Thunderbird will no longer send E-Mail but still works for incoming E-Mail. It provides the following error message:

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) outbound.att.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

The Outgoing server is configured as follows: AT&T / outbound.att.net / 465 / SSL/TLS / Normal Password / E-Mail

This configuration has not been changed in years. Everything I can find on line suggests this configuration should still work. Any suggestions you could provide would be appreciated.

Hi, I am using Fibrus email (network name is HomeWifi and network key is Fibrus123). Fibrus uses eero as a modem. I cannot work out the correct server settings in Thunderbird as there doesn't seem to be a place for 'network key'.

Most grateful for any help you can give me.

I set up message filters to run automatically on my inbox as the messages come in. They don't work. I've searched all kinds of solutions, read and tried the solutions posted here, followed the steps...they don't run. What am I missing?

Thunderbird has worked fine until today on all four of my WinX systems. Was there an update? I haven't tried them all, but on two of my systems today Thunderbird won't fetch e-mails from the AT&T yahoomail site. Anybody else having such problems?

Rarely fetches emails automatically at 15 minutes. I can fetch manually. This has been going on before the last update. I haven't changed any settings. Sometimes it fetches when I open the app. Other times I must fetch manually. Also, we should be able to fetch sooner than 15 minutes.

Hi guys I do have various email address from hotmail and Gmail. After outlook did not synchronize all of my Hotmail mail accounts I wanted to switch to thunderbird.

Now I do have the following issue. I want to add a Gmail account into my thunderbird. After typing in email address and password I am being redirected to Google.. I click on further and then I see a white page and the website is not loading at all. Once i go back to thunderbird it says login not possible with OAuth. Whatever this means. How can I solve this?

Ever since thunderbird did its major upgrade to include encryption some years ago, when it resulted in my address book being lost, I've foung thunderbird harder to use, Emails get downloaded 2 znd 3 times over so I once had 40,000 emails in my in box the vast majority duplicates. After deleting most of themI was dismayed to have the double and triple downloading continue. I now the email on my angroid phone far more than Thunderbird because of this, sometimes when drafting emails the message screen goes god knows where when I go to find add address from my address book, There is yet a straight forward to rasily increase and decrease the font size in received emails. As my eyesight fails thay's an important omission to have to work around, Firefox has an app that adds buttons to increase and decrease font size, simple. Never understood why Thunderbird didn't have somwthing similar, Much more convenient than have to stop and search for my glasses,

I think a back to basics approach to Thunderbird rather then adding bells and whistles that may ne nice buy seldom used, I just learned gmail allows you to retract emails. Yhat's a feature that I will lead me to at least explore gmail. That's mt 2 cents,

don't misunderstand me I've used Thunderbird for over 20 years and would be very re;uctant to leave it,

Bonjour, Je reçois des mails d'un même site, certains sont cliquables, d'autres non. Si je les lis avec orange, tout est ok, sauf avec thunderbird. Que dois faire pour continuer avec thunderbird. Merci pour votre aide
