I have 3 e-mail accounts and the third one I added is the one I set as default. For some reason the first two show together in the unified folder, but the third is separate on it's own. How do I get all three in the unified folder?

New Laptop. Windows 11. Bitdefender protection. Installed Thunderbird and a first gmail account on new Laptop, all OK. Attempting to instal a second, different gmail account I get the following message from Google:

"400. That’s an error.  The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know." 

No problem having installing the 2nd gmail account in my internet browser on new laptop after continued failures to instal in Thunderbird. NB I have both gmail accounts previously (and easily) installed and working in Thunderbird on PC, old laptop, phone. Issue does not make sense. Does anyone have a solution please.

Hi, I am trying to use Filelink to send a large file. I selected WebDAV and am trying to log in there on Mozilla's Composition screen. Under Private URL it wants me to enter my username and password. I entered my email address and password but error message says account not properly configured, What am i supposed to do?

Hello all!

According to the article [Firefox Profiles] there is supposed to be a way to manage profiles through the account icon. I do not have that option on my build 140 with windows 11.

I created profiles using the about:profiles command; however, they seem to want to be separate accounts, not profiles.

I want help to achieve the functionality as described in the article so I can stop using Edge because I need to keep my work/personal/school accounts separate.

I received an email at an email account I don't use for my Mozilla Firefox, thus why seems suspicious and strange to me. So I researched it here and saw the answer to another persons same question. I did go and check, I am logged in. Firefox is my primary and I use it constantly. Also on my phone and tablet, same account. As I write this, I have about 15 tabs open and active. The email associated to my account is not the same as the one I got this email at. The email I got it in, I use for solicitation, signing up for things and things I don't trust. This is what the email stated (same info as what was posted by the other person that got this same post) I copied and paste vs. Screen shot... so the Mozilla logo didn't show up. Hello, I tried following the steps on [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/.../moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer]. However, I currently have a flatpak installation where I land in a folder which also has executable among other files (?). I do not see the usually named profile folder and therefore cannot copy it to my new computer. Do you know how I can move in this case? Thanks

I received an email saying that I had to sign in in order to keep my account. I did not click on the link provided since I thought it might be a scam. Was this a valid email? If so, is signing in now meet the requirement to keep my account?

Is there a way to preempt the initial download when connecting an IMAP account initially?

Presuming you plan to make "Keep messages in all folders for this account..." UNchecked, I've found I can only go into settings as soon as possible after connecting the IMAP account to cut off the automatic start of downloads for local email copies. I then search for the email files locally (am configured for maildir) and manually delete.

Not the end of the world, but seems a bit janky. Is there a way you're supposed to be able to set synchronization settings BEFORE Tb starts syncing?

Hi, When installing my Yahoo account in F-bird, I chose the option to keep copies of the messages on the server when downloading them to my local folders. But all my message folders on the yahoo server appear to be empty after I copied them to my local folders. Can this be undone? I'm using other email programs on my mobiles and it's crucial for me that I can access all my folders from mobile and desktop devices. Is there a way to keep them on the yahoo server AND have them synchronized with my local folders? Your help is very much appreciated! Kind regards, Pat

Problem:

You remove an account like Google from Thunderbird, but Thunderbird continues to repeatedly show a pop-up to log into that account (in my case Google). I've noticed it even freezes the Thunderbird UI on startup.

Note: I'm self-answering this question. Mozilla Support has similar questions, but they're archived with incomplete answers. By archiving them, Mozilla is preventing the community from improving the solutions on those problems.

I need to delete my account to Firefox I have 4 viruses and I need to get fire fox off because that’s what’s making it happen I think I got a email from Apple iPhone and that’s what they told me so I need to delete my account today please help me

I thought Thunderbird was free to use. It's asking me to donate and I can't access my current emails from my account. If this is free than why on earth do I HAVE to donate to get access to my emails. That is not right. Please help me.

Hiya! The email I used to make this account is my work email, since I only use this account when I'm at my job so I can have my necessary bookmarks at all times. We recently updated our emails at work to have a different address, so its now it's different. I can't change this manually, so here I am. The current email this account is listed under now will be deleted in about two years time, so I'd like to get ahead of that.
