I see an article on moving Thunderbird to another computer, but what if I want to add another computer so that I can use Thunderbird on either one? Is the procedure the same?

Today I made a credit card donation to Mozilla but I still cannot download Thunderbird on to my computer which is running Windows 10. I should be very grateful if someone could guide me through the process. Tony Baker.

Please send me a link to revert my Thunderbird version to one that supports image attachments resizing. Current version does not and there is no compatible add-on for it.

Hi, Sorry to be a nuisance but I have tried all the suggestions to migrate T/bird complete and nothing works, I have been extremely careful that Thunderbird has been closed before making actions. It is a new and "empty" Win 11 25H2 machine.

The second Mozilla suggestion is impossible as my appdata/local folder has many files and is enormous, it does not seem to have a user name in the address either.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, or I will have to manually make a clone of Thunderbird with the email accounts and refer to the W10 machine for stored mail until these become too old to be of interest.

I can;t finish installing Thunderbird mail on my computer. After xing out of the donation page it tells me to finish installing, how??? There is nothing to click on.

Ran your update today. Thunderbird has completely disappeared. The shortcuts no longer work. When doing a search in Explorer I find a Thunderbird folder in C:\Programs. There is no file named Thunderbird there and the three exe files either do noting or complain that something is missing.

I am now missing literally thousands of emails.

I have received two emails from Spark wanting me to switch my email to their program. I hope you can fix this screw up because if you do not I will switch my email to Spark and make my default browser Chrome. I do not support companies that do what you just did. Completely unacceptable.

Hi all. I recently had a terminal problem on my Win 10 computer so have bought a new Win 11 machine. I ran Thunderbird mail on the old Win 10, had 5 email accounts, had about 12 local folders and had my Profile stored in a folder on the desktop. The folder was moved there some years ago but don 't remember how I did it. I moved it there because this folder gets backed up every night.

So, I have managed to remove the HDD from my old machine and have located the 'old' profile folder. I now need to re-install Thunderbird on the new machine and match it up to my old profile folder (I think...)

Any advice on how to do that?

I have a new HD and installed Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. I installed Thunderbird version 2:1 snap 1-Oubuntu3. The program will not open Just get "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I am attempting to install Thunderbird on a new laptop and move personal folders from old to new PC. The installation process finds my email address and ISP information but fails with incorrect password.

Steps - 1. enter user name 2. enter email address 3. install finds correct ISP information 4. accept ISP information without changes 5. enter email password 6. process popup say incorrect user name, ISP info or password 7. login to ATT.NET successfully which indicates to me that the userid and password are correct for email account.

what other information could I supply to assist with problem resolution? I do not know what to do next.
