This afternoon, I clicked on a link from an email and for the first time got a choose a profile pop-up. I do not want this; I have read info on Mozilla and elsewhere about its purpose but it doesn't say how to just stop the pop-up - there should be an option just stop the pop-up because I don;t want to have to choose amongst options. I have started copy-pasting the links in emails and going to Chrome and will seriously have to reconsider using Firefox of this continues. I don't want to have to type about:config or anything - this should have been an opt out or opt in thing and I want out. Thank you for your help.

My "Email Link" suddenly quit working about a week ago. I use this every day and often. I have made no changes nor am aware of any other. Online I see many people have this problem and in different browsers. Suggestions I see are irrelevant or beyond my understanding even though I am an experienced user, but no pocket protectors. Also since I got Windows 11/new computer over a month ago, some pages take forever to load. I see all kinds of computer handshakes, looking up, google this-that and so on in the bottom left corner above the Windows icon. Have never seen that stuff before. Is this a clue re: my "Email Link" problem?
Help would be much appreciated.

Ever since the last update or so (I'm currently on 145.0.2), simply opening a YouTube tab is enough to bring my browser to halt. Looking at the activity monitor on my Mac shows "FirefoxCP Isolated Web Content" using an insane amount of resources, multiple instances of 101% load on my late 2023 MacBook Pro (M3 chip).
Any ideas?

I recently upgraded my older PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Thunderbird worked fine for a few days following the upgrade, but when I went into it today, all the local folders were gone. 4GB worth of e-mails. Good thing I backed up four days ago, so I haven't lost much.
I have searched through the help given earlier for a similar problem, but can't seem to still get Thunderbird to work properly. Furthermore, Thunderbird won't import the backed-up data. I also can't get the menu bar to show along the top. What all am I doing wrong?

This needs to be changed ASAP! I need to make replies to urgent emails quickly! I shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes for Thunderbird to check for new emails or for me to keep pressing check for new emails. Gmail and FairEmail get my new emails straight away!! Thunderbird Android takes ages
Please change and fetch new emails ASAP! I love Thunderbird and have used Thunderbird since it was first released! But Gmail and FairEmail I use because of this issue! Look at my screenshot! 15 minutes is a joke!!

Just installed Thunderbird on a new laptop running Windows 11. Accounts are set up and I can see all the emails in my inbox. They are in the Table View. My problem is that I can not view the contents of the email. I used to be able to click/highlight a message and its contents would be displayed below the list of emails. I am unable get this view. Hello I have an issue going on with the autofill info that I use. When I type my name, my 1st name comes out fine but when I type my last name it's now a misspelled last name. Seems like it all started with a new banking company that I'm with now. I 1st notice it there and I had to fill out forms to correct the info with them and it was kind of a hassle. I noticed that there was one extra letter added to my last name when I looking at my account info. Maybe when I was initially filling out my personal info with them, I might have spelled my last name incorrectly. I'm not sure. Sometimes I type words wrong. I'm not the greatest at typing. But since then I've noticed my auto fill info, my last name, has been bringing up that same incorrect last name. How can I fix that. I see solutions for editing addresses and passwords but nothing about names, personal info. Anybody know how I can fix this. It has become a nuisance. Thank you ahead of time.

I'm dealing with a properly updated 'bird: 140.5.0 (32-bit) running on an equally updated Windows 10 desktop. First thing this morning, out of nowhere, I started getting an "unable to write the email to the mailbox..." message when sending, thus I could send but not save. And then I realized I wasn't receiving either, on all three accounts in my Thunderbird. I stopped everything and focused on trying to fix this. It's been an all-day, losing effort. So far.
I tried the various quick checks and fixes recommended here and there: I'm running the program as an administrator. I restarted the program. I rebooted the computer. I think I have enough disk space, but to be sure I deleted some bloat from possibly overly large files. I compacted, even though the program is configured to do that regularly. I temporarily disabled my antivirus program. I went into my webmail and deleted all messages that have arrived since my Thunderbird stopped receiving, in case one of them was corrupted. And probably some other attempts as well. Nothing has helped.
And now a second, even worse issue has fallen from the sky. Thunderbird opens. The folder list is where it always has been. The number of unopened messages in each folder is there in boldface, as always, but...the folders are all blank and I get the dreaded popup: "unable to open the summary file...." Have I lost my years' worth of carefully curated emails?
I've tried folder repair. I've deleted parent.lock. Etc. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
I will be super-grateful for any wisdom sent my way.

I use the NFC on my phone in order to tap onto a bracelet that gives me a daily scripture. It was working but the past few weeks it either doesn't download, is super slow and only may or may not load the whole thing. Once I uninstall and reinstall the app on my phone it works great. Sometimes it may work a day or even up to 3 days, but lately I'm having to uninstall and reinstall daily. Then I have to customize everything again. It is the same with webpages loading also. I clean the cache regularly and I've checked my internet connection and it's fine. Hopefully, this issue can be resolved. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A52. This is only happening on the phone and although I can't use the bracelet on my laptop, I don't have any issues with Firefox. Should you need any additional information please let me know.
All of a sudden, Thunderbird will not finish the process of creating a new subfolder. How fix?
