I was interested in seeing how the profiles worked so I clicked yes to creating one, but once I set another one up I realised I would have to use a separate Mozilla account on it and I would prefer to keep everything on one browser and account. I tried to delete the profiles but it said it would delete all my bookmarks and data, is there any other way to hit undo or something and go back to the way it was before (without profiles)?

What should happen is that the main image should change on mouse hover over one of the images from the column on the left. Also it should be possible to use the left or right navigation arrows on the main image to cycle through the images. Neither of these actions is possible. It works fine on Edge.

I'm trying to stop Firefox from restoring tabs after I restart my OS. So far, I've done the following:

• Disabled `Startup > Open Previous Windows and Tabs`
• Disabled all extensions
• Confirmed I do not have a `user.js` file
• Set `browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash` to `false`
• Set `browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand` to `false`
• Set `browser.sessionstore.resuming_after_os_restart` to `false` (It was already set this way.)
• Set `browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes` to `0`
• Set `privacy.clearOnShutdown.openWindows` to `true`
• Set `browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo` to `0`
• Set `browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo` to `0`

(I've since reverted the last two and the extension changes after they didn't work.)

So far, Firefox will not restore tabs on application restart (manually closing and relaunching) or on crashing (after sending SIGTERM/SIGKILL), but it still restores tabs after restarting the OS (if I allow the OS to kill it during shutdown). I've seen a couple suggestions to disable history completely, but I do occasionally refer to my browsing history, so I'd prefer a less-drastic approach. Ideally, I just want Firefox to treat the first launch after a shutdown as a normal launch and not apply any special behavior. Any help would be much appreciated!

System: Fedora 42 (Workstation Edition) Running Firefox 144.0.2 on Gnome 48.6-1.fc42

I have received 3 system alerts, all from Mozilla Firefox (I use Firefox as my default browser). 1) System is infected!---click on d45n9f8ko90s738b610.gsx-protect.co.in 2) ZEUS.2020 Trojan detected--with same directed site 3) System Alert!---with same directed site.

I use McAfee as my security system. They recommend going to Firefox settings and disallowing random site connections. How do I get my system running again.

Latest McAfee scan shows 45 entries deleted and 2 browsers reset

Laptop running Windows 10 pro. Firefox 144. Is there a method for sorting firefox bookmarks into alphabetical order (yet)? I see from questions asked years ago that Firefox hasn't had a way to sort all bookmarks into alphabetical order in one go. Is this still the case? It seems hard to believe that the only way to do this is to sort each folder individually. I noticed that I can do this (and have done) on Android, but not on the laptop.

Je choisis de me connecter avec un mot de passe et après avoir validé le mot de passe, j'arrive sur une page qui me dit d'utiliser un autre appareil ou une autre méthode de connexion. Je joins les fenêtres de connexion étape par étape Avec Google Chrome (que je ne veux pas utiliser), je me connecte sans problème à ma boite mail avec les même étapes décrites ci-dessus. (If any relevance, I'm on Macos 12 Monterey) 'Installation and updates' seemed the nearest topic due to the 'update' part of it, since this seems to only have been happening since this version, or I have simply not noticed due to not having needed to know. But if you look at my two screenshots, you will see the issue. There simply is no About Firefox on my firefox. Neither directly listed on the menu, nor as part of the 'help' sub menu.

Is there, for the sake of learning, a simple fix, so that I donlt have to uninstall/re-install? or an 'about config' type fix? Screenshot 1 shows the menu Screenshot 2 shows help sub-menu As you can see, absolutely no About Firefox

And, only potential issue may be, as you'll see from the share data upload is that I've a lot of tabs open, as I've got a lot to get through toniught, and tomorrow. So, maybe, t=though doubtfully, it is because it isn't handling the tabs and this caused a menu entry to be missing? Surely not likely.

Unsure if it really matter, for now, but my firefox account, when I go to edit bits and pieces, it gets my Firefox version correct, but gets my MacOs version wrong. I'm on 12.76 (Monterey), but Firefox is showing me as 10. Is this normal or anything that might matter?

Something very bad happened to me today (11/3)....

Firefox 144.0.2 was installed on 10/30/25, and everything has been fine until today. I don't know why or how, but ALL of my OPEN tabs (of which I have many--and have it fixed so they always re-open when Firefox starts), ALL went away.

In reading conventional steps to recover such from sessionstore-backups, those instructions sounded straightforward. However, even though ALL FIREFOX PROCESSES were ended, I could not copy the contents of the sessionstore-backups folder nor could I delete anything--EVEN THOUGH I am the owner.

Even after providing Admin perms.

I could get rid of profiles.ini, which initially proved diasterous, because then Firefox thought I was brand new, so ALL of my passwords saved through Firefox these many years, went "poof".

Fortunately, I was able to get that back, but I still cannot get all of my tabs back, and conventional instructions to do so aren't working.

After recovering from my heart attack for initially losing my passwords, I am breathing a little better right now, but it sure would be nice to get all of my open tabs back again. I don't know why I am not able to manipulate the files within sessionstore-backups. I think if I could eliminate the files in that folder EXCEPT for upgrade.jsonlz4-20251027123126, which possesses a 10/29/25 date, these should be the open tabs just before the 144.0.2 installation, and all should be right with the world, once more.

I have performed/examined many steps offered under this category, but most assume I can copy them elsewhere for safe-keeping and/or removing all but the one I want Firefox to "use". Because something is preventing me from doing this, though, I am being stymied in what ought to be the solution. As a test, I was able to copy files from a much older profile--so I can prove the basic steps SHOULD HAVE worked. Unfortunately, I cannot do the same with THE (more recent) folder in question. I can't get rid of parent.lock, either (and I have ensured no Firefox processes are running via Task Manager).

Repeatedly.

Something else is at work, here. Any help or assistance from community experts would be most helpful.

After the recent update that added profiles to Firefox I have gotten them working on my personal computer but not on my work pc.

The option for creating profiles showed up once when launching the browser but I had to dismiss it at the time. Now I can't find the option to create profiles any more, I have followed the guides that mozilla have put out but the option physically is not there.

I have also tried reinstalling Firefox but that also did not work.

what do?

Hey, I am trying to synchronize my mobile tabs with my desktop app. Unfortunately, this is not working. I am using the latest version of Firefox and Windows 10. Any ideas how and if I can solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

I have a bookmark folder with 12 entries. In the bookmark manager, I see all 12 entries. when I select the bookmark folder from the toolbar, the drop down menu only lists four entries,

Since the last update, the firefox taskbar icon is showing a strange shopping card icon? How can I remove it? I am not shopping with Firefox, I am using it as my web browser.
