Hello.

Please help me with the following, highly annoying issue. I just changed laptops and signed in to Firefox with my Mozilla account on the new device. Unfortunately the bookmarks and passwords were not updated so I can't see them.

I thought I'll sync the windows app with the android app that I have on my phone and where I have and can see all the saved passwords.

I followed the instructions on how to connect another device that say to open the Android app, go to syncing and tap the ready to scan button to read the QR code. The problem: there is no Tap Ready To Scan button on my phone! I looked for it everywhere and it just isn't there. Please see the attached images.

All I want is to import the passwords and bookmarks from my phone to my laptop. Please help me.

I've tried disabling it with the secret menu and it makes no difference. Seeing as Mozilla don't give a singular toss about the needs of their neurodivergent users I want to install an old version of firefox for android with a version of the UI that doesn't make me want to self harm. I know how to disable android updates but not install an old version safely. How do I do this?

Attached a screenshot of the new UI. As an aside if anyone can recommend the drugs that the people who designed and approved this ugly tosh are on I'd love to know what they are, must be good stuff for them all to make decisions this asinine.

Hello, I noticed that the Firefox Android app does not have a lock feature as the Google Chrome Android app does for private/incognito browsing. I feel as though this is a very useful feature that secures the icongnito tab in the google app so that I could leave the app and no one would be able to access the tabs other then me due to it requiring a fingerprint to open. Firefox seems like a good android app, I just wish that it had this feature.

We still use some Dell 13g servers equipped with idrac 8. When I'm trying to launch the virtual Console the window opens up but nothing shows. This used to work fine in previous versions of Firefox. I can't tell from which version it stopped but it's not long ago. Also idrac 9 console works fine in Firefox When trying to open console idrac 8 in Chrome it works fine Any idea what could be causing it? Any config switch to tweak?

I changed on my desktop system from classic Firefox (Rapid channel) to the Firefox ESR-version. And now I search a firefox ESR-version for my Android-smartphone.

--> Does also an ESR-version exist for Andoird like for desktop systems?

This hang is not consistent. I have been switching back and forth to get details for this thread with no issue. But very frequently when I have switched away from Firefox to another app and then returned to Firefox the app has completely frozen. I can see everything clearly but can do nothing at all (neither the web page or Firefox). I haven't yet identified a pattern.

132.0.2 has Relay and CashRewards installed. 133.0b8 is vanilla.

I'm using gesture controls on HyperOS to switch apps.

No issues with any other apps.

Is this where I report such things?

Hello All, For some unknown reason, the browsers available on Play Store for Nvidia Shield are crap - so far I've not found any that allow me to easily sync bookmarks etc between Shield/PC/Mobile.

I therefore tested and found Opera and Vivaldi sideloaded to my Nvidia Shield TV Pro both worked perfectly.

I wanted to use test Firefox as I was about to use this as my main preferred PC/mobile browser, but first I wanted to check it all worked OK.

I was able to sideload and set up Firefox, but as soon as I open a webpage the Controller stopped working.

How can this be fixed please?

Please don't suggest a browser that's intended for AndroidTV on the Shield Play Store - they are all crap due to the reasons I mentioned, the controller with Right Joysick acting as mouse pounter works perfectly on Opera and Vivaldi, so I don't understand why this it doesn't work on Firefox.

I hope this can be fixed/resolved as I would like to use Firefox as an alternative.

Yes i tapped sync and on my mac's firefox, the android device is not even shown .. i can see my windows firefox there and see open tabs from there but not from android

why doens't android firefox sync ?

Windows 10 pc can not start,I have gone through automatic repair and diagnostics steps,but am now on advamced options and think I need to Reset it.This will lose Firefox.When I install it again will I be able to sign into my Firefox account to retrieve bookmarks and passwords?I am very nervous about this,don't even know how to install Firefox,as someone gave me the computer and it was already in there. I have added (as a start) some web shortcuts to my Firefox Focus home screen. However, they are cut off, so I can only see the top part of the label. I can work out what they are but what happens when I add more shortcuts? How can I see the whole shortcut and label, please? I'm using Android version 14.

Where is the option to do this? I only see the general "Delete browsing data" in Settings, and it does not let me select cookies for specific websites.

If this option was not included in Firefox for Android, why??

