I was able to log in/on to Mozilla Support but when I tried to sync - update it would NOT accept the password, even though I was able to log in - on.

Am at an impasse. I can, if I could get to them, answer the security questions!

thunderbird doesn't recognise (I'm australian we don't use z's anymore) my password and keeps on wanting me to enter a new one I enter every password I have had in the last 32 years at least and still no then all of a sudden it sends a message. I reuse that password and it won't accept it.

I need to reset my primary password but previous advice on the topic is confusing. One responds recommends deleting the key4.db file but I am concerned about deleting a file which caries a message that doing sop may impact on the operation of the program. Can someone give me a clear response of what I need to do. Cheers David

Overnight, while computer was sleeping, Thunderbird appears to have forgotten the email password. A dialog box pops up when checking email "login to server pop.centurylink.net with username {correct email address displayed} failed." With options retry, enter new password, and cancel available. Retry simply loops back to this error. Entering the (verified) correct password has no positive impact at all. Program and computer rebooted, no change. Windows 11 Pro. Password was not recently changed.

My primary password is not being accepted. Is there any way to create a new one? I have the instructions Reset your Primary Password if you have forgotten it. I do not understand how to copy text and paste y the Console

I cannot log in to Thunderbird because I don't remember my password. I'm having a problem changing my password, not getting any options, no screens to replace it.

We have bought a new computer so we have Windows 11.

We downloaded Thunderbird and tried to sign in to allow us to use our Email 

judy.parnell@bigpond.com on it. It asked us for my full name and password and kept saying we had it wrong. We have forgotten which password we used and who's name we used. The email is for both of us. Can you provide us with our name and password we used so we can install it on the new computer or if not tell us how we can install it without the name and password. Earlier this year I downloaded Thunderbird and started trying to use it. Early on, I somehow set a password and I am not able to remember that password. So, at that time, I uninstalled Thunderbird and continued using my old Outlook 2016.

Recently, I realized that End of Life for Outlook 2016 was near or already here. So, I decided to try Thunderbird again. HOWEVER, Thunderbird still keeps prompting me for passwords – apparently looking back at my previous installation.

I would REALLY like to get out of my MS connection and continue with Thunderbird, but I am frustrated and can’t get in enough to reset the password/

All assistance and guidance will be very much appreciated.
