Title: Please Add Native Background Play for YouTube, Facebook & All Video Platforms

Hi Firefox Android team,

One feature request that would make Firefox Android truly unbeatable:

Built-in Background Play — for all platforms.

Currently, to play YouTube or Facebook videos in the background, users have to manually switch to Desktop Mode, which is a frustrating and confusing workaround. Most users don't even know this trick exists.

Please make background play a native, one-tap feature that works automatically on any video platform — YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and beyond — without requiring Desktop Mode or any workaround.

Brave is already competing for YouTube users. Firefox can win them all by being the only mobile browser that plays any video in the background, natively and effortlessly.

This single feature would bring thousands of users away from premium subscriptions. YouTube Premium's biggest selling point is background play. Firefox can offer that for free, for every platform, to every user.

That is a massive opportunity. Please take it.

Many users ask for solution to disable your great invention : annoying mute buttons (speaker). And creators of FF strongly make it imposible to turn it off? Why? Is ther a "must" to suffer this? There will be some of reward for pain you give with this "feature"?

why is the icon even there or why does it have to disappear and then also change the tab size ?

1) if its there to enable you to play a tab in the background, then i want the option to switch the feature on or off (because i do not want to play anything in the background, atleast not via a 24/7 target practice with a mouse)

2) if its there to give you notice that there is a 'multimedia' tab open in your browser, then i want the icon to stay there and not dissapear plus change tab size...

like what is this even ? are we back in the 50s ?

Greetings! I've been a Firefox evangelist for a long time! I'm having issue with my Dell Precision 5530 pushing Firefox audio to a Bluetooth speaker connected to PC. Others browsers work fine, however FF wants to use the speakers on my monitor, connected via HDMI. I've tried to change several times, however FF does not want to use the BT.

I want to play m3u8 link but they always download and save it. I try to find advance settings but it seems no settings for it. How can I stop download specific file extension? And if it can play, play it? Thank you.

Since yesterday, videos on NetMirror are not playing. Every video shows a “Video load failed” error. I have tried multiple times, but the problem is still happening. Please help me fix this issue.
