It's very tricky the clone a FF profile, so I want to avoid that. (If there is a SIMPLE way to clone a FF profile, that would suffice. I have found no such animal.)

I would like to start Firefox by invoking different UserChrome.CSS files.

Is that possible?

I am not intereted in RUNNING both these simultaneously.

yes, I realize I could go through renaming and unrenaming files before starting FF to achieve this. But, I am I'm looking for a method using native FF resources.

The summary says it - How do I make Thunderbird automatically close the 'original' message when I click Reply or Forward?

Outlook does this, and I find it odd that Thunderbird does not have a toggle for this. I find that I end up the day having to close out a dozen or so 'original' messages...

Please tell me there is a switch somewhere! :)

I was trying to reset my password and was having difficulty and finally I was able to change. I also have been trying to delete VPN and have been unable to find how to accomplish it.

I am getting pop up after pop up using Firefox even though the pop up blocker is on. I am afraid that I need to use a different browser even though I have used Firefox for lots of years. I was especially annoyed that on more than one occasion a pop up happened when I was trying to get on my bank website. The pop up stated that access to my bank account had been blocked and I needed to call a phone number to have it unblocked.

My business has two domains. I can send email to a Gmail account holder using the primary domain with no issues. But amy emails from what I call the "secondary" domain below are treated as spam. This occurs with two different email addresses using the secondary domain.

Both domains are hosted with Bluehost. Exhaustive research has revealed the following:

• Settings in Thunderbird are exactly the same, e.g. ports, security, SSL/TLS, etc. for each domain.
• There is no subject line or content that could possibly be regarded as spam.
• MXToolbox indicates that the secondary domain is not on any blacklist.
• Extended support via Bluehost reveals that SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are all correct.
• Email sent to a Gmail account using the CPanel (Roundcube) is not flagged as spam. Only emails sent via Thunderbird are flagged.
• Emails sent to a Gmail account from the secondary domain using my mobile phone, but still on the same network/IP address, are not flagged as spam.
• If I first send an email to one of the secondary domain emails FROM Gmail, then reply to it, the reply is not flagged as spam.

After many hours of head scratching (and later, head banging), I am pretty much at my wit's end with this problem. I'm an electronic engineer but this one is definitely out of my wheelhouse. Any help would most certainly be appreciated!

I asked ChatGPT the following questions, and as a result, I also have some questions for Firefox. Where can I get answers? I do not like the Edge browser for several reasons. Firefox, as far as I am concerned, is the best browser for my use. Due to the fact I reside in Kaliningrad I must use a VPN to access sites I used to take for granted when I lived in the Czech Republic. This morning, as usual, I tried getting connected to VeePN in my Firefox browser. As usual, it does one of the following: 1) “Something went wrong at our end.” & “try to update” or “contact us for assistance.” 2) Continuously refuses to connect, leaving with the message: “Connection Error. Can’t fetch server config.” 3) Connects very soon after opening Firefox, perhaps 5% of the time I try connecting to VeePN. This morning, I spent many attempts over the course of 2+ hours, and no connection. Sometimes I had to refresh the VeePN extension due to the immediate, continuous, fast popups of “Connection Error. Can’t fetch server config.” Then suddenly, without rhyme or reason, VeePN connected. Also, this morning I decided to test using VeePN on my Edge browser, and it immediately connected, with no hesitation. This begs the question. Is there something about Firefox that may be causing the issue? I have not changed any settings anywhere regarding WiFi or Network & Internet Settings. In addition, sometimes, when I tire of trying to get VeePN to connect in Firefox after decades of connection attempts, I will use my Browsec VPN. I have learned not to use two VPNs simultaneously, one or the other, not both. Also, it is worth mentioning that VeePN is far superior to Browsec, but that is my opinion based on how they both perform after being connected for a good period of time. I can be connected via VeePN all day and have no issues. Browsec requires regular refreshing. Either VPN, however, is affected by the internet connection and the wireless connection between my router and the dongle that sits on my desktop near my PC. Yes — based on what you described, this strongly suggests the problem is more related to Firefox itself (or the Firefox extension environment) than to your internet connection or VeePN service overall. I have added an image of all the Firefox Extensions I use, obviously, some in the list are turned off. My mail account was recently migrated to office365, and I saw that Thunderbird v145 and later supports this natively without the use of a plugin.

However when I follow the instructions to set this up I don't see the Account hub in the same way that's shown in the article.

I've tried this on both Linux (ubuntu 24.04) and Window 11 both with my original profile and a completely blank installation. On Linux I've used both the Canonical supplied Snap (from the monthly/stable channel) and the download directly from thunderbird.net.

Two identical spam emails came in, and I deleted both from my Inbox. Both had attachments. Deleting them moved them to the Trash folder. When I went to the Trash folder, I found both emails had been combined into one file. Is that "threading"? I don't want any emails to be combined together EVER. Previously I had checked the "Unthreaded" box in Settings; so if this was threading, why did it happen?

Another question: I couldn't find anything to do with this combined file but to delete it. Did the act of deleting it also delete the attachments, which probably contained viruses?

This "threading" business has been going on for years now. I always check the options that supposedly disable it, but then it keeps happening.

For the life of me I can't understand the options in View>Folders. The folders in my 3 accounts are sorted differently. In all 3 accounts I simply want 4 folders visible: Inbox, Sent, Spam and Trash. I've already tagged them as 'Favorite Folders' Making selections in the - View>Folders is very confusing for me. Why are there 2 Favorite folders in the list??

Ever since the update to iOS 26.4, I’m unable to access insecure or untrusted sites. I first noticed this when trying to get to some devices on my local network, but I tested an insecure site on the internet and it happened there too. What’s weird is that Safari does still let me access these sites after proceeding through the warning as expected (albeit with a refresh which is new, maybe a bug), but Firefox will just load for a split second and stop.

Just a quick rundown of some additional info:

- Firefox has been updated to the latest version, 149.0. - The local sites are ones I’ve previously given trust to - Firefox has local network access enabled in settings - This also occurs on iPadOS 26.4 - I did some more testing while writing this and it seems intermittent? For example, I have a server with several docker containers, and I can access some of them if I put the port in with the IP but others I can’t. I also have a device that I can get to via hostname but not IP. - I also downloaded Chrome to test things there and I get the “this connection isn’t private” message with the option to proceed anyway, and I’m able to access these sites there.

I’m not sure if this is something on Firefox’s end, Apple’s end, or a combination of the two. Either way, I wanted to see if there was anyone else experiencing this issue or if it’s just me.

Had a double disaster, both OS partially upgraded at same time due to space issues and had to wipe and install.

Ended up with a TB install in Ubuntu where 2025 emails are missing. (see image #1) Found out that my backup should have most of them. (see image #2)

How do I safely identify the 2025 mail content in my backup folder, and how do I safely copy them over to the existing set up?

I see that the 933 profile exists in both so most likely it should be one of the lower number profiles in backup I need.

I have everything I need from my old machine except my e-mail filters. If I copy the whole profile I will lose all of the sent messages and saved messages I have generated since I got Thunderbird up and running on my new machine.
