I found that an update (Thunderbird 104.1 Oesr) was installed today (7/24/25 @ 7:45 am) on my Windows 11 device after which I could no longer connect to my Yahoo/AT&T Mail account. Is this something that anyone else has experienced? Is it possible that issues with Yahoo/AT&T are having today may have something to do with this?

I have been using Thunderbird on my laptop for a few years. It stopped retrieving my emails and I have not been able to get any emails on Thunderbird since June 24, 2025. I have tried changing the pop3 & smtp settings to those currently recommended by at&t but it hasn't worked. Please help!

I have installed Thunderbird as a first-time user on a new computer. I am able to receive emails but cannot send. I have the correct outgoing server settings and confirmed this with my ISP. They recommended that I check to see if my antivirus software is preventing from sending, so I uninstalled Firewall and it's still not sending. Can you assist in any other options that I should try to get emails to send?

In the past I have set up message filters for emails to go to trash successfully. When I tried to do it recently all Emails are going to trash. ; nothing coming into the Inbox. I cant work out what I have done differently. I would like some step by step help to guide me in overcoming this problem. Many Thanks Hugh

Outgoing email message states: Sending of the message failed. The message was not sent due to exceeding the allowed number of recipients. The server responded: Insufficient system storage.

The other day I had a problem with images loading on my screen and I selected an option to block the this flow of data. Now I cannot send an email message using Thunderbird

You have a big issue with Thunderbird configuration for email, where Thunderbird does not download the entire mail account for outlook.com emails and hotmail.com emails. What is missing is the following folders: Junk mail, Drafts, Sent, Deleted Items, Archive, Conversation History and Notes. I trouble shooted the Thunderbird extensively using Chatgbt and nothing I did resolved the problem with full synchranisation in the outlook accounts and the hotmail accounts.

I cannot set up my icloud email in Thunderbird.

Error implies that the password is incorrect but i know it's correct, i am able to sign in to webmail using it just to prove a point.

"Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password"

I have verified server info on apple support and verified username and password is what i use on all other devices. Username and password also works on MS outlook.

My Thunderbird mail, which has been set up as POP until now, started giving this message yesterday morning: "The connection to the server mail.munkebo-borger.dk was reset." After that, it no longer downloaded any mail from the server. I have now switched Thunderbird to IMAP, and everything works fine since then. But what is the reason that it will no longer run POP, which it has done for several years? Best regards Tommy Jeppesen

Thunderbird has worked well for me. I have ptd.net email account & also a verizon email in it. But this AM, all of a sudden, my outgoing ptd email required my ptd password. I put in the correct one, (verified that) but sending fails. Although, inbox emails are arriving. Penteledata says it's not their problem, but Thunderhbird's. Any ideas? I need to resolve this as I need it to do my work. Frustrated in PA SS

I am unable to recieve mail on thunderbird for the last several days. I am receiving the message "Alert from account xxxx@comcast.net: Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - try again later (comcast is my mail provider) where is this message coming from and how do I clear it. I use a VPN and have shut that off but has not fixed the issue. I have the same VPN running on my Iphone and am able to still recieve messages via the Iphone mail client... Any thoughts?

I'm dealing with a properly updated 'bird: 140.5.0 (32-bit) running on an equally updated Windows 10 desktop. First thing this morning, out of nowhere, I started getting an "unable to write the email to the mailbox..." message when sending, thus I could send but not save. And then I realized I wasn't receiving either, on all three accounts in my Thunderbird. I stopped everything and focused on trying to fix this. It's been an all-day, losing effort. So far.

I tried the various quick checks and fixes recommended here and there: I'm running the program as an administrator. I restarted the program. I rebooted the computer. I think I have enough disk space, but to be sure I deleted some bloat from possibly overly large files. I compacted, even though the program is configured to do that regularly. I temporarily disabled my antivirus program. I went into my webmail and deleted all messages that have arrived since my Thunderbird stopped receiving, in case one of them was corrupted. And probably some other attempts as well. Nothing has helped.

And now a second, even worse issue has fallen from the sky. Thunderbird opens. The folder list is where it always has been. The number of unopened messages in each folder is there in boldface, as always, but...the folders are all blank and I get the dreaded popup: "unable to open the summary file...." Have I lost my years' worth of carefully curated emails?

I've tried folder repair. I've deleted parent.lock. Etc. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.

I will be super-grateful for any wisdom sent my way.

I have had Mozilla Thunderbird for many years and used it daily. Now you are writing to me that you want to close my mail program because I haven't used it for 2 years.

I have 2 email addresses linked to Mozilla Thunderbird: [edited from public] @hotmail.com and [edited from public] @gmail.com. I can receive emails from the Hotmail account, but I cannot send. From the Gmail account, I can both send and receive. Why can't I send from the Hotmail account?

Sent emails remain stuck in the outbox. I consolidate several email accounts. But sometimes emails get stuck in the outbox after being sent. This is annoying because you don't expect it to happen, and it happens with different email accounts. The error is clearly with Thunderbird.

I have thunderbird installed on my android phone and my Dell laptop. I want to be able to sync my email accounts so I don't have to delete all my emails in both places. My laptop does not give me the IMAP option, only POP3. Thanks for any advise!!
