Since the last update (V. 148.0 ) the translation button in the search bar has gone. I have checked settings there is nothing and there is no translation option in thew hamburger menu. What have you done !!!

For example, the word thema, is exclusively capitalized in German, and it shows as error indeed when lowercase, but the capitalized one is not offered in the options. Why is that and how to fix it?

Also, is there a way to autocorrect capitalization for example?

I'm quite excited about the translation feature as that was one of the features that was always really useful in Chrome but I missed in Firefox. However, I noticed that Korean is not among the languages for translation.

Is there any timeline or plan to add Korean to the list of languages? Are there any complications that prevent Korean being added at all?

I'd highly appreciate if you could give me some insight into this.

Tôi nhận thấy hiện nay trình duyệt đã hỗ trợ dịch từ tiếng Việt sang tiếng Anh, nhưng chiều ngược lại thì chưa có. Rất mong cộng đồng hoặc đội ngũ phát triển có thể chia sẻ thêm thông tin về việc liệu tính năng này có nằm trong kế hoạch phát triển tương lai hay không, và nếu có thì dự kiến khi nào sẽ ra mắt. As far as I can tell from reading the help pages, the Firefox translation feature should automatically translate any page in any available language, unless explicitly set not to do so. However, I observe that no translation occurs unless I first select text, right click, and select translate, and even then, the translation is presented as unformatted text in a separate dialog box, which is not much better than copying and pasting web pages into some other translator service. Am I missing something here?

Sadly, this is not even close to being competitive with the Google Translate level of functionality. I use Google Translate every day to read package labels in grocery stores, road signs, and a host of other written sources of information. Occasionally, I even use it to hold conversations with people I would not otherwise be able to talk to. So far, I am nearly monolingual, and I am unwilling to do without this; I probably wouldn't travel if it were not available. It does tie me to that fraction of the surface area of the earth where high speed internet access is generally available, but I don't really need to go any places where it is not; I am not trying to hike across Antarctica. I understand that there is a loss of privacy when dealing with Google, but I do whatever I can to fend that off, and the value of the free services I receive in exchange is huge. What's the future of Firefox in this respect?

Dlaczego w ostatnich wersjach przeglądarki brak możliwości dodania do paska adresu ikony tłumaczenia strony z innego języka ?.. W poprzednich wersjach, jeszcze nie tak dawno - była ! Podobno ma się ona pokazywać automatycznie gdy Firefox wykryje stronę w języku innym niż ustawiony jako domyślny język interfejsu i komunikatów - nie pokazuje się automatycznie, lub Firefox nie wykrywa języka w jakim wyświetla się strona. Za to - w "hamburgerze" (przycisku Ustawień w górnym prawym rogu) pojawiła się opcja "Przetłumacz stronę" - 1 kliknięcie "hamburger", 2 kliknięcie "przetłumacz stronę", 3 kliknięcie - potwierdź polecenie przetłumaczenia strony .... bez sensu !!! Zamiast jednego kliknięcia w ikonkę na pasku adresu !

Żadne to ułatwienie, czy polepszenie komfortu użytkowania przeglądarki - powinno to być poprawione natychmiast i wrócić do poprzedniej formy ikonki wyświetlanej właśnie na pasku adresu !

Hi, During spellcheck, the option to accept a flagged misspelling using the "Add To Dictionary" appears in the menu. Where are these entries stored? If they are editable I'd like to fix an occasional error. In addition, I'd like to keep a copy of my own additions that can be dropped into a fresh Firefox install.

Dlaczego zawsze gdy chcę przetłumaczyć stronę pokazują mi się -tłumaczenie z język polski na język perski? Zawsze muszę wprowadzać, że chcę przetłumaczyć z język angielski na polski na przykład. Nie wiem jak mogę to zmienić by móc szybciej przetłumaczyć konkretną stronę? Skąd zawsze pokazuje się ten język perski. Chcę by zawsze wskazywało mi,że chcę przetłumaczyć np z język angielski na polski i nie potzebuję ustawiać, by wszystkie strony tłumaczyły się na język polski. Może ktoś wie jak usunąć tą podpowiedź tłumaczenia z język polski na język polski i ustawić inną podpowiedź? Dziękuję wraz z pozdrowieniami.

If I search for something else it comes up in English. I have gone to settings and set my default as English. I have followed all the instructions, but I still get French. How can I change this. I am not French speaking.

It's checked in settings, the US english language pack is installed, I did the about:config thing as well and it's still not working. Oh yeah, also used troubleshoot mode - turned off all addons - and still doesn't work.

I have installed the English GB language for spellchecking, but it doesnt show in the dropdown menu. It only shows Dutch.

1. The browser's built-in full page translation function has poor translation performance, even far lower than other browser functions.

2. The font modification in the settings cannot take effect on the translated page font. For example, when opening a literature page (Elsevier) and clicking on the built-in full page translation, the font does not change.

3. When the page becomes a fixed tab, the prompts before closing multiple tabs will become invalid, and clicking the close button will close all tabs without prompts.

It should be pointed out that the loading speed of this browser is very fast. I feel that using this browser fully utilizes the performance of my computer, rather than some browsers that use a new era CPU and GPU, but the loading speed is the same as more than a decade ago. In addition, this browser has highly personalized features that meet my needs. It would be even better if the above issues could be resolved.

I have a Debian 11 VAIO laptop, with Firefox ESR 115.14.0esr 64.

I have tried the settings menus (there is nothing about translation there, not even in languages.

Tried as well the about:config (several entries).

Nothing happens, annoying auto-translation bar shows up all the time and automatically translates several languages.

Really can't stand any longer...

Please help!
