I have been using Firefox for years. I am not tech savvy. A very tech savvy member of the family recommended firefox years ago (and now says we should use Brave or another).

Does anyone run Firefox? Why is there no contact centre/people? Why do other members have to answer questions? The reason I am losing total faith in Firefox is that it must made me update and restart and every open window I had (and the tabs on each window) have been lost. I cannot retrieve them, which I have always been able to do via "Restore previous sessions". There was so much important information on those windows and tabs from way back - too far to shift through the history. Can anyone give me one good reason to stay with Firefox? Thankfully, there are many browsers to now use. Firefox has perhaps just become a habit and one I should have changed a long time ago. Thank you.

I was using TB like normally on windows 11 when it crashed. Now every time i try to open the app it prompts me to send in a crash report, but every time i press "restart thunderbird" a new window with crash report shows up. I have tried writing a comment, checking and unchecking all the boxes and pressing quit thunderbird. But i still get sent into the loop.

I've done it before using ctrl-A and Print and got the date, sender and their address, and the subject line (I think in a csv file). I've since changed from Windows 10 to 11 and can't remember what I printed to. Trying it now and printing to PDF yields only the first entire message, but I don't want the message, I just want the sender (and date).

I had logged this issue in early 2025 but it has never been resolved and still exists.

So, here are the details:

I have the settings set to Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them, which is the setting I have always had and I used to get automatic prompts for updates with a window opening to show the details of the update as I get in Firefox.

Can someone tell me how to get these automatic updates back."

Ask AI isn't optimized for firefox. Query box text isn't cleared after text submission. Also occasionally scrolls to the bottom where I have to scroll back up to read it's response.

Hello, In FF 152.0.5 (aarch64) on macOS 26.5.2, I am noticing that every website that has a checkbox in a form does not work the way it should. The only indication that the box is checked is a slight "highlight" around the edge of the box, nothing actually in the box. See attached screenshot from the USPS website.

Also, the NO checkbox wasn't even visible until I clicked the area next to it. It was just blank.

I've seen this for set-up pages for WordPress plugins and on standard contact forms (using CF7 plugin) where the checkboxes so very little or no interaction to the user at all.

Grant it, I know now what to look for and how to use these. But any standard user is going to be absolutely confused by this unintended (I Hope) browser behavior.

The word Manage is a link to "Cookie Preference Center."

The link opens the "cookie preference centre", but it is fogged out and the expected tool to tailor my preferences (instead of just the 2 accept or reject), and the "Learn More" link are not accessible.

Hello Thunderbird. I have used the product for years across Win95, Win7. I have graphics trouble with Win10 after an update last year. Some times the email text has strange colours and the odd missing character. Opening an attachment always has funny yellow or green chunky background. Zoom +/- cures this. See attachments. The display driver is AMD Radeon graphics. 504MB used. Single screen. The processor is AMD A10-9700 Radeon R7, 10 Compute cores. 8GB RAM The machine is a standard out of the box HP Pavilion PC 570. ON thunderbird no extensions or themes. Hope you can help! Thanks Mike

I'm on Windows 11. After I added some plug-ins and extensions to replace the ones that went missing during your last update, my bookmarks also went missing. (They were there before I replaced the plug-ins and extensions.) I followed your instructions on how to access my bookmark back ups, and found them. However, everytime, I tried to install one of the backups, I ended up with no bookmarks at all in Firefox.

Please help, I have no access to any of my accounts!

On Ununtu 24.04 I did an update and youtube doesn't work on FIrefox 152.0.4. I did an update from the Software updater and videos don't play on youtube any more. I go to youtube, click on a suggested video and it goes to that page and everything shows up except the video window. I have the title and the comments and the row of suggested videos on the right, but no video player and no video. Someone suggested I push the F12 key and look under console and there is an error there, a sourcemap error and that it isn't a valid URL . I don't know what that means. I asked on the AskUbuntu site but they get really far down in the weeds and I have no idea what they are asking or saying. I thought I'd see if you guys might know. thanks

fonts.googleapis.com is locking up websites for 40 to 60 seconds per keystroke. I have researched this problem and tried everything suggested, but nothing works. Much of the solutions include changing the settings used on menus which no longer exist. accounts.google.com is doing the same thing. This is driving me nuts. Help!!! Latest version of Firefox. Windows 11 desktop computer.

Hello, yesterday my 2025 Macbook restarted on it's own and my Firefox browser restarted too, and while it brought me back to all the tabs I had open, every single one of my bookmarks has disappeared. I only have one profile. All my extensions are working properly. The bookmarks sidebar and toolbar are both completely wiped clean. I've tried to go through the backup and restore options provided in this community previously, but going into my library and clicking 'backup' or 'restore' has done nothing. How can I recover my bookmarks? I had been saving small business links for years that are now just gone for seemingly no reason.

When I add sites for exceptions, why isn't this carried with my Firefox account and it shows up in every instance of Firefox when i am signed in? It is a nuisance to keep re-adding them everywhere. Also, when Firefox updates, why do I have to re=enter what I already done. It is a pain.

I have been told to disable my ad-blocker by some commercial web sites and I understand that. I changed ISP's this week and my computer connects via Ethernet cable through my router. I have no real issues accessing the internet. But after waking from sleep or restarting, Firefox displays the network login prompt. How do I get rid of it? Thanks.
