the message pane is a bad solution.

Anyone have a CSS solution?

Over the past few days Firefox had been randomly slowing down, and sometimes wouldn't let me click back into it from certain tabs in the foreground. Earlier today it blue screened my laptop. I have never experienced any kind of bluescreens before. Event ID was listed as 2. I was not attempting to open a new tab or had any abnormal tabs open, I was simply clicking back into the browser from another application. The application was the Fortnite launcher, which I doubt would have created serious conflicts with Firefox. Attached to this report is a screenshot of the event on my laptop. My laptop is an OMEN HP gaming laptop. It has an i7 12700H and an RTX 3060 (Laptops). It has 952 gigabytes of storage, 418 used. It has 16 gigabytes of ram. The only applications opened at the time were discord and steam. It is now running fine with no files lost, however I'm reporting this at it may be a deeper issue with Firefox itself as I don't presume I was taking any actions that would have resulted in a blue screen. I don't necessarily need help but this was the only avenue I found to submit a bug report. Apologies if this is clutter to the site and not the proper avenue for this sort of issue. However I felt it was important to report any form of bluescreens as those are rather severe issues.

Autostart on versions 114 and above (except the latest beta version) shows nothing after splash. It launches the first time, but then on every PC windows 11 restart, the splash screen loads, and then nothing happens. I have to manually launch it, and then TB asks me to close it because it's already launched. I click to close and then TB launches successfully. I've tried using the minimized/maximized and Admin options in properties, as well as Batch scripts. But it doesn't work.
