I finally updated my iMac to Big Sur (11.7.4). Thunderbird (102.9.0) "works" OK, but the inbox message list is, like, invisible. That is, the list is there, but it cannot be seen. I can click on any line of the invisible list, and that message is called up in the message pane, like normal. This makes it very hard to find any particular past email -- I've got to click on each line of the invisible inbox message list, one after the other, just to see what it is. Any fix for this? Thanks!

BTW, the sent mail message list shows up like normal.

On the Firefox mobile app, when I look at the screen with open page thumbnails, they are blank. And when I tap one of them, I only get a blank page. iPhone SE 2nd gen., iOS 16.3.1

When I try to send email from Thunderbird, it gives "Sending of Message Failed" error. I'm running Windows 7 with Thunderbird 102.9.0 32bit. I tried with a gmail.com and a hotmail.com address, but it gives the same error.

On Windows, I have an Admin account and a User Account. I can login to the Admin account and it'll work fine. It's just a specific Windows user where I have the issue. I tried reinstalling Thunderbird, deleting %APPDATA%/Local/Thunderbird and %APPDATA%/Roaming/Thunderbird, but the issue persists.

Any ideas?

Hello, Using Thunderbird (v102.9.0). Using Tools > Export. Says if profile is more than 2gb do not use. I ran it and it produced a zip file of 2.9GB but no warning or error message. Should it produce a warning/error message?

Recently converted to Firefox.

I routinely receive images from one sender that has a banner that renders two to three times the screen width no matter the screen size.

This issue doesn't occur on the Gmail Mobile app only while viewing Gmail on Firefox (The issue is not resident in Chrome).

I have having alot of trouble. I am unable to get Netflix to work in Normal mode of firefox. It will work in trouble shoot but not in reg mode. The page will not load all the way and than it locks up . I have done every suggestion that i have found and yet it still will not load and work. I have been trying to fix this problem for a week now. I have uninstalled and re installed 3 times now. and yet it still will not work. I have now gone to Edge to watch Netflix.

Cannot enter URL in the address book. When I hit return nothing happens. This happens even with no extensions installed, however, it works in a private window.

Any advice?

Thunderbird is displaying multiple incorrect emails in the body of 1 specific email message. Here are screenshots showing a different body and sender than the sender and subject listed. (Followed by a screenshot of this email displaying normally in webmail.)

I have successfully used thunderbird for years, but cannot add my gmail account. I read the google and TB docs. I have tried this several times. I must be doing something wrong, but not clear to me…

First, I did gmail steps:

1) log into gmail using gmail.com email address and gmail password 2) click on Setting “gear” in upper right 3) click on “see all settings” 4) click on “forwarding and pop/imap” tab 5) verify that “enable imap” is checked. Says “status: imap is enabled”

Then, I did thunderbird steps:

6) clear error log. click File / New / Existing Mail Account 7) enter 3 items: my name, full gmail.com email address, and gmail password 8) check “remember password” 9) click “continue” 10) TB says “configuration found in mozilla isp database” 11) IMAP option already checked 12) click blue “done” button

Then, there were some google popups:

13) in google popup, gmail address already entered, clicked “next” 14) next popup, enter same gmail password from step 1, click “sign in” 15) receive phone call for google 2-step verification and enter code 16) next popup says “mozilla thunderbird email wants to access …” 17) popup has 3 items: email, contacts, and calendar. click “allow”

Finally, back at thunderbird, it says in a yellow box: “Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password”. So fails to work.

I accessed settings / privacy / passwords / saved passwords. The list is empty. "Use a primary password" is not checked.

Every now and then many sites are not supported properly.... And it severely gives now headache....

Thinking to switch to New Web Browser....

Problematic Sites are tons of tons... Here are a few...

1. pCloud 2. Mega 3. Digiboxx 4. OrgPad 5. PhotoADKing 6. Animaker 7. Powtoon 8. SBI ....etc.

Please somebody help reach this message to original developers and not community... I'm fed up of this.

Many developers also fed up of Mozilla... and stay away from updating add-ons or extensions... I literally felt helpless many times...

In TB 102.9 after clicking on the name of a contact and viewing the info on that contact's card, I can't return to the list of all contacts in my address book. How can I do that? Please see the screenshots attached. The first shows part of the list in my address book. The second screenshot shows an individual contact card covering the list of names in the address book. How to leave that individual contact card and returning to the list of contacts has eluded me. Thanks for helping me learn how to do that.

Since the days of Go Corp.'s PenPoint and Windows for Pen Computing, I have been accustomed to select text by just dragging the stylus --- that no longer works --- for some reason the stylus has now been dumbed down to be an 11th touch input which scrolls.

Why?

How can I get back the far more expressive behavour of drag-select text with a stylus and using touch when I wish to scroll?

As an FYI, I handed a stylus and my Samsung Galaxy Book 12 (running Windows Build 1703 which predates this change) to a technician at the local Best Buy and they had no problem selecting text --- when I challenged them to select text on a Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 running Windows 11 using the stylus they were unable to to.

Could we please have an option to restore the traditional behaviour?

Settings | Bluetooth & Devices | Pen & Windows Ink | Additional Pen Settings | Let me use my pen as a mouse when it's available

doesn't seem to work when it is enabled.

This release changes the function of the 'wheel' on a mouse.

Instead of scrolling up & down a page, it now 'zooms' in and out.

Is this deliberate? Or, is it a bug?

I have not been able to log into www.mycigna.com account for the past week or so. I use DuckDuckGo as the search engine and never had this problem logging into my account before using Firefox. For the past week I have been getting this message when I submit my log in data - We're sorry but myCigna is unavailable at this time. Please contact our customer service for assistance. So, I called them today and spoke with a tech. I told him I used Firefox and DuckDuckGo and he advised me that others have had that problem using ddg as a search engine. He asked me to try to log in using a different browser and I was able to log in and access my account using Edge. So, I tried Firefox again after changing the search engine to Edge and still wasn't able to log in. Do you guys have any idea why I can't log in using Firefox anymore, or should I just continue to use Edge for that particular website? If you can help, please let me know. Thanks Larry

I recorded USB webcam pictures with MJPG_streamer and converted them to mp4 using

  ffmeg -r 20 -pattern_type glob -i "*.jpg" -c:v libx264 test.mp4

Firefox complains "video can't be played because the file is corrupt" Google Chrome and VLC have no problems playing the file.

What options for ffmpeg do I need to create the mp4 files so that firefox can play them?
