Every time I close out of Thunderbird I lose one of my email accounts and have to reconfigure it each time. I looked through the settings and can't find out how to keep that from happening. Any input?

I want to close one of my email accounts but it is the one to which Thunderbird sends me emails, such as info about updates etc. I don't want to close the account and then find I get no information from Thunderbird. How can I change the email address that you use for me?

Apparently y-all aren't to smart to understand the your customers do change their telephone numbers and email address from time to time. It appear to be to smart to have instruction to alert you customers to the location of the forms to be used to change passwords, customer names and email address. ya think?????????????

Hi folks, as title states - If I delete an IMAP defined account, will it's associated local folder also be deleted?

Currently I'm getting mixed answers on this when searching more broadly online.

I'm betting this is the definitive place to ask this question :)

I use Thunderbird to handle my two email addresses. I recently added my wife's address to use temporarily while we fixed a problem with her laptop. Now she is using her laptop again and I want to stop the retrieval of her emails. I could just delete her account information but I would like to just switch it off, in case it is needed at a later date.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I need to know if there is an account possibly: [email address] or [email address] or anything with my name Kathleen (aka Kathy) Higginbotham. I'm in an old Windows configuration. I have now switched to MAC and I still see files that read : Firefox password manager ext. Please help me to delete this account ASAP. If there is a paid support option, that's OK with me.

I am trying to find a way to pause an account without deleting it. I have googled it, and searched every option and nothing described is ever found in the application. I am using version 140.3.1esr I need instructions for pausing an account without deleting it.

Could you please tell me how to how to add existing mail account to Thunderbird? I could not find "existing mail account" in the [new] which is [file] in the top Bar. Also, there is no "Add mail account" button.

Me and my colleague are using the same email account on Thunderbird. How do I delete the account from only my Thunderbird app? My colleague will still need access to it.

Originally downloaded and installed Thunderbird 140.3.1, created an Outlook account, but no folder other than an Inbox. Uninstalled Thunderbird, downloaded and installed Thunderbird 140.3.0, same issue, no folders other than an Inbox. Both configured using incoming server imap-mail.outlook.com, outgoing server smtp-mail.outlook.com. Windows 10, Outlook works okay as stand alone.

Hello, I have removed a work email/google account, uninstalled/reinstalled Thunderbird, restarted computer etc etc several times and this error still pops up.

How do I make this go away? I have checked incoming/outgoing, all other sections I can think of in settings and it still persists.

I've had a donation Mozilla Thunderbird account for a long time. My email account when I started donating I had a Yahoo account but I do have it any more, I would like to change it to my Gmail account
