I recently updated to Firefox 135.0 on MacBook Pro, Catalina, OS 10.15.7 In the past, with multiple Firefox windows open & multiple tabs open in each, when restarting, "reopen pages on startup" selected, system loaded & ready to go, I'd find all windows, tabs & history available upon launching Firefox. Since update to 135.0, shut down & restart, launch Firefox and I find a single blank new window, no multiple windows, no tabs, no history. I've tried to find [Settings] to make everything come back - no joy, to no avail. Suggestions? Help? Thanks, JS

Until now I have always used the mouse scroll key to open links in a new tab in firefox. Now it does not work anymore. I have to right click the link and choose to open the link in a new tab. Have been looking for a setting for it, but can't find it. Is this something new? I want Firefox to work as it has always done sincce I started using it many years ago. Please help!

(btw my browser is Firefox Nightly) Don't get me wrong, I love having vertical tabs. It's less busy than the horizontal tabs and I can look through my tabs more quickly. But, the way it's implemented sucks - It makes the layout of the webpage pop anytime I use it; there is no keyboard button attached to opening and closing the tab (I have to go through my horizontal bar to open my vertical bar); and recently my browser forgets the sidebar settings, meaning I have to re-check the "Hide tabs and sidebar" setting.

Bonus request Can the sidebar just go over the webpage (i.e. like the application menu) instead of squishing it? I'm ok with having some webpage features temporarily covered if it means I don't have to see the screen pop into a new rectangular shape every time I switch tabs.

I'd like to try enabling Tab Groups in Firefox 135.0 (64-bit). But I don't want to risk scrambling my gazillion or so tabs if Tab Groups is not stable.

I'd appreciate some feedback from Firefox users who have enabled Tab Groups.

I'm running Windows 10 version 22H2

One way you could help is making a option to split screen two different windows in the same screen simultaneously, that way we can multitask and be more efficient.

I am trying to turn off the auto refresh function, but I can’t get to the actual configurator page. When I type about:config into my url bar, I get search results via DuckDuckGo, instead of the configuration page. When I click on link, I get taken to a Mozilla help page, but CANNOT get to the actual configurator, to change the setting to “true”. How can I actually get this page to come up?!?!?!

I have many more tabs open in the background then I actually have. I am not good at this but I can give what I know I am experiencing. 1st photo has16 tabs open in pc's task manager 2nd photo shows that I only had 2 tabs open in Firefox browser 3rd picture show 19 in task manager. I expanded in task manager the Firefox app and right clicked to end task to remove what might be ghosts tabs running in task manager. ----That did not work There are currently 6 of them that has the efficiency mode on the 19 tabs.

Firefox is getting complicating for my abilities but I appreciate using Firefox for all the flexibility. I usually ask a friend to set me up or help but he is unavailable and this seems to be above his head to. Crossing my fingers for a easy solution. Thank you, Happycamper

Due mostly to upgrades in the app software, it's necessary to restart Firefox on occasion. Also, it's necessary due to OS upgrades. While the Restore Previous Session is a wonderful feature, it arbitrarily (and properly, by default) forgets all of the Private Tabs. But, there are times when I'd like to save some or all of the Private Tabs I've got open. A 'settable' feature to 'Remember Private Tabs during Restart' would be a tremendous asset at times.

I have several windows that won't open upon starting Firefox. I had 7 windows with multiple tabs open when last closed. They usually all open again (per my settings) when I open, but this time only 2 opened. I ultimately moved all tabs to new windows, but one window that has only one tab with "OneTab" (from the OneTab extension) in it won't open. And I can't move that tab anywhere. That "Onetab" has multiple important tab. Any idea for solutions?

How do i stop firefox from opening a new tab everytime i open Firefox? I just want one tab unless i choose to open something in a new tab. Everyday i end up with like 30 tabs and it's slowing my phone down.

you are repeating old mistakes. You have become worse than Microsoft. Firefox is not remembering open tabs again. I have supported your Firefox until now but enough is enough.

Since I updated firefox a day or so ago, the tabs on my tab bar display at the top of the window change width to add the audio icon when the tab starts playing audio, which I find distracting especially when the active tab plays audio intermittently in response to my interactions with the tab. I couldn't find anything about that in the settings page. How do I turn this off so that tabs in the tab bar (at least the active tab) stay the same width?

When I open Firefox browser around ten several weeks old tabs are there. It is not set in the setting to open. I did many attempts to get rid of this nuisance and they are still here. I Created new profile, erased all profiles, removed Firefox, and reinstalled with option not to use old setting since new installation found that the fire fox has been installed. And frustration part that Mozilla do not offer (as I know) support to fix this problem. This glitch is hidden somewhere and the program always find it an put it back. I am not sure if what to do as I run out of options, other than turn to another browser after many years using only Firefox with no problems at all. Thanks Ned
