Get this error message I think since the update on September 2nd. See below

Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. Also, I downloads a few old emails from September 2. If I delete them, they re-download when I click on get mail. I do get mail on my phone and on the Xfinity web site. I really would like to get this fixed as soon as I can. Thanks, William Dudzinski - <redacted>@comcast.net - <redacted>

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have lost all stored folders with my email correspondence from the Local Folders for an unknown reason (I restarted my computer, and they disappeared). I can find some of these emails using the search option, but I cannot see the path of their storage location. I have checked my Profile/Mail/Local Folders, but they are not there. Are they stored on the server? How can I recover these folders?

Thank you very much in advance,

Jasmina

My hard disk is again almost full. And it is primarily Thunderbird bloated folders.

In the MAC hard-disk, size of the many of the folders stored in local directory, are much larger that the size on TB.

For reference, On TB, "_cc folder" is 2.0 GB On Mac Finder, "_cc folder" is 13.63 GB

I have right-click the folder and press "compact". The folder on TB reduces in size. But, the folder on the Mac harddrive does not reduce in size.

Thunderbird 115.4.1 (64-bit) on macOS 26.1 Server Type : POP Mail Server

Appreciate help to get this fixed.

I am using a Chromebook, Lenovo Duet 9, 11 inch screen. When composing an email, if I click on insert link to hyperlink a portion of my text, or choose the color of font from the toolbar, or insert an image or any other feature that requires a popup window, the popup window has to be dragged by clicking on it in order to see what is in the window. Depending on what I click the popup box has different sizes but all of them have to be clicked on and dragged out to see what is in the box. See screenshots attached. How do I fix this?

I'm using the latest Thunderbird on Fedora 43, fully updated. Suddenly, Thunderbird is telling me that I have messages in my inbox, even though none show. If I receive an email, read it an delete it, the number of phantom messages increases. Compacting the inbox (or all mail boxes) has no effect on this. Any suggestions?

What does the icon that shows (for a while) against the SUBJECT line of messages indicate?

After some time, or perhaps following my general activity within the application or some other trigger, it seems to disappear for reasons I have yet to understand.

I attach a screen clip showing four of these icons ("2025 - STILL TO REVIEW" is one of my user-created folder names.)

Secondly, is the answer to the above question available already in online help for Thunderbird? If so, and since I haven't found it yet, I would be grateful to be pointed towards the relevant article. As a new user, I expect it would tell me other things that will be useful for me to learn!

I am using version 146.0.1 (64-bit).

We have two accounts. One has TWO sent folders. One says "Sent", one says and one says "Sent Items". We need to have one eliminated. One never shows ANY sent messages, one will show a sent email, but has "lost" most of the ones from earlier. This is more than annoying. We got a nice response earlier from one the community helpers, but it did not work at all. Anyone else care to give it a go. We have version 146.0.1 Again, many thanks

I am using 140.6.0esr (64-bit) and Windows 10. My Inbox disappeared. I was in it with no problems. Then I noticed two problems. I couldn't open new emails. It said connecting to server or loading content but email was blank. Also when I sent an email it could not copy to my sent folder due to network or file access errors. I could open and read all the other emails in my Inbox, just not three new ones. So I selected Inbox properties and repair. After the repair, my inbox is completely empty. It had thousands of messages. When I do a search for common emails I know were in my inbox, it only shows emails from subfolders. When I go to Inbox properties, it says number of messages: 0

Is there any chance I could talk with someone? Or that someone would call me? I'm not experienced in Thunderbird or email settings. And I don't like having to do it online. Richard Higgins Concord Mass

However with a new account and signature, the similar code refuses to show the graphic, which is clearly uploaded to the correct folder. I even try different folders and the graphic never shows up. I so not see anything wrong with this code - do you?

Good day all,

I had some old emails stored in a Local folder.

While I could see the the header information shows up in the view panel (from address, subject, date, etc), I could NOT see the contents of the email (the preview window is entirely blank), and attempting to copy the email failed.

I completed the 1st Repair detailed in this link as it seemed to be the exact same issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1515421

When It was completed, all except four of the old emails disappeared. The four remaining files can be opened & read (so the repair worked on those four).

Examining the Inbox mbox file as explained in Repair #2 (link above) showed only the data for the four remaining files.

My question - does anyone know of a way to 1) restore the emails that vanished?, and 2) after restoring the emails that vanished, how to be able to read them?

I have a back-up of the entire profile that was made before the repair - so I can pull specific files from that back-up and "start over" if need be.

Thx!

Hello Thunderbird community,

I’ve been exploring Thunderbird’s integration options and noticed that while email sync with Outlook accounts works fine, calendar and contact synchronization with Outlook/Exchange Online is currently unavailable.

This is a significant limitation for users who rely on Outlook’s ecosystem for scheduling and address book management. I’d like to ask:

Is there an official roadmap for when Outlook calendar sync will be supported in Thunderbird?

Will Outlook contacts sync be added at the same time, or as a separate feature?

I believe many users would benefit from clarity on this, since full Outlook integration is critical for those working in Microsoft-centric environments.

Thanks in advance to the Thunderbird team and volunteers for any updates or guidance.

I have 21 filters set up in Thunderbird (originally on the Mac, now on Windows). This is for an IMAP account.

Most of the filters are simple, one match, mark message as read, move to a folder. A few have multiple matches, but the same mark read and move to folder steps.

Some filters work fine, some do not work at all. The ones that are not working are the simple single match ones. There's nothing in the filter log showing what the issue might be. The filter in question doesn't show up.

What can I do to track down what the issue might be?

Thanks.
