I recently donated to TBird but it is unable to send any emails. So I uninstalled it and tried to download a fresh copy but I couldn't avoid the donating page. I paid again but I just get a page telling me to finish downloading - but not how to do so. I've waited half an hour but nothing has been downloaded. If it's still possible to download TBird, how can I do it - preferably without repeatedly paying?

I am still using Thunderbird release 78.6.0 (32 bit), (Dec 2020) on my HP/Windows 10. I would like to update, and I've copied profile, but I am worried about any difficulties. I was reluctant to update over the years because online I read about crashes and not getting the email program to work again. Or having to reload manually every contact or other issues that would be so tedious that I didn’t want to engage with the update process. If I can update slowly from one version to the next without problems, that’s fine. I would look forward to some improvements in the available formatting options but otherwise I really don’t care about integrated extensions or features. I mostly interested in the formatting that is available in Outlook. Thank you, KathyO

Firefox says it is "up to date" with 115.24.0esr, but Vanguard still says my browser is not supported. What do I do? I have already manually downloaded ESR 15 as my macbook is using 10.13.6. This is supposed to be good until August 1, 2025.

I turned my laptop on this morning and Thunderbird disapeared! It looks as though an auto update failed after the .exe file etc had been deleted. How can I re-instal (via my desktop if necessary which I am on here) without losing all my settings. The profile appears to be intact. Having re-installed, how do I connect to the profile which is on a separate disk?

Hi - I have been looking for over 2 days. How do I import all my data (emails, addresses calendar) from Outlook to Thunderbird.

I have tried Import tool within Thunderbird - import from Outlook. I tried MailStore and was totally confused - the terminology was strange. I managed to make an archive - it took ages to find where it was and I still do not know the file extension.

No videos...nothing.

Thanks

I've used Thunderbird for years, and I LOVE it! A few days ago, my hard drive died. I had it replaced, and I've used my data backup to recover much. I did NOT have programs/apps backed up. I need VERY SPECIFIC steps to download and reinstall Thunderbird so that it uses my old profile. Should I first delete EVERYTHING having to do with Thunderbird and start anew? I did download it today and then went to the C:Users/Owner/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird folder. In that folder, I deleted the "new" profile file (I think!). Then I moved my backed up folder called Profiles into that directory. I tried to get Thunderbird to use that profile, but no luck. I'm reasonably intelligent (I've been told!), but I can't figure how to do this, and I truly need a step-by-step blueprint. Do I download Thunderbird first? If so, what do I then do to make it find the old profile. I'm running Windows 11 Home on a PC. Right now, I'm going for a long walk to clear my brain. In the interim, if one of you really smart, nice experts could give me instructions on how to do this, I'd be eternally grateful. I have numerous folders, and some really important old emails in that old profile. I also would like to be able to retrieve my address book and calendars ... which I ASSUME are part of the old profile. Thanks in advance for ANY assistance! Don't assume I know ANYTHING!!

Hello: tbird nebula 128.6.0esr w11p. I want to put my 2024 (esp gmail acct) mail into a new profile, keep that profile as mere backup. I've used systools gmail backup & takeout to make what looks like (it opened as a pdf, I think) a successful .mbox file now on my desktop. I've searched the posts here (48 listed) & googled (UPenn has only real answers, but seem too sketchy for me), but no real assurance what I want to do will work. I have created new tbird profiles over the yrs w/no trouble but not for this purpose. But let's say I can successfully create a new profile, & where I want it. So... -do I just create the profile -do I (a) create all the accts (b) just click the "import" fcns in tbird tools (I don't need to remove anything emailish in the new inbox (for example) that tbird put there, since I would not have moved anything from current active tbird profile --right?). And (c) tbird would convert the mbox file(s) from the systools/takeout folder I designate, and the mail in "inbox" & "inbox.msf" folders (for example) would magically happen in the new profile, as converted from that mbox?

 Thank you.

Please indulge this silly question. What possible benefit is there for Mozilla continuing to list this page with the very first, oldest Firefox release at the the top, requiring the user, every time they visit, to scroll to the middle of the page to search out the current latest version instead of having the chronological order from latest to oldest instead?

I have tried 3 times to do a 100% clean out of my old Thunderbird program for a clean re-install. But it never works, so when I install TB afresh the same glitch pops back up, making the program unusable, and the process has to be repeated. Any clues anyone? I like Thunderbird! I use win 10 upgraded to win 11 and comcast provides my email service. Thanks.

I *think* I've followed the instructions, but I am unsuccessful in moving Thunderbird Profile to new PC. I copied old profile to external drive. I opened Thunderbird on new PC and found Profile folder. I went up 3 levels and pasted old profile from external drive into folder on new PC. But my old data have not moved. When I go into new Thunderbird and choose "open profile folder", it shows me 3 files: the two that the system created in the new download, plus the old Profile that I pasted there. The new version of Thunderbird uses the "new download" profile as the default. What am I doing wrong? Thanx!
