I want to change the line spacing in my emails to single line including paragraph spacing. Advice given in previous posts says to select Menu then Options. I have clicked on the 3 bar Menu icon and Options is not there. I clicked on Tools in the Menu Bar and Options is not there either. I apparently have to get to Composition, but cannot find a way of getting there.

Old computer: Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit Thunderbird 115.10.0 32-bit (Don't know why it's 32-bit version on a 64-bit computer or whether that's relevant)

The Profiles folder is here (with 5 profiles): C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles

The new computer is Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit I just installed Thunderbird (V115.10.0 (64-bit) on the new computer.

On the new computer, the Profiles folder is here: C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles

I followed the directions here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer

I basically took the Profiles folder that came with the Thunderbird installation, renamed it (Profiles.orig) and copied in the Profiles folder from the old computer in its place. When I start up Thunderbird, I get this error message:

           Your Thunderbird profile cannon be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible

What am I doing wrong? I've updated Thunderbird on the old computer and copied the Profiles folder over to the new computer again. Same result.

Could it be 1. an issue with the user name on the old computer is different than the one I'm using on the new computer? 2. All files on the new computer are set up as local (the user on the old computer started out as a Microsoft user but I made it local so as not to have to use OneDrive).

I'm stumped. Any help will be very much appreciated. If you need any more details I'm happy to provide them.

I just updated to the latest version of Windows 10, and now when using Firefox (126.0), the url dropdown menu rather than dropping down now "floats" over the browser window with the top cut off. The top url is still there, and I can navigate to it using the arrow keys, but it doesn't show. This is new as of this morning, when Windows updated. No issue in other browsers.

I've recently decided to switch to Thunderbird from Windows Live Mail, which is no longer supported. I also use Mailwasher PRO which displays emails on the server and allows me to delete unwanted emails from the server. If I download emails to Thunderbird, I expect them to be stored automatically on my PC. However, when I subsequently delete them from the server, using Mailwasher, they are deleted from the inboxes in Thunderbird as well.

I'm guessing it's a setup issue but am struggling to find what is wrong. Thanks in advance for your help.

Using Thunderbird on Linux I cannot delete any local folders, when I try to delete them I get more copies of the folders on reopening Thunderbird, after the system says it is "not responding" and I close it down. Attached image, how is it possible that Thunderbird allows Bit Defender to install a spam add on and then protects it to so I can't remove the add on ?

This is just mind boggling.

Further, there is a "Why" link which should explain any logic to doing this, note there is not, and it explains nothing of the sort.

I have better things to do than run behind thunderbird to delete an extension which thunderbird has allows to "Can't be removed".

Is thunderbird with us ? or against us ?

Hi 😊 I’m trying to resolve my sisters’ issue with Thunderbird, and I know nothing about Thunderbird. When I open Thunderbird, I have an issue in that the Archive folder is there but no content is shown

Yet if I go to where the files are they seem to be there. They were working but I accidentally deleted the folder and out of the trash folder as well. If I go into “C:\Users\Sue\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Archives.sbd” where the emails and folders are, they seem to be there but not showing in Thunderbird when I click on any folder in Archive and are appear top be very small, i.e. empty.

I have screen shots if you require but thought not appropriate at this stage.

Hello, I've found this article [[Knowledge Base Article|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/maildir-thunderbird]] which substantially says that the use of maildir is deprecated. Has anything changed from the time that article was posted? I'd like to use maildir, it seems to me a more rational way to store e-mails (and it's also better to make incremental backups).

Thanks in advance Denis

I made a small CSS customization to my tabs in FF 115 ESR on Windows 7, so they would be flat on the bottom and rounded on the top, looking a bit more like tabs instead of buttons.

Looked ok in FF 115 ESR.

However, in FF 125, half the tabs are now cut off, including their text (see attached images).

Also the tabs background is darker in FF 115 ESR, providing more contrast between the tabs and the tab bar. In FF 125, it's almost all white and I can hardly distinguish between the tabs and the tab bar.

Why is there such a big difference in appearance between FF 115 ESR on Windows 7, and FF 125 on Windows 10?

Here is the code I used...

/* ------------------ RESIZE TAB BAR ----------------------------- */ \#TabsToolbar { height: 27px !important; margin-top: -1px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important; } \#tabbrowser-tabs { height:25px!important; min-height:25px!important; }

.tab-background-start[selected=true]::after, .tab-background-start[selected=true]::before, .tab-background-start, .tab-background-end, .tab-background-end[selected=true]::after, .tab-background-end[selected=true]::before {

 min-height:25px!important;

} /* ------------------ RESIZE TAB BAR END ----------------------------- */

/* ------------------ TAB HEIGHT ----------------------------- */

.tabbrowser-tab {
 max-height: 25px !important;
 border-color: #8f939e;

}

.tabbrowser-tabs {

 max-height: 25px !important;
 border-color: #8f939e;

} /* ------------------ TAB HEIGHT END ----------------------------- */

I inserted backslashes at the beginning of the first 2 lines of code above to preserve the hashtag sign (otherwise it displays an index number before those lines), please ignore the backslashes.

I would like my customizations in Firefox 125 to look like the ones I made in 115 ESR.

Is it possible?

Thanks!