Hi, Firefox Mobile doesn't launch Teams app when I press 'Join meeting', nothing happens. 'Get Teams' works. 'Open links in apps' are enabled in Settings. If I share the link to Chrome it works fine.

Hello, after updating the mobile Firefox to version 135, I encountered a problem. When I start speeding up video playback on YouTube, a clicking sound regularly appears, as if it’s a micro-stutter in the audio. I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, and the issue persists even on a clean browser with no extensions. A similar issue also exists in the beta version of Firefox 136 and the nightly version 137, which I installed for testing without making any changes. I have tried to solve this problem by using AI,but I have followed the steps given by Deepseek, I have made sure my device are support HEVC and AVC hardware decoding (Snapdragon 870), I also tried to switch my UA to Safari 18, MacOS X, it couldn't help either,but I do the same steps on Edge Canary it works. I had been using firefox as the standard browser for years, but since the DNS-over-HTTPS feature I have had trouble with protecting my family on the web via DNS filtering. Currently the only solution that has worked is to use a different browser (the Spin browser, for whoever is interested). I have Firefox blocked using the Android family link feature (and they can't install new apps without permission). Personally, I would love to move everyone back to Firefox, but I can't find a way to do it safely. Is there a way to effectively disable DNS-over-HTTPS such that it can't be changed (kids are pretty quick at figuring out that they can just go to the settings and figuring out that they can turn the feautre back on). A parental control feature would be ideal, so I can just set the DNS-over-HTTPS to use the family DNS filter in a way they can't turn it off. Does anyone have an helpful solution, or is Firefox dead for family protection?

Hi, I want to disable the "Thought-provoking stories" shortcuts from the home / new tab page on Android.

Following the other forum posts and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hide-pocket-recommendations-firefox there should be a switch for "Thought-provoking stories" under Settings - Homepage - Shortcuts, but I don't see it. What can I do? Thank you for your help.

Hello everyone, my name is Francesco and I have a big problem that I can't solve in any way! I just can’t seem to solve a synchronization issue between two Firefox 135.0.1 (64-bit) installations on a Laptop and a PC (both running Linux Mint 22) and a Firefox 135.0.1 (Build #2016074239) on Android. Can someone please help me? I'm desperate!

Let’s start from the beginning: For a very long time, every time I connected to the internet with Firefox on my Laptop or mobile, my bookmarks would get completely messed up: folders duplicated endlessly, some empty, others identical to the original ones. The same happened with the bookmarks themselves: separators almost all moved to the bottom and multiple duplicates of my countless bookmarks.

After several failed attempts following posts from other users who had the same or a similar problem, as well as some Firefox support how-tos, I decided to try a different approach, which was also described in a post.

First, after logging out of my account on all three devices, I backed up my bookmarks from my PC in different formats (.html, .json), and after closing Firefox, I also backed up the cookies.sqlite, favicons.sqlite, and places.sqlite files—just in case! Then, I deleted all folders and bookmarks from the other two devices.

I then spent the whole afternoon cleaning up my bookmarks on the PC: removing duplicates and redundant folders, organizing separators and bookmarks the way I wanted, and making new backups as mentioned above. After that, I logged into my account from my mobile, triggered a sync from there, then logged into the other devices and started the synchronization on them as well.

But it didn’t work. 😞

PC and Laptop synced beautifully, everything was perfect, but the mobile, despite showing that it was syncing, remained empty—and still is.

I tried several forced sync methods as suggested in some Firefox how-tos (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1482205 and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-set-firefox-sync-firefox-android), and I also followed procedures from other posts where users had similar issues, but nothing worked.

I even tried different approaches: logging out and back in first with my PC, then with my mobile; replacing all bookmarks with the ones I had exported in good condition; checking if there was a new update on Google Play. But my mobile remains completely empty—no bookmarks at all.

So, after more than four hours of trial and error, I'm losing my mind 🤯, and I’m also getting seriously exhausted (it’s now 2 AM, and I’ve been up since 5 AM!).

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? A plugin? A folder on the mobile where I can manually place the saved files? Maybe a well-aimed hammer strike in a specific spot on the phone? Anything? At this point, even just a good joke might help me get through the frustration. 😜

Now, I just hope I can get some sleep—I’m so stressed that… 😭
