I've been having a problem with FF for the last two weeks. At times downloads accessing web sites are slow or even get hung up. Usually reloading or refreshing the page fixes the problem. I tried a FF safe boot and things seemed to work better. I have had the same four extensions for quite awhile. Are there any reports of UBO causing issues?

Hello,

If the phone is not used for a while, it takes a very long time to open a page in Firefox. The bar immediately goes to about 25% and hangs. When it finally starts, it works. Sometimes it hangs during use, but usually the problem occurs after a long period of inactivity.

What I do know:

  • The problem does not occur with any other browser or application.
  • The problem occurs on different smartphones from different manufacturers running different versions of Android.
  • Deleting and reinstalling Firefox cleanly (without any add-ons) does not help.
  • Same problem over Wi-Fi as over cellular.
  • Turning Firefox off and on again usually does not help.

I installed Waterfox and for a while there was no problem at all. Then it appeared. I noticed that at least in Waterfox, the problem does not occur in private mode.

This is an unresolved issue that has been discussed before. https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1416241

Firefox not loading the second section of a website list

I seem to have an intermittent issue on a laptop with webpages not updating after the initial load if there is more to load.

To give an example, if I go to https://www.milkandmore.co.uk/dairy/c/yoghurt on the laptop, most of the time, it will only display 12 of the 26 items and not show the rest when I scroll down.

Works fine in chrome and edge though and when I scroll down to the 12th item, it loads up the rest every time. It will do so intermittently on firefox.

Hope that's explained alright.

Firefox is up to date. Tried disabling autoscroll and smooth scrolling but no joy.
