As email threads become lengthy they become unreadable. The older emails turn into displaying one character per line. Is this a bug or something fixable on my end?

This is an odd one I've not encountered before. I have TB installed on 2 laptops at home. They are up-to-date with 128.6.0 installed, and both are using the same wi-fi system.

All of a sudden a few days ago, TB on one of the laptops, but not the other, became noticeably slow in deleting messages. It now takes a few seconds for what before always happened instantly (and still does on the other laptop).

Not the end of the world but it's annoying and I'm hoping there's an easy fix.

My green "New Message" button has stopped working for some reason. I've tried switching it off then back on but it still won't work. so at the moment I can't create new emails. Regards William

Hi to all ! On a MacBook Pro under Sequoia 15.3.1 whenever I launch T'bd (128.8.0esr) it opens but accepts no command and the message screen is empty. The CPU usage is about 25%. Nothing else of importance runs on the computer. The same happens sometimes in the middle of a session. I removed Norton 360 just in case: no help. I could not correlate this behavior with any change I or the software updates did (it worked perfectly well until ~end 24). When I wait (15-30 min) and the messages finally appear. I tried killing an relaunching T'bd but it does not make much of a difference. Would someone have an idea where I could search to solve that? Thanks in advance for any help. Max.

I have two installations of Thunderbird on two different computers 2 different locations, both are new installations. Both are on Windows 11. The one at home, works perfect, the one in my second home too except the unified toolbar is unresponsive, whatever I click there it doesn't respond, The X doesn't close the program, the - doesn't minimize anything, just nothing happens, any advise?

Comment, not a question. My now obsolete laptop ran Ubuntu 14 and its now 15 year old Thunderbird. Worked wonderfully well. My current laptop running Ubuntu 22 and Thunderbird 128.12.0 has driven me nuts since I got it. Slower than a snail loading. Confusing layout and function trying to group related messages into threads. I DO NOT LIKE IT.

I understand many of your customers might love the current Thunderbird for what they do with it. Can you somehow make available the older version of Thunderbird without all the fancy updates?

a black box appears over the search box when mouse is moved over the tab. Tried in safe and troubleshoot mode. Box still appears only in white I did find an answer previously but reinstalled firefox and the fix was lost. Problem resolved.

This new version of firefox. I am experiencing icons grey out whenever I opened a new tab. Is anyone experiencing this below?

A bug perhaps:- If I highlight various messages at once (I use shift and arrow) and then I press delete. When i subsequently navigate to any other message I can't read it, instead I see this message until I quit and reload Thunderbird: We're sorry, but we can't display this conversation, because the messages have been moved or deleted. Has anyone else noticed this and, better still, do you know how to work around it. I'm using Unified Folders by the way, in case that's relevant.

When I first open K9Mail 16.0 or after scrolling to the top of the message list, the message does not disappear from the list after I open a message, select move, and choose a folder. The message will no longer be clickable after I do this. However, it will remain displaying in the list until I start scrolling the message list, at which point the list updates and removes the moved message.

Please fix this bug.

I can't add any email accounts in ThunderBird. The window keeps loading. Trying to uninstall and reinstall didn't help. It doesn't work on other devices either.

I tried to install the mailbox on another computer and the email configurator opened—I managed to add one account in this window, but when I tried to add another one, it didn't work like it does on other devices.

Downloading the latest version 143.0.

Long-term Thunderbird user and in the past couple of months Thunderbird on my PC on connecting to my mail server goes to a time out (about a minute?) before then downloading new messages. Connecting from my laptop is instant.

The PC - which is relatively new - performs well otherwise.

Checked settings on both and they are identical, save for the laptop.being 64-bit and the PC 32-bit versions.

Any ideas for me to try?

It went away for a while but now it is back. When I select the text it usually (but not always) resolves. However it is a pain to keep stopping to do that.

I've tried the existing fixes but they either don't work or stop working after applied.

Thunderbird performs a compaction. When it is finished the blue progress line is still showing on the bottom right hand side of the window.

You can select any folder and any view condition (read, all, tags etc) and no emails are shown anywhere.

• Restarting Thunderbird fixes the problem with no errors.
• This has happened a lot of times now and is consistent.
• If you force a compaction the problem does not occur.

Update: Usually, in frustration, I restart Thunderbird to fix the problem. This time, whilst typing this forum question, the problem resolved itself. I guess about ten minutes elapsed before the application righted itself. I will watch for the next incident and see what other information can be observed.

Is anyone else having this bug? I'm reading through my mails and I delete one or multiple mails and then the entire box disappears and says "No Message Found." Then, I have to click on the account and then back to Inbox to see the mails again? This has been happening on the last two builds on TB??

And then I get the disk space error...even though there is almost 3T of space??

OK, I noticed my Sent mail folder has a file size of > 3 GB (3,224,360,399 bytes) Probably why it is not being read How can I reduce the size of this file (without being able to open it in Thunderbird)?

Have been having an issue for the past month or two where if left in the background firefox will slowly start to eat up my available ram. I was using it like this perfectly fine for years previous to now.

I dont have this issue when I'm actively using it, only when I tab away from it and specifically its not on screen. Once I tab back to firefox the ram usage immediately dips back down to normal. I have tried many things to try and solve this like doing a clean install of firefox, getting rid of extensions, clearing my browser cache, closing all other apps to verify it was just firefox, clearing my history, turning on hardware acceleration. Nothing seems to help, im really at a loss and I don't understand what changed besides it being updated in the past couple of months.

My computer is fairly heavy duty and I have 16gb of ddr4 ram that again was working perfectly fine to run firefox before these past couple of months. As a result of this issue however if left in the background for too long on accident firefox uses up all my idle ram and starts causing other programs to not be able to run and has even crashed my computer previously when trying to run a program like clip studio paint.

I have noticed that while running the firefox task manager there is definitely some difference in memory usage when i tab back in after letting it be in the background so I have attached screenshots of the regular usage while tabbed in and the captured usage when i tab back in.

Any possible solution is welcome because I really enjoy using firefox and i dont want to have to switch browsers unless absolutely necessary.

How can I get Firefox Focus app on my Home Screen to open? For two or three days now, after entering my passcode, rather than going to Firefox Focus, takes me to Google. I have played a competitive game app I have on Firefox Focus for years. Suddenly I can no longer access it directly through Firefox Focus. Image below is what appears when I go to Firefox Focus and enter my password. The main game I play opens in Google rather than Firefox Focus.

Inbox displays nothing except a few emails from years ago. Troubleshooting mode shows a correct inbox. Returning from troubleshooting mode reverts to the incorrect inbox. Selecting Reset Controls while in troubleshooting mode corrected the issue.
