I have been using sync from day one: best thing ever regarding my productivity. AFAIK, credentials get encrypted before sent to the FF cloud, using information derived from my password.

Short version: what happens when I change the Firefox account password?

Long version: I'm thinking of replacing my current password, with a very long one. If I do so, will there a re-upload of my data take place? Will my credentials on the cloud become harder to crack (assume that the new password is longer and more complex).

Hello, I have the most recent firefox update 105.0.1 (64-bit). I'm currently using the desktop / PC version. When I drag my cursor to the left side of any webpage, click and drag upwards, firefox acts like i've pressed the back button! I've been trying to get some work done, which includes clicking and dragging things, so this is incredibly frustrating! I've already turned off browser.gestures in about:config, and now I'm not sure what to do! Please help me! ): This also happens when I click and drag from the left side of the page, to the right side of the page.

Fresh install 102.3.0 on a virgin Windows 10 desktop computer.

For instance I know rec.audio.tech exists, but it does not come up in the subscribe search list when attempting to subscribe. It is present on my laptop version. Half a dozen others (more than half my subs) similarly.

The upgraded-to-102.3.0 version on my laptop does see this and many other newsgroups 'missing' on the fresh PC install.

Exactly the same server, user, ports, etc settings on each.

Appreciate any hints.

I have a set up with two monitors. One 1920x 1080 monitor and one 4k wacom cintique. I have the webbrowser on my 1920x1080 monitor. When I open a window like printing or writing a new message in my mailprogram a pop up windows appears. Often it pop ups in the 4K monitor and it looks normal but with the latest update the window is fine but the content of the ust 1/4 size of the monitor. If I drag the window into the 1920x1080monitor and the back it will get back to normal but it seems like some kind of bug there.

I've taken a number of steps that I've researched ranging from clearing cookies, to resetting firefox, to complete reinstallation of Firefox itself.

I've also ran a full diagnostic with my ISP and determined my router and internet are 100% functional. This just started happening out of nowhere roughly 3-4 days ago.

I have not installed any add ons or turned on any extentions. I've done nothing to customize my browser at all.

When I go to Youtube, either I can't log in or when I am logged in it says I am not connected to the internet. This has never happened to me before.

Please help.

Firefox is crashing instantly on startup on Windows 11 22H2 x64-Architecture.

Things I've tries: Running in troubleshoot mode (Fails because Firefox doesn't even start) Reinstalling (Doesn't help event when doing a complete fresh install, deleting profiles, registry entries, and the program itself) Running windows in safe mode (Does work but I don't want to run in safe mode constantly) Adding a firewall exception (Doesn't work) Add an antivirus exception (Doesn't work)

I'm not getting any error reports or anything in general. I click the icon and it crashes.

Under Windows 10 Home, Firefox x64 opens and closes immediately as a limited user. As the administrator this does NOT happen.

I uninstalled Firefox, deleted the temp files and re-installed a fresh copy of Firefox. The same issue exists. If I try to start in safe mode as a limited user, Firefox does NOT open.

Firefox worked without issue yesterday. Has a Windows Update caused this issue? The computer is new with limited programs installed. It can't be the firewall as running Firefox as administrator has NO issues.

What do you suggest?

When I use WhatsApp Web, if I play a video someone sent to me or in a group, I can't pause the video. Besides that, when the playback reaches the end, it starts playing the video again (in loop). It happens both when opening the video (normal mode) and when using picture-in-picture mode. I've already tried to run FF in Troubleshoot Mode, to see if the culprit was any of the extensions I have, but no, the problem persists. I've also tested it in other browsers (e.g. Edge) and the problem didn't occur, so it doesn't seem to be something related to the website.

FF version is 105.0.1 64-bit, running on Windows 11. But I already had the same problem with earlier FF versions and on Windows 10.

A website I use has support chat that uses gosquare. On my desktop Mac OS FF, it only shows single line of text area no matter how much text I type. My MacBook Air FF works fine (synced and therefore has the same extensions installed). Safari, Chrome, and Brave all shows it properly. It's only the desktop Mac FF that's showing this error.

I've been opening Safari whenever I need to contact support for a while, but it's very cumbersome as FF is my main browser and one that's open all the time.

Hardware acceleration is already off on both desktop and MacBook Air so that's not the issue.

I have no idea how to read the developer codes, but enabled developer tools out of curiosity in console mode. I see bunch of yellow boxes with error messages saying:

Loading failed for the <script> with source "https://data2.gosquared.com/......." and a long line of URL.

The same message appears to be repeating about 5 to 6 times.

What could be causing this error?

Just tried doing the same on the MacBook Air and it's showing the same yellow boxes so I'm not sure even if this is a symptom of the problem.

I'm stumped. If I must, I can use other browser for the support chat feature, but if someone could point me in the right direction to get this resolved, I'd very very grateful.

I just upgraded from Thunderbird 68 to 102, and now it frequently asks me to re-enter my email passwords when I open a folder or send a message - but not every time, just sometimes (several times a day at least). I don't want it to save the passwords (I don't want it to automatically be logged in when I open Thunderbird), but I do want it to stay logged in to a given account once I enter the password, like my old installation of Thunderbird did. I believe this is only happening for accounts that use "normal password" authentication (not the accounts that use OAuth2). I have the settings configured to always accept cookies and to keep them until I close Thunderbird, so I guess that's not the relevant setting. Any ideas what I should change to fix this?

I am scripting the creation of e-mails using the command line

-compose ...

and now trying to incorporate embedding certain images. I created a routine to encode the images in base64 and build the proper HTML img tag to include in the 'body' argument.

It works flawlessly for png and jpg images, but bombs for bmp, tiff, gif, ... and am trying to understand why. Is this a limitation of the command line? Is there something I've missed in the documentation somewhere?

I've validated with online source that the output HTML is accurate. I've even saved the output as an HTML file and it renders just fine in any web browser, it is just the 'thunderbird -compose -body ...' that can't seem to handle it.

I am running the latest version of Thunderbird (installed a fresh copy today).

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear it.
