My computer is a mac running OS X Yosemite. When I tried to update I got a message saying that the update was not compatible (My operating system is too old?) I had to reset back to an earlier version of Firefox. Is there some way I can make an update that will allow me to keep using Firefox on my machine?

My Firefox browser has ceased working on my Mac Mini (OS X 10.10.5) - have tried several update downloads, all coming back with the message that I cannot update the browser due to the OS I have. What is my next step? Have I lost Firefox as a browser? Suggestions?

Can you add a configuration setting to Mozilla Firefox to disable Create New Profile, configurable in the policies.json file? (A second option but a much uglier one would be to disable being able to select a file location for a new profile. Then you could make the default profile directory write only, which would also accomplish the same thing.) (A third option would be to able to configure extensions by default upon installation in the ExtensionSettings policy.)

To explain, I use LeechblockNG on Firefox on Ubuntu. Very helpful. By placing a policies.json file (see at bottom) in /etc/firefox/policies/ directory, I can create a system wide policy. I can make the LeechblockNG extension mandatory and to be installed upon every new profile creation. That all works very well. HOWEVER, there is NO way to be able to set those options in the new profile. So LeechblockNG is installed with default options (which are no blocking at all), which effectively bypasses the addon.

I am also writing the author of the leechblock extension to see if there is any way to set the options for leechblock upon installation (the third option above).

But I know other people have this same question, and at present, if I am correct, there is no way to block new profile creation, or the Profile Manager window in Firefox.

So could you please add that option to the Firefox policies.json configuration? Something like "DisableNewProfiles": true would do it.

I endeavoured to send an email this afternoon, and subsequent emails and received a message saying: sending message failed. A required TLS feature is missing. I have no idea what this means or how to fix the problem. I have not had this problem before and have used Mozilla Firefox for several years. Please don't be too technical as I am barely computer literate. Thank you. Dave Hill

I am currently using Thunderbird (128.6.0esr) on a Mac with OS Sonoma (14.7.1). I have used Thunderbird for many years with a Gmail account on both Windows and Mac machines, and it has always worked well.

But a couple of days ago when I tried to open Thunderbird it went into some kind of loop. The MacOS spinning beach ball appeared and would not go away no matter what I did or how long I waited. The only way out was to Force Quit Thunderbird. Rebooting the Mac and trying again produced the same results.

I have logged into the Gmail account on the web and had no trouble accessing it. But every time (and I have made many attempts) I try to load Thunderbird the spinning beach ball appears again.

I cannot check any of the various settings that Help articles have suggested checking since Thunderbird will not load at all.

If anyone can suggest how to resolve my problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Greetings all, my trusty Firefox stopped working. Error Code PR_Connect_reset_error. Other browsers work fine. I have windows 10 with the latest updates and use Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391 (m). I have paused Kaspersky, uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox 3 times. I have cleared all Firefox cookies and caches a number of times. On my 2nd Firefox reinstallation Firefox worked ok for a couple of times then stopped again with the same error code. Please note that I am not very familiar with computer stuff so any suggestions need baby steps. Many thanks.

HOW DO I GET MICROSOFT OUT OF MY COMPUTER?

EXAMPLE: I NEVER SIGNED UP/IN FOR ONE DRIVE. IT MEANS THAT THINGS SUCH AS DOWNLOADS HAS A MICROSOFT TOOL IN THE FILE LOCATION.

HOW DO I QUICKLY FIND THINGS LIKE MOZ VPN TO DOWNLOADS? I RECEIVE VPN FOR FREE. IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE THAT JUSTIFIES THE COST OF FIREFOX'S VPN?

I'm running Sequoia 15.1.1 on an M1 Mac Mini. Never had problems before. TB 128.6 0 esr.

As soon as it opens it crashes.

I have a lot of unopened files in a pop mailbox, going to try and remove them.

It seems to still work on my iPhone. Any ideas?

I M get this working. I'm in a panic. Please help.

Leider weigert sich Thunderbird meine Passwortpräferenzen zu speichern.

Ich muss nun bei jedem Start mein Passwort eingeben. Ich habe bei jeder Eingabe auch das Kästchen angeklickt, dass Thunderbird doch bitte mein Passwort mit dem integrierten Passwortmanager speichern soll. Nachdem ich es eingegeben habe und erfolgreich eingeloggt bin, sehe ich, dass Thunderbird es aber nicht abspeichert, denn unter "Datenschutz und Sicherheit" -> "Passwörter" wird kein gespeichertes Passwort angezeigt.

Ich verwende die aktuellste Version (habe ich bei "Über Thunderbird" kontrolliert). Ich verwende kein CCleaner. Mein OS ist Windows 10. Mein Posteingang funktioniert normal und ich kann meine E-Mails sehen und neue versenden.

Wie kann ich das Problem bitte beheben?

I have a Firefox account, I have a Bugzilla account (not used for a long time but was able to log-in back!). I try to understand the detail of some security bugs listed in the Firefox release notes by following the link (to bugzilla.mozilla.org) at the bug ID#... but I always get the reply from that site that I am not logged in with the "appropriate permissions". Actually, when I look at my Bugzilla profile (I am indeed logged in), I can't see any permission for that account. Who defines the permissions? When? What/who could change them? On what basis? Where/whom is the request to be sent to if any? Thanks in advance for the help.

I want to know whether I can update my current Firefox version with my very old desktop setup. I am using the Firefox browser version 78.15.0esr (64-bit) on my iMac 2007 running OS X El Capitan. This notice came up when opening Firefox: " Your version of Firefox will start to have problems on January 14. A root certificate will expire, causing some preferences and other features to stop working. On March 14, 2025, add-ons and more features will also break." Following the instructions to update, in About Firefox window, it checks for updates and then shows Firefox is up to date. I've interpreted this as there's no version available that I can update to. Is that correct?

My husband's emails are arriving at his correspondent as though they have come from my email address. This means that his correspondents keep replying to me and not to him. So far I have not been able to see anything wrong with our settings. Any ideas as how to correct this, please?
