Running 128.4.2esr (64-bit) on Mac Book Pro (14-inch, 2021 - Apple M1 Max).
I have been using Thunderbird across multiple accounts for years, and have collected a really decent amount of email history. Quick-Filters have always formed a large part of my workflow to find emails from given people. I do not take the time to filter messages into sub-folders etc, but rely on these tools to access the mails I need to get to.
In these recent versions, the Quick Filters have stopped working for me across all of my accounts.
When I attempt to use them, by entering a part of someone's email address, or part of a known subject, then click on the filter type I want to use, the indictor to show that the filter is active never changes. I use a dark theme, and expect the filter option to show it's actively applied with the light blue indicator on the filter's button. - This never happens.
In addition, while the displayed contents of the mailbox folder change, the filter itself is never appropriately applied to limit the content which is shown.
I had been sitting patiently on the sidelines hoping that this would be fixed in a new release, but I can't see much evidence of others suffering this same problem yet, and so I don't believe this is being addressed as a bug (yet).
I have enabled Troubleshooting mode to check with add-ons disabled etc, and that hasn't changed this behaviour for me.
This is quite an issue for me as it's affecting how easily I can use my local client. I've ended up having to return to webmail in order to find emails which I should be able to find in my client.
Anyone else having these problems? - Thanks.
