I'm having a lot of frustration trying to edit the shortcuts in the New Tab page in any kind of smooth and easy manner. While I recognize that having sync turned on means that Firefox destroyed my pinned shortcuts on this PC when I logged into Firefox on the new PC I am setting up, it's incredibly inconvenient, and the lack of options in regards to editing makes replacing all of it really, really awful. I have no ability to see the history of my shortcuts, nor can I save configured shortcuts and restore them should an improper sync destroy my previous settings. If I want an empty tile, I have to go through and repeatedly dismiss everything from my history to stop more of my visited websites from replacing said tile. Is there something obvious I'm missing here? If not, is there any kind of way that more customization options for New Tab shortcuts might be suggested?

I have clicked the 'always ask where to save download' box, but the save files to downloads is still active. How do I get it to ask me where to download to every time?

Hi, My computer was having some issues and I thought that I transfer everything to a flash drive to transfer my information to a new computer. Come to find out it didn't transfer over to the flash drive. So everything is lost. My book marks and my saved web sites and passwords to them. I was wondering is there any way that you can help to retrieve them?

Just curious, how long does it take to get a firefox upgrade/update through Microsoft store? Firefox 118 came out on 9/26/23 and is nowhere to be found through the Microsoft store a day later on 9/27/23.

I can't change the name of one of my firefox profiles. I have an error where the name is too long and it cannot be changed. Is there any way to do this other than creating a new profile and deleting the old one?

I'm trying to set an exception to popup blocking. When I enter the URL of the website in question and click Allow, the URL ought to appear in the list of exceptions; instead nothing happens. This is a relatively new installation, and I haven't tried to enter an exception before; therefore the list is (and remains) empty.

I'm using Firefox 117.0.1 (64 bit) under Windows 11.

I want to export my chats in Markdown and I don't like how bloated Superpower GPT is, I just need to download chats. I wonder if this has to do with the [relatively new addon domain restrictions feature](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/addons-restricted-domains). I followed the instructions on that page to set `extensions.webextensions.addons-restricted-domains@mozilla.com.disabled` to `true` in about:config. The addon still doesn't work after restarting Firefox.

when i open a new tab,add on managers tab also opens. open another tab same thing, so if i have 4 tabs open also have 4 add on managers open it dose not do it in troublshoot mode

I have multiple "instances" of all of my bookmarks in my Library--specifically, the Bookmarks Menu, the Folders within that menu and all of the individual bookmarks within each folder. (See attached; I'm just keeping the Bookmark Menu level but trust me, each one of those 5 instances has the exact same list of Folders and associated bookmarks.) I just want to see ONE instance of them in my library, not all of these redundant instances. When I delete ANY bookmark or folder in ANY of the multiple instances, ALL instances of that bookmark or folder get deleted. Searching the forums, I get solutions for combining duplicates, or backup/restoring bookmarks, or "turning off sync." But none of these relate to my issue (e.g., sync has never been on). They don't act like duplicates (where if you delete one the other remains). It acts as if there are multiple "pointers" to the same menu/folder/bookmark.

Can someone please assist with how I can get rid of the redundant instances/listings of the Bookmark Menu, folders and bookmarks without deleting all of them? I'd ideally like to keep the first one, underneath the Bookmarks Toolbar, so it shows up at the top of my screen.

Now, A reply from "Paul" said this is a google issue and it is not. I have 3 gmails and I can't open one of my email accounts using Firefox but I can open it through Microsoft Edge. I have emailed Google about this so far I have been ignored so, when I discovered that it would open through Edge and Chrom this told me it's an issue with Firefox not google and the problem started with the last firefox update. So, I already know it's not an issue with google and I have no problem with my other email accounts just the one.

When I opening new webpage, for 1-2 second's i see white blank page (which is normal), the question is: how can I protect my eyes and change this default blank white color screen to something... darker?

Addon "Dark Reader" did not help.
