I've snooped the Help section but can't find/understand an answer! I have my Composition set to Default, but whenever I forward an HTML email (often a publicity piece) to anyone it places it inline as text, as below. So what should I change to always send the 'pretty' version?

I've been using Thunderbird for over a year now (oh, how I miss Eudora!) and the one continual irritation I have is that if I reply to an email from my inbox (usual), it sends a copy to my inbox. When I send an original message, I have a copy saved to my sent folder on my email provider (Protonmail). I'd like copies of replies saved to the same place. I do NOT want them in my inbox, and the "Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to" box is unchecked.

Just as an aside, occasionally I'll want to see on my phone emails that I've sent from my computer. Of course, I don't have access to Thunderbird from my phone (and pretty sure I don't want it there either).

How do I fix this?

For some reason Thunderbird 115 Supernova has lost the ability to open attached files. The menu that comes up when I ask to open attached files no longer has the appropriate application available, see attached screenshots, how do I fix this?

I am using Ubuntu 22.04 with a Plasma desktop.

We use the Thunderbird Labels (not an add on) to mark the mails "to do", "started by NN" or "get back to customer after offer" etz. After the latest uppgrade (or earlier) mails labeled on one computor does not show on others (IMAP). Do not find any settings in Thunderbird about this (for example on some add ons you have to mark that the changes done on one computor should not be local).

Gratefull for help because this is a great tool when you are more persons working in the same system. Thanks in advance!

Hello, While the display size is correct on my MacBook Pro 2021 screen is OK, it is huge and unusable on my second monitor (see images). My layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is set at 2.5. If I set it at default (-1), the external monitor display is OK, but the internal monitor is so small that it is unreadable (to the extend that it was actually hard to figure out how to revert back to so I moved the window to the external monitor). This is a bug. There should be a setting per monitor or the default should follow the System Preferences setting for all monitors.

Please fix this quickly!

I have an issue whenever i enter a Fullscreen on any video from web my screen goes black and the same thing happens when i exit Fullscreen mode, kinda like an animation and i can't find the solution or the option for it in settings to disable it. I'm new to Mozilla Firefox so if i missed this simple option while exploring, please bare with me. Thank you!

Hi, i'm a new firefox user and I've looked online for the last hour looking for a fix, but nothing. I have 2 monitors and when I click from one to the other or alt + tab, all my tabs become darkened, from white to having faded / being much darker, I'd want to not have that, is there a way?

Example of not darked darkened / faded tabs / darkened:

The netflix, giazo, imdb and youtube tab is not darkened. (not alt tabbed or clicked on second monitor). The other one is darkened, alt tabbed, clicked on second monitor.

I typically download 30 to 40 video files daily of around 5 MB each. The most I can download seems to be 8 files, then I have to select the next 8 to download. Is there a way I can select all 30 files and have them download one at a time in order without having to keep selecting the next file?

Read about using the Project Fission settings in about:config and only needed to change the gfx.webrender.all to True but I don't see the 'F' when hovering over the current tab to prove it's working.

Dubious as to whether this 'built-in' sandbox is as robust as Sandboxie.

Hello, I use ubuntu on my M$ surface go2 tablet, and I wonder, if it's possible to enable video touch control (HTML5 player) on video sites other than youtube, like I have in android or chromeOS. On Android this option works always. On ChromeOS doesn't work in privacy mode (no idea why, there is no addons or extensions, just pure firefox.

I know ther is option in PiP option, but is it possible to use just double tap on screen instead of small buttons? (now double tap turns on and off full screen).

I use firefox as my browser(I like it the best) I have edge on my computer because I upgraded to windows 10. I really dislike microsoft edge. I recently downloaded a couple of pdf's , in the settings it says that firefox opens the pdf. then I click on the pdf and when it opens it has a button that wants me to put edge as the default reader and so I go to the settings on firefox and it says that firefox is the reader tat opens the pdf but their is no way to make firefox my default pdf. it is really frustrating, as I said I really do not like the edge browser. Is there any way that this is fixed? thank you for your help!

Win 10 Pro, Thunderbird 115.5.0, Mail Merge 10.3.0

smtp.comcast.net, Port 465, Normal password, SSL/TLS

Have been using Mail Merge for several years. Comcast e-mail send quota is 1000 messages/day. Mail Merge had been working well with occasional batches of 900+ messages.

Since updating to Thunderbird 115, Thunderbird stops sending e-mails after approximately 11 e-mails. Messages 5-9 kb each, no attachments. Screen shot of error message attached.

Thunderbird will resume sending if I exit Thunderbird, wait for cache to empty, restart Thunderbird WITHOUT the "ask to send unsent e-mails" activated, then use the "Send Unsent E-mails" menu item.

Do you have any idea what may be happening?

In my Firefox settings I have selected "check for updates but let [me] choose to install them" but Firefox automatically installs updates while I'm using it and immediately requires me to restart the browser. All navigation thereafter returns a page saying I have to restart Firefox to continue.

It's incredibly annoying to have to then sign in to all half dozen or more sites that I was already signed in to. I'm going to have to abandon Firefox if this continues.

Is it a security setting my employer configured? I think I have the same problem at home.

One of the most important uses of threading is to significantly reduce the number of line items in a folder. But for some reason Thunderbird is set up to defeat that goal, leaving us with an unnecessarily long list. I can find no description of how to reverse this impractical default of expanding all threads every time I reopen a folder where the threads had previously been collapsed. (I had hoped this problem would finally be fixed in v.115.5.1, but it wasn't.)

How can I get rid of this annoying problem of having to go through and re-collapse each thread individually every time I open a folder? FYI: I am setting up folders individually to thread, not globally.

How do I paste in the game forge of empires chat windows with my mouse and without clipboard, it will only allow me to use clipboard control V for keyboard not my mouse, using my mouse to select all, copy, it's fine, cannot use paste with mouse,

So, I had three windows open in private mode, then the (stupid) software decides to crash (or rather, restart automatically for an update) and I lose all those tabs from those windows (ALTHOUGH NOT MY CHOICE, OR FAULT) then several search results say install PrivateBrowsingHistoryRecovery add on, however the links go nowhere. Surely Mos FuryInducingF_x don't prevent the installation of an add on that might actually make their software better, useful?
