Is there a way to customize settings so that my address bar uses one search engine and my search bar uses another? For instance, can I set my browser so that when I type something into the address bar it will using the Yahoo! Search engine, but if I type something into the Search Bar next to it that the Search Bar uses Google Search?

I doubt this is an option the browser offers, but thought I'd ask to be sure.

I'd like to use different themes for regular Firefox and Private Browsing mode on the same device. It seems like an easy way to keep track of where you are and what you're doing, but I haven't been able to make it work. Is that possible?

My company IT department recently reset everything on my work computer, so I am trying to get Firefox to look the way it looked two weeks ago. I am on a PC, and I used to have the options for history, bookmarks, etc. in drop-down menus above the tabs bar. How do I get that back?

I have my TB email on the C: drive, which is an SSD. I would like to have archives stored on the D: drive, which has lots of free space.

• 1. Moving existing archives would be nice....

• 2. Future archives stored on D: is most critical.

I've asked before and not gotten an answer (at least one that I can act on). Any help appreciated.

The refresh button (circular arrow has gone from the toolbar It is not present in the customise list It is restored if I I select 'restore defaults' but is only there for the current session and not when firefox restarts So how can I add the restore button PERMANENTLY please

I would like to disable threaded view on all folders and subfolders. How can I do that without having to manually change the view settings for every single folder and subfolder?

Hi Recently changed computer, now running Windos 11 and installed TB. When I type an email, all words are underlined in red, even though they are not mis spelt. I downloaded the English UK dictionary. If I right click in the email, it shows English dictionary ticked. It also shows Check spelling , ticked What am I missing? Thanks

My last update Thunderbird (111/112) changed layout UI to "Supernova" (I think, it's changed now), which uses 2 lines per message (with no more detail Tabs)

I've installed a Tree Style Tab add-on recenty. Now I want to hide horizontal tabs from the top.

I had some problems with Firefox and in the course of fixing things my 1Password extension disappeared.

I'm using an older version of the 1Password extension and have used it for many years, and the extension was working fine in my Win 11 computer before my "fix" of Firefox caused it to disappear. But I still have the 1Password extension executable, so I ran that and 1Password showed up in Firefox - sort of.

The regular 1Password icon looks something like a door's lock, but that lock symbol has been replaced by something that looks more like a puzzle piece. When I click on that puzzle piece I get see the window showed in the 1st image and when I put my mouse pointer in that window I'm asked to "run" the extension as shown in the 2nd image. The 1Password extension works fine but I don't understand why I'm seeing an icon that I didn't used to see and being required to "run" the extension instead of simply clicking on the icon.

Hello, Is TB in the future going to be able to access Godaddy Office 365 mail exchange without Owl. I have many email accounts (different domains) on Godaddy and it seems I have to purchase a Owl license for each domain email, is this correct.

Is there a simple method to turn off the annoying popup notifications about upgrading Firefox? I don't want to upgrade, FF seems to be working fine. Sometimes updates bring new problems.

I'm not a programmer, so I'm hoping there is a simple fix to stop update notices. I think it was a bad idea to have them appear in front of other websites. They often popup when I'm watching something on Netflix.

I get emails via Thunderbird on both my iphone and laptop. Deleting from one does not delete on the other. So I have to go through emails twice deleting the same ones. What control am I missing?

I have created an HTML signature for my account which is always inserted. So far so good. However, each time the character -- is also inserted, which according to the support pages HTML signature is obviously even intentional. For me the question is, how do I make it disappear? Does anyone have a tip for this?

Trying to find out how to turn on Java Script bin my Firefox Android Browser on my phone. I saw where it says that the question was archived, but it shouldn't go Ave been because this seems to be a recurring problem and a control for it ava script should be in plain view. I've been trying for DAYS to learn how to turn Java Script on. Can you please tell me how to do it and don't archive the answer? Thank you.

how to remove the annoying thing in top right corner list all tabs make that piece of [removed] go away !!!! now

its the little arrow that points down ! i always show all my tabs so this little piece of [removed] thing needs to go bye bye , why do you always add the dumbiest [removed] nobody needs ! if your going to add something here is a idea also add and [removed] delete button so nobody would have to waste time to remove it !
