In many cases when one opens a new tab, the new one is opened on the right of the "parent tab". After reading the web page of the new tab, one often decides that the new tab is no longer useful and deletes it. Firefox automatically opens the tab on the right of the deleted tab, rather than resuming the "parent tab" on the left. This seems to be an ineffective design as probabilistically there are perhaps >90% chance one wants to go back to the "parent tab".

Q1: should Firefox change the default for resuming the left? Q2: is there a setting that user can change?

you asked me to change my profile, choose a color and I did. But when I wanted to Firefox, all my old password and bookmarks had disappeared. I want them back if I am going to continue to use Firefox as my favorite browser.

i turned off the enhanced tracking and i still cannot see or earn my channel points i have turned my site security to nothing to see if that would do anything I have turned off all my add-ons and they just dont show can anyone tell me whats happening here

Trying to read PDF pages in Firefox. When I click on a file it says "You do not have OpenText Content Server Browser Web Extension 2.0.10 installed, or it is not enabled. Follow these instructions to install and enable the extension." I've looked in the extension add ons but cannot find the appropriate add-on and when I go to download from file, there are no files that would are appropriate either. Any suggestions? Also, I'm using a federal government laptop if that has anything to do with it.

This afternoon, I clicked on a link from an email and for the first time got a choose a profile pop-up. I do not want this; I have read info on Mozilla and elsewhere about its purpose but it doesn't say how to just stop the pop-up - there should be an option just stop the pop-up because I don;t want to have to choose amongst options. I have started copy-pasting the links in emails and going to Chrome and will seriously have to reconsider using Firefox of this continues. I don't want to have to type about:config or anything - this should have been an opt out or opt in thing and I want out. Thank you for your help.

I have been trying to enable Firefox Sync on my Windows 11 PC (Firefox 145.02). I open the Firefox Sync window, I click on Log In, I enter my e-mail and click on "Sign up or Sign In" and then the view freezes and I never get any further. The attached screen capture never changes, no matter how long I wait.

My account won't sync my old passwords and browser history. I recently reinstalled windows and when I tried to sign in to my mozilla account my data wasn't there.

3 times now, my account has completely reset, forcing me to log into everything again and not working with the key that I copy and pasted and downloaded. I would like my old data back. Why does this keep happening?

Dear support, I have 2 pcs and I need to enter sync password every time I open Firefox - start notebook. It works fine on the second pc and password is remembered. How to solve it? How can i talk to tech support? unable to share screen on both zoom and ms teams. also, limited function within browswer and zero access to both ms teams and zoom via application outside browser. per endnote tech support, the problem with either apple or firefox. i need to go through the process of elimination where is the problem originating.

I'm on the local network. When I use Firefox to download a very small .docx file, the download gets stuck and doesn't move, taking a while to complete. But with Edge, it downloads almost instantly. Please help resolve this issue.
